“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

The majority of our guests (we had a lot) either didn’t leave the dance floor or kept coming back! As the bride I only left to cool off then right back out to the best dancing songs he was playing. He narrated our guys vs girls flip cup game and even judged (girls won by default). All around an amazing job and I’d recommend him to anyone looking for a fun DJ who isn’t afraid to lend a hand and help get the job done, even if it’s a bit out of his job description. Thank you!”

“We are an older couple, and this was a second marriage for both of us, so I am not sure most people would understand the amount of time and effort we spent to find the perfect DJ for our wedding. We are a blended family with 8 adult children, and 5 grandchildren. We were both young parents, so our kids are early 20's, and we have extended family into their 80's - we are literally talking decades of music tastes to cater to. We are both avid music lovers, so having someone that could work with us to help set the perfect tone for our day was vitally important. We started looking for our vendors 2 years ahead of time and when I say we literally vetted over 50 DJs to find the perfect one, it is not a stretch of the truth. What first drew us to DJ Johnny was his videos. We were looking for a DJ that was fun and outgoing, someone to interact with the guests, but not be overbearing. We had been to plenty of weddings where the DJs barely interacted with the guests, and others where you felt like you were in a club and the show was all about the DJ and not the couple. Neither of these were the vibe we were looking for. What we wanted was someone who was experienced, loved their job and knew how to read the room to keep the party going. DJ Johnny's videos seemed to show just that, so we scheduled a call with him. After talking to him, we were fairly certain we had found our guy, but did our due diligence with our other DJ choices as well. We kept coming back to Johnny, because of his personality. He was confident in his skills, but he was in no way arrogant or overbearing. Just very down to Earth and fun loving - a guy who seemed to be fortunate enough to be able to do what he loved and bring other people joy at the same time. After a second call, where Johnny was able to answer some potential concerns, we knew we had our DJ. Johnny is amazing with answering any emails and addressing any questions or concerns. He was able to cater to the music and any announcements we needed. We have family with some very hard to pronounce names, and he made notes to make sure he pronounced everyone's names perfectly (bride's included). He performed for both our ceremony and reception, and the amount of compliments from guests about the music were too numerous to count. There was hardly a moment where the dance floor was empty, he kept the music flowing, the energy high, the guests engaged and just the entire night was fantastic. I can honestly say that our wedding could not have been as flawless as it was without the help of DJ Johhny. Words alone cannot express our gratitude with DJ Johnny and the integral part he played in making our day both memorable and absolutely perfect. If we ever have the need for a DJ again in the future, DJ Johnny will most certainly be our guy!”

“We booked John with Power Play Entertainment for our wedding and are extremely happy we did. We did a lot of research into DJs during the planning process as we knew it was an important role and could mean the difference between a fun wedding and an awkward one. “The communication with Prime 1 Productions could have been better leading up to the wedding. While they did a decent job overall with the music and entertainment, they could have done a better job reading the vibe of the room and playing more of a variety of songs that got everyone dancing. The person I booked with was not the one who actually came to our wedding, which was a bit of a surprise. However, the DJ who did come was very nice and tried his best, even though he messed up the intro to our first dance a bit. Overall, Prime 1 Productions provided a serviceable performance, but I wish they had been a bit more in tune with the energy and preferences of our guests.”

“All I can say is WOW!!!!! For starters, working with EBE was so easy. From my first call with Mike, I knew we were in good hands. He gave us all the info and answered any questions we had. Before I get to the band, we also had a photo booth through EBE and I am so happy we decided to add it. Our guests loved it!! PLUS the attendant made an awesome album of all of the pictures with notes from our guests!! That was such a special thing to have to look through the next morning. And the attendant couldn’t have been any sweeter!! Now for the band…. We chose RIO and it was the best decision we made. Jonathan, the bandleader, was so kind and easy to work with. We emailed back and forth about what we’d like for the wedding and filled out a sheet that kinda organized all our thoughts. When we met with Jonathan we left the call and were like we are going to have the best wedding ever. He said “we’re going to knock the paint off the walls” and he did not disappoint!!!!! Rio was ELECTRIC. For one they are so so talented!! We had multiple guests say they performed songs better than the artist and we do not disagree!!! They had EVERYONE on the dance floor all night long - all different ages. And that is exactly what we wanted for our wedding. My husband and I love to dance and just love everyone being together and having a good time. You could feel the love and happiness in the room all night long and that is in large part because of Rio. The band members even came out and got on the dance floor at points and we LOVED it. They played hit after hit, fed off the crowd and perfectly fit the vibe we wanted. the next morning, the venue coordinator told us in her 15 years there, she’s never seen the dance floor that packed the entire night. She said usually there’s a lull but it never happened. And that’s all because of Rio!!! Jonathan helped us create a timeline for the night as well and it was perfect. It never felt like people were sitting at their tables for too long, which is something we really wanted to avoid. Everyone just had so much fun. We are STILL getting texts from our friends and family saying they wish they could party with Rio again. Everyone said it was the best wedding band they’ve ever experienced and my husband and I couldn’t agree more. Thank you Jonathan, EBE, and Rio for everything!!!!!”

We were bummed and worried - hopeful that ours would be fun and get people out there! Ryan was AMAZING.
