We gave DJ Shyne what we thought was an impossible challenge: blend pop hits, Spanish tunes, emo throwbacks, Disney jams, booty-shaking hip hop, and a long list of theme songs from our favorite TV shows and movies (everything from The White Lotus to Saw). On top of that, we added a handful of random, deeply personal songs you’d never expect at a wedding. What happened? Not only did he execute this perfectly, but he became the catalyst for a wedding that felt curated exactly to US—spinning a history of us both as individuals and our journey together woven into a seamless soundtrack. His mixing was unique, unexpected, and so much fun. As the bride, there was no place I wanted to be except on that dance floor. Our guests went wild. Compliments poured in all night and days after. We got so many texts like, “BROOO your DJ?! ” that we started to lose count. But it wasn’t just about the music. From the very first Zoom, DJ Shyne radiated charisma and professionalism. He carried that positive energy into every planning meeting and right through the reception—he even gave our speakers personal pep talks before their toasts! And when it came to group dances, he did something I’ve never seen: he stepped onto the dance floor, mic in hand, and taught the moves live. Towards the end of the Cha Cha Slide, he started teaching the crowd the moves to the Cupid Shuffle so by the time it started they were already doing it!!! No confusion, no awkward guessing, just pure joy and inclusion. He quickly became the vendor we looked forward to meeting with most. We ended each Zoom call feeling assured, uplifted, and excited about the possibilities. Out of everyone we worked with, he was the best. It does not get better than DJ Shyne. “What can I say about Jay besides "WOW". I had wonderful service from all of my vendors and still, I was blown away by the service given to us by Jay. Instead of just providing us with music on our wedding night, he made sure to build a relationship with us and cater every aspect of his services solely to us. Meeting with him made it feel like you were the only client he was working with and he really made you feel cared for and appreciated. He was wonderful during covid, working with us to move our date seamlessly, and met with us multiple times to create a custom first dance song, complete with private interviews with my husband and me that was a surprise to hear for both of our guests and us as a couple. People told us they teared up at our first dance and that it was the best first dance they had ever seen because of the wonderful work Jay did. He stepped up and performed duties that weren't even required of him, like making sure we stuck to our timeline and got announcements that needed to be made to our guests. Jay really carried to vibe of the party on his own by playing a wonderful mix of music for all age groups at my wedding and kept the dance floor full all night. “We hired Closing Time for our wedding band and they absolutely blew us away. Due to weather issues out of our control (including loss of electricity at the venue), the band was unfortunately unable to play live music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. However, they were able to quickly transition to prerecorded versions of our processional/recessional songs. Despite the power still being out for the first two hours of our reception, Closing Time delivered. They were incredibly professional throughout and the live music was absolutely phenomenal. Multiple guests came up to us throughout the night asking how we found them, as well as telling us this was the best wedding band they has heard. Their captivating performance kept the dance floor full the entire evening. I can't thank Closing Time enough for providing such amazing music for our wedding”

He even provided microphones for our ceremony (even though we had a string quartet for our ceremony and cocktail hour) and had the perfect lighting setup for the dance floor, which added so much energy to the night. And when it came time to dance — the dance floor was packed all night long. He read the crowd perfectly, kept the momentum going, and played music that truly reflected us. We loved that he wasn’t heavy on the mic; he let the music speak for itself and created such an amazing atmosphere. Our guests are still raving about how great the DJ was! Daniel went above and beyond in every way, and we’re so grateful to him for making our night unforgettable. “In today's world everything is extremely overpriced and service is terrible. My wedding was very stressful for me because of this. I did not have a DJ or a Photographer and honestly was considering just something small scale, until I talked to Ed from DJ Double E. I would give them 10 stars out 5. From the minute I talked to Ed it was a breath of fresh air from the million other outrageously priced DJ's. The price is unbeatable but that's not why I would recommend them. They are absolutely phenomenal and made my entire wedding. The music was perfect from ceremony to the last dance. They were so professional, so involved and so fun. We had a daytime (early) wedding. It is so challenging to get people up and have a good time at 12:30 in the afternoon, I was having meltdowns about it, they reassured me but had the entire place up and having fun. You didn't know if it was day or night. They helped us more than the attendants at the venue. Over 100 guests said how amazing they were. The pictures they took could not be any better. Any other DJ who had packages like this (photo booth etc...) were THOUSANDS, yes THOUSANDS, more!!! I really hate to admit but I'm not easily pleased however I would put my name on the line for DJ Double E after how they made my wedding. DJ Double E exceeded all my and my husband's expectations and -consider yourself lucky if you hire them for any event. I'll be calling them again!!!”
