He gave us great recommendations and knew how to make the night flow seamlessly. Once the party started, it never stopped. Everyone was on the dance floor and having a blast. He went above and beyond and used an app where we could curate our timeline, song choices, and personalized touches. He even took behind the scenes photos and so many videos and audio files of virtually our entire reception. “We knew Cover Story was the perfect choice for our wedding from our very first call with Chris. Chris and Elena made the entire planning process clear and easy from start to finish. They made us feel totally safe asking all of our questions and took care of everything, working with our venue effortlessly. The performers on the day were phenomenal, and our guests are still talking about it! Their talent was incredible, and they were kind, fun, and professional to work with. Our ceremony guitarist learned our entrance songs and performed them beautifully. Our special dances were played from mp3 and were timed perfectly. Even though we honestly didn't give them much direction for timing, they just nailed it! And then the party! Our family and friends love to dance, and the band kept the energy high all night long. They even learned a couple of extra songs for us that sounded amazing. Their talent is honestly unreal. They definitely were supposed to take more breaks than they did, but they just kept playing, and even gave us an encore. After the wedding, we got to chat with some of the band members, and they were all so kind and genuinely cool people. “We worked with Kevin Maldonado for our 11.17 ceremony and reception at the Granite Rose in Hampstead NH. Main Event was the recommended DJ service from our venue, and the matching process to put us with the rigth DJ was so easy. Once we met with Kevin, we had high hopes for our big day, and I am not exaggerating when I say that Kevin blew our hopes out of the water. Kevin helped with audio for our ceremony, before doing music and speeches at our cocktail hour and reception. We requested a high energy dancefloor, with classics from all decades to get everyone on their feet, and wanted to have an insane dance party with our friends and family. He killed it. “You should ABSOLUTELY choose DJ Kelsey for your wedding — or any event, really. When my wife and I started searching for vendors, we approached every decision with a lot of thought and research. On the Get Down Tonight website, I watched all the DJs’ introduction videos. At first, I realized I had inadvertently skipped the female DJs, immediately corrected myself, and watched their videos. Both women were fantastic, but Kelsey instantly stood out. While many DJs covered the usual talking points, Kelsey was the only one who emphasized being detail-oriented — mastering the pronunciation of every name, paying attention to pacing, and understanding the many moving parts of a wedding. She’s all about creating an incredible dance floor vibe, but she also clearly understands the responsibility of running the flow of an entire event. The DJ truly sets the tone, and Kelsey takes that seriously. Our friends and family love to be silly and have fun on the dance floor, and Kelsey understood that energy immediately. She chose songs perfectly, and throughout the night people kept complimenting our DJ while we were still dancing. My response every time was, “I know — she just gets it!” Kelsey asked us to create playlists of must-plays and do-not-plays, but by our final planning call we fully trusted her judgment. One moment that absolutely blew us away happened after my two brothers gave their speech. They told a childhood story involving a niche, repetitive song I used to sing, and even sang it as part of the speech. After speeches ended and dinner music resumed — surprise! — Kelsey had somehow found that exact song and played it at the perfect moment. Everyone cracked up, and we got so many compliments on her quick thinking. I had even suspected she might do it as my brothers were singing, and she didn’t disappoint. At the end of the night, Kelsey shared the sweetest comments with us about our wedding, saying how wonderful our guests were and how warmly everyone treated the vendors. The next day she sent us a short clip of our first dance, along with kind words that meant a lot — especially since I had choreographed it myself. In another guest’s video, you can even see her cheering for us along with our friends and family. Kelsey told us she felt like a guest at our wedding, and I honestly consider that one of the highest compliments she could have given us — because that’s exactly how present, genuine, and connected she was throughout the night. Ripcord's diversity is impressive; however, it'll likely be the remarkable accuracy, energy, and feel with which they perform that will blow you away.

“Ripcord is the best wedding band you could be lucky enough to find at a wedding! They bring such incredible energy combined with a high-end musicianship that creates a memorable experience that will have your guests complimenting you for months. We’ve now been to four weddings soundtracked by Ripcord, but our favorite was our own. We discovered them in 2017 at one of our best friends’ wedding, and they were such a fun band that they’ve been the first call as everyone in our friend group gets married. We made sure to book them as soon as we secured our venue (about a year before our August wedding), because even though there are three bands within Ripcord, they get reserved quickly. We knew we wanted a horn section, so we hired the 8-piece (male singer, female singer, guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, trumpet, trombone). We had a couple calls with our day-of wedding coordinator and Ananda, Ripcord’s incredibly friendly event coordinator, about 4 weeks and 2 weeks before the big day to go over the timeline and details surrounding our first dance and parent dances, and our entrance. One of the key reasons we chose Ripcord was the extensive song list published on their website, which is not only long but spans practically every genre. This included bands I love but some of which I’d never subject my wedding guests to! (311, Gin Blossoms, and deep cuts from Dave Matthews Band for some reason?) Ananda assured us that they could play pretty much every song we asked for, even ones not on their list. As the bride and groom, we of course missed a few songs but they seemed to hit 80-90% of our request list. In addition to our first dances, which required them to learn a couple new songs (“Lover” remix by Taylor Swift and Shawn Mendes, and an obscure Israeli tune), Ripcord were happy to let me create one of the highlights of a lifetime by letting me play drums with the band for “Boys of Summer” by The Ataris. Ripcord also provided a keyboardist for our ceremony on the beach, learning two more songs for our processionals and recessional (“You” by Dan & Shay, “Enchanted” by Taylor Swift), which helped create such a beautiful atmosphere. We appreciated the very reasonable payment timeline (50% when you book, 50% on event day). One minor issue was that we could not hear the dinner set in the dining area despite our paying to add an extra PA system to do so, but this would probably not be an issue for most couples hiring Ripcord. Because we had a day-of wedding coordinator, we didn’t handle any logistics ourselves on our wedding day, but we heard of no other logistical issues.”

Every transition was seamless and emotional when it needed to be and so much fun when it was time to celebrate. the lighting throughout the evening was stunning, and elegant during dinner and then energetic and vibrant once the dancing began, the dance floor was never empty. He did an incredible job reading the room, keeping the energy high and getting guests of all ages out and moving! seeing my friends doing the worm and splits was hysterical They are a wild bunch, but he encouraged every minute of it so that we were having a blast. The Photo Booth and voicemail phone were huge hits and had everyone laughing, being silly and creating memories we will cherish forever. “Alan C was easy and great to work with! We had a music range from Bad Bunny, Creed, The Killers and more! We shared with him a playlist of some of our favorite songs, a list of "do not play" whether they were styles of music, artists or specific songs and a "must play" list. His online forum was easy to navigate and use. We loved the uplighting and the audio guestbook (phone)!! Also I appreciate that he read and followed through with all the small notes we left for him (specifically we asked for father/daughter, mother/son and first dance to end after the chorus and not play the entire 3-4 minutes). Such a great time. We received so many compliments on our music and the dance floor was busy all night long! He was always very responsive and quick to work with any last minute changes (we had a rainy day).”
