My name is Ali Cushing; a NY-based photographer working in a blended documentary and editorial approach, emphasized with a cinematic method, and a personalized, true to life editing style. I am honored to be entrusted with depicting genuine love, authentic characters, and immortalizing precious memories. I see beauty in the subtle details as much as the wide, epic scene, while I see glory in the mundane in-between moments as much as the heart thudding highs. I am adamant that everyone, of all genders and orientations, any ethnicity, culture, or faith, all shapes, ages, and abilities, are welcome and I’d be delighted to work with you.

Awarded Best of Zola
My husband and I cannot recommend Ali enough to anyone looking for a photographer!! We first got in contact with Ali last year for our planned wedding, but due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to have our big day, BUT we were lucky enough to transfer her services over to my sister and brother and law! After meeting Ali in person on their wedding day and seeing the magic she can do, it was an absolute no brainer that she would be there for our big day and any and every other event we need photography for! She truly became family and we cannot thank her enough for everything she’s done! She goes above and beyond in her work and truly makes the day so much easier and more fun than ever!

Hiring Calea as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our entire wedding. From the very beginning, she was warm, professional, and so easy to work with—but on the wedding day itself, she truly blew us away. Calea has this amazing ability to capture not just the big, beautiful moments, but also the little in-between ones that mean the most. She handled our wild, fun-loving crew with such grace and patience, and somehow managed to keep everything organized while still letting us just be ourselves. The photos she delivered feel like pure magic—every glance, laugh, and happy tear preserved in the most stunning way. And she always goes above and beyond what you imagine. Beyond her talent, Calea felt like family. She blended right in with our guests, and so many people commented on how wonderful she was to be around. I’m endlessly thankful that she got to experience the joy and love of our day right alongside us, and even more thankful that she gave us the gift of reliving it all through her lens. If you’re looking for someone who will not only take breathtaking photos but also bring joy, calm, and heart to your wedding day. Calea is truly the best of the best, and we are forever grateful to her.

I am a photographer and artist from the Pacific Northwest with Costa Rican and Scottish roots. My favorite things are dinosaurs, exploring new cities, board games, soccer, National Parks, and whiskey. I have been fortunate to photograph 200+ weddings in my PNW home, to ruins in Scotland, cityscapes in Vietnam, to the beaches of Maui, and beyond! I live in Portland, Oregon with my two dogs and three cats | 🏳️‍🌈🦖⛰️✈️📸⚽🫶🏼🌈🌲🦕🏝 Fun Fact: I was born on Leap Year Day so I'm 9 years old 🥳!

Awarded Best of Zola
Leah photographed our wedding at my family's property in Napa Valley, June 2024. Leah took lots of time to scope out the location and seemed to be absolutely *everywhere* during the wedding, at all the right moments. I didn't have to call her over once, because she was already there. She captured the emotions of the day, the little moments, the big moments, and made our day look like the fairytale wedding that it felt like. Once we got the photo gallery back (so quickly!) we relived the day all over again. We were tearing up and laughing at all the photos. I felt like I was looking at photos from a Brides magazine, but it was me! Another thing I'll mention is that Leah gives direction in a kind, calm and encouraging way. My husband is not too confident in photos and he felt SO comfortable posing with her there, and loves his photos too! I felt like she could guide me into more flattering poses when I felt uncertain about my angles. I love Leah and her work and would recommend her to anyone!

Venture Ever After
Rating: 5.0 (20 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,200
  • Serves Myrtle Point, OR

My name is Nadia. I specialize in elopements + adventure weddings in the Pacific Northwest. I help people have the wedding of their dreams in magical outdoor spaces. When you choose to elope, you’re choosing to get married free of society’s wedding day expectations. So go wild! Spend the entire day in your favorite place, with your favorite person. Wear a fancy outfit, or wear your hiking boots. Invite your dog instead of your mom’s second cousin. Share your first kiss under the stars instead of under an altar. In the great outdoors, you write the wedding rules. And I’m here to help make it an experience you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Awarded Best of Zola
When we began looking for a photographer for our micro-wedding, we gravitated towards Nadia’s images over and over again. Not only did they capture raw, intimate moments between couples and families, but they elevated those moments in elegant and natural landscapes of the PNW; everything we wanted. We reached out and set up a consultation call immediately. We were initially nervous and felt very unprepared to speak with photographers because we had zero ideas for what our special day would look like, but after our call with Nadia we were confident that Venture Ever After was the right choice for us. She was so knowledgeable and did a TON of legwork planning our timeline to best capture the moments we wanted in the lighting we needed, recommending a variety of locations for some private moments as a couple and group activities with our family, and keeping us grounded and calm throughout the entire process. On our wedding day, Nadia took the reigns and gently guided us through the day with compassion and grace. She constantly reminded us that each moment was for us and encouraged us to revel in all of the details. She even conquered some pretty crazy heights armed with multiple cameras and a walky-talky to capture some dramatic and beautiful couple’s portraits. Beyond being an incredible photographer, Nadia is one of the most genuine and kind people I’ve met. She has a knack for keeping elopement/wedding day energy light and helping her clients feel natural in front of the camera. My partner and I truly felt like models. I feel so blessed to have our wedding photographed by her and, above all, be able to call her a friend. I would recommend Nadia at Venture Ever After to everyone planning an elopement, wedding, or adventure in the PNW. In fact, I hope to be able to visit her and capture anniversaries and momentous occasions for our family long into the future.

