Man, oh man, where do I begin. Everything was a breeze working with Sound Originals. The prices were awesome for the huge amount of photos we got back, and how stunning they turned out. Josie and Zan were our photographers and they were so fun to work with!! They knew exactly how to capture our day the best and most memorable ways possible, and we couldn't be happier with our giant collection of pictures of the big day. They arrived smack on time, stayed till the last possible minute, and didn't waste a moment in between. Thank you Sound Originals!!!

Are you tired of scrolling through wedding websites full of photos of shoes/calligraphy/earrings/etc. and wondering where the people are? Do you love moments more than things? If yes, you're in the right place. Forget about the table settings, instead embrace spontaneous joy and honest, natural moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
Darcy was a pleasure to work with! She was so accommodating and informative throughout the process. I did a lot of our wedding planning at the last minute and I have never had professional photos done so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect but Darcy walked me through the wedding day and made sure that we had a clear plan. She was also very patient with all of my last minute changes to the schedule. I originally reached out to Darcy because I loved the style of her photos and I was incredibly pleased when I saw our photos. I would definitely reach out to her for future events/family photos!

Hi, its Jessica, I am a couples and wedding photographer based in Virginia. My clients are so special that they find themselves a friend for a lifetime, not just another wedding vendor. I take time to know you! I love learning about your love story, the proposal, etc. I am hopeless romantic, so I will probably shed a tear at every wedding I attend or photograph.

Awarded Best of Zola
She’s the best! We are so grateful Jessica captured our wedding day (and our amazing pre-wedding photos too)! From the start, she was kind, professional, and really listened to what was important to us. On the day, she made us feel so comfortable, more like a supportive friend than just a vendor. Her eye for detail and emotion is incredible. Every moment, big and small, was captured beautifully and authentically, bringing us right back to how we felt. If you’re looking for a talented photographer who truly cares about her clients, we couldn’t recommend Jessica enough. Thank you for giving us memories we’ll treasure forever!

My passion for photography grew when my daughter, Lotus, was born in 2004 and I began documenting her childhood with an eye toward catching each irreplaceable moment. Soon, friends and then friends of friends asked me to photograph their children and families. Before long, I was documenting the lives and milestones of people all over the DMV area. I realized how happy I was connecting with people and capturing special moments, and so I launched Lotus Photography in 2012 - named for my first muse. I captured my first wedding in 2016 and I was instantly in love with being a wedding photographer!

Awarded Best of Zola
Lotus Photography was the perfect choice for our wedding photography. From the very beginning, Georgette showed a true empathy for our vision and provided thoughtful feedback to help us feel confident in our decisions. She was incredibly approachable and adaptable, always available for quick chats, texts, and emails. On our wedding day, Georgette was with us from start to finish, ensuring she captured every guest and all of our most intimate moments as a couple. The final photos are absolutely stunning - professional, artistic, timeless, and so authentically us. It's like reliving our special day every time we look through them, and we can't wait to have our favorites printed to hang up all over the house! If you're looking for a photographer who is full of life, energetic, and so much fun to be around, Lotus Photography is the perfect choice.

Hi! I'm Nina and I run Ivy & Quartz photography! I shot my first wedding in 2013, but my journey with photography began long before that. When I was about 10 years old, my dad gave me a camera and I quickly became obsessed. My intrigue continued to grow over the years and I went on to earn my BA in Studio Art , Photography, from the University of Virginia. After graduating I worked as a portrait photographer and decided to pursue and earn my MFA in Imaging Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Awarded Best of Zola
We couldn’t recommend Nina more! All of the photos she took for our August 2025 wedding were absolutely stunning! She was so easy to work with, made us two camera-shy people comfortable throughout everything, and went above and beyond (including visiting our venue which she hadn’t shot at before beforehand to scope out her shots). Thanks again Nina!

Natasha Lamalle Photography
Rating: 5.0 (29 reviews)
·Ratings include Zola and Google reviews
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Serves Laytonsville, MD

The best way to tell honest stories is through keen observation. How do I know? Because I spent 15 years as a journalist before becoming a wedding photographer. By paying attention to the ways you interact with your loved ones, I capture the in-between moments that will, one day, be significant. And using a trained eye and subtle approach, I do so unobtrusively.

Awarded Best of Zola
Natasha was the first vendor we hired after choosing our venue. She is astonishing. She seamlessly blends into the crowd to take photos that capture the essence of your wedding and always manages to find the perfect picture that will make you cry, laugh, and then cry again. She has a remarkable eye. If you want to get away from stilted formal shots and remember and celebrate the actual day of your wedding, work with Natasha. She makes the entire wedding process a joy, from the initial meeting with her to the date night she set up for you to view your photos. She also does "slice of life" engagement shoots which can be a fun and casual date night that she captures with her incredible camera. Everyone has been blown away by the quality of the pictures. There is a reason that she is a top world wedding photographer. I trust Natasha completely. If you are not interested in classic boring posed photos, you can do no better than to hire Natasha Lamalle immediately. She is a true artist with a camera. You will fall in love over and over again through her photos.