Just here to show off Myrtle Creative Co. Photography with Ann Marie! We recently got our sneak peaks back from our wedding July 2024. We had a multi-day event in and near North Cascades. (both elopement and wedding, so we have best of both of what Ann offers) We were looking for a down to earth photographer (to make us comfy) and one who traveled, but ended up with that and more! We had met up virtually with many other photographers before picking her! She was very helpful throughout the planning process, helped with advice on my indecisiveness and helped think of things no one else did day of and during the planning. Not to mention her talent (see attached!!) I have 0 complaints and only raves about our experience. (this is coming from a very type A person who doesn't usually write reviews) She was amazing and would recommend 10/10. Thanks Ann!

Maria was extremely thoughtful and helped us think through what was important to us with the photographs. Were were really excited to get the first looks back (really quick turnaround time) and relive the day. The quality and perspective of the photos is beautiful and exactly what we were hoping for. Weddings and elopements are so distinctly and uniquely human, and it’s truly the biggest honor to be trusted to document them.

Mae was an absolute pleasure to work with. I knew I liked her from the very first call. She was thorough and asked good questions to make sure she could capture what we wanted. I love the vintage-inspired look of the photos and video. She communicated when she said she would and I always received a quick response to any questions or messages I had. On the wedding day, I couldn’t imagine anyone who would make it as special as Mae did. She was more than a photographer- she helped me put on myself shoes, hyped up all the little details I stressed months over, and was just such a joy. I cannot recommend Mae enough. I loved all the photos and the video made me cry. Mae is the type of person you want to be friends with after everything is done. Trust me, book Mae!!

I’m a Northern California wedding photographer capturing timeless, romantic moments that tell the story of your day. I’ve also photographed many beautiful locations throughout San Francisco. Explore my full portfolio on the website to see if my style feels like the perfect fit for you.

Awarded Best of Zola
Laurie Ann Martin and her team are a fun and professional group to work with. She is detailed oriented and cares not only how the pictures turn out but also your experience. My eyelash came off and I wanted to cry at city hall but she not only made me happy but went to Walgreens to get eye glue lash! That is the type of all hats on board she and her team are. When they had down time before the reception, they even offered to help out non-picture wise wherever they could! She also sends little gifts and surprises but I won’t spoil it. There is one BIG surprise she does at the end but I won’t spoil that either lol. She is fortunately not shy about whether she understands whether things are communicated correctly to her, especially when it comes to the albums - I was quite detailed oriented in what I wanted in my albums and how they were designed _. Her and her teams services are of an immense value and my husband and I had ALOT of fun shooting and videoing with them. Also, the video was really great, really a must. Thank you Laurie and your team!

We were stoked. He was amazing to work with on the wedding day - punctual, friendly, got all the requested shots, and the whole bridal party loved him. We got our pictures back today - and they’re so much better than we could have dreamed of. It’s no wonder he was featured in Vogue - his work is artistic, candid, and beautiful. While planning our wedding, I knew I needed a photographer with a unique eye—someone who could zoom in on the most intimate, fleeting moments, but also zoom out and capture the full picture. That’s exactly what Coral delivered. I first found Coral before the wedding & was lucky enough to do an engagement shoot with her. She followed us around during a casual day in NYC, but somewhere along the way, she became so much more than just a photographer—she became a friend. She truly has an eye for love and knows exactly how to capture it in the most natural, effortless way. She is an absolute sweetheart and such a joy to work with—something that honestly goes without saying once you meet her. The photos from our engagement shoot were so incredible that hiring her for our wedding was an easy decision. And somehow, she exceeded every expectation. It almost feels strange to say we “hired” her, because it felt like having a friend there with us the entire day. She delivered more than we could have ever asked for. Everything was absolutely breathtaking—the photos, the videos, every single detail. Each image felt better than the last, & the variety in her style kept everything so interesting and elevated. Looking back at everything she captured feels like reliving the entire experience, and for that we are beyond grateful. 3

Working with Kristy was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. She was communicative with the process of wedding planning and was flexible with our schedule. When we told her about our change in our wedding date, Kristy was not only understanding but was also very accommodating… which we appreciated so much! The day of our wedding, Kristy arrived on time (6am!) and was able to capture beautiful sunrise pictures. She was so great with our big crazy family. She was also very flexible when we had to change up our outside venue to inside due to the rain. Kristy even stayed to take cute solo pics of me by the pool. We’re just so happy that Kristy really captured the happiness and fun of our special day. We’re so excited to share these photos and we will treasure them forever. Thank you Kristy! XO!