Cesario Mendez Photography
Rating: 5.0 (27 reviews)

When I am not behind the camera or editing photos, I enjoy short Uber rides to bottomless brunch on the weekends; right now mimosas and I kinda have a thing going on! I have a special relationship with bourbon and FIRMLY believe in putting food on the grill during late afternoons should be the norm. I am blessed to be married to the happiest person on earth (I am so serious), who just happens to double as my favorite person. She keeps me grounded and never fails to remind me how great she is.

Awarded Best of Zola
It was great to work with Cesar. From the moment we had our introductory call with him, we were drawn in by his authenticity, humor and laid back energy. We knew he was a good fit for a day that we wanted to keep positive, low-stress, and focused. When it came time for him to give instructions for couple and family shoots, he was confident and cool. In fact, many of our guests went out of their way to share how impressed they were with Cesar. He did a great job capturing our daytime wedding despite the quick change from cloudy and rainy to a bright springtime sun. He struck the perfect balance of positioning himself well to get great shots without being conspicuous or obtrusive. I plan to hire Cesar for other events in the future and recommend that my friends do the same.

When we started our search for photographers, we knew we wanted to work with someone we "clicked" with because that would translate to us being comfortable in front of the camera. I remember the first call with Demetric and just feeling such a sense of ease compared to other photographers we had spoken with, which continued into our first meeting in DC. His flexibility and advice through our planning process was so helpful too.

On our wedding day, Demetric made us and our guests feel so comfortable -- this is such a gift to any couple on a day that is fueled by all of the emotions. Demetric's thoughtfulness, guidance, and joy were so special to have as a part of this day. And while we got to experience someone with such a relaxed demeanor, we know his focus is always on the details of the compositions and capturing unique images in his beautiful style. Demetric's work is incredibly dynamic and his photos are so rich -- we are counting down the days to see more photos from our wedding day!

All in all, if you want someone who is going to roll with the punches, give you awesome ideas, and make you feel at ease, Demetric and his United Photography team are the way to go!

My name is Casey, I'm a 30-something year old photographer from Northern Virginia who shoots on a combination of digital and film! With me, you'll receive true-to-color-but-better photos that are a combination of both candid and posed moments. While I am newer to wedding photography, I'm not new to capturing moments of joy, love, and tenderness between couples and their loved ones. When I'm not taking photos, you'll find me cuddled up at home with my wife and our two cats, going on ridiculously long walks, or watering my many houseplants.

Casey is so lovely to work with! Neither of us are the most comfortable taking photos, but she made it so we felt as if we were just being ourselves. The adjustments she makes are comfortable and clever, and I can’t wait to do another session with her!

Anji and Pete exceeded our expectations in every way! Having interviewed other wedding photographers for weeks, we immediately felt comfortable with them. We worked with them for our engagement photoshoot, followed by our week-long Indian wedding. We told them the general look we wanted for our engagement shoot and they were able to find a location close to us. For our wedding week, they both made sure that they understood our vision for each event and knew exactly what we wanted to capture. It was most important to us that our photos looked natural and not too staged/posed. And we're so glad that we came across them because that is exactly their style. During our wedding week, they both felt more like an extension to our family/bridal party. We are very happy with all of our photos: formal portraits as well as candid shots with family and friends. 10/10 would recommend them!

With over ten years of experience, Precious Pics is proud to have made many brides’ days easier to remember by producing beautiful wedding photos and films. We are professionals at everything that we do and stay connected with couples before and after the Big Day. We help with your timelines, design packages specifically for your personal needs, and never surprise you with fees or hidden expenses.

Precious Pics White Glove was a great choice for our wedding photography. I liked their communication style, they were responsive and kept us informed throughout the process. The quality of their work was just as I wanted, capturing all the special moments beautifully. They provided a detailed timeline to help keep us on schedule, which was really helpful. My only wish is that our wedding videos were a bit longer, as I think there was more footage they could have included. However, they explained this would affect the overall look, so I understand their decision. Overall, our experience with Precious Pics White Glove was very positive and I would recommend them to other couples.

Taking photos since 2016, I lives to document the stories of every lovely human I get to meet. My ideal clients are laugh-loving, sun-chasing, care-freers (bonus points if you're a foodie too). I love the Washington D.C. and Richmond area, but I'll go wherever your story begins.

She creates a space where couples feel like themselves, guests feel celebrated, and, honestly, where I can just breathe because I know everything is being captured perfectly. It’s rare to find someone who blends professionalism with genuine warmth and creativity, but Chayil does it every single time. She’s more than a vendor to me. Lindsay and I go way back; 4th grade to be exact. I was the new girl in a new school - and so was she! We bonded over this shared experience and became friends. Fast forward to 2019. Lindsay and I had lost touch because we’d both moved around quite a bit, but we stayed in touch through social media. And how serendipitous that turned out to be! Both Lindsay and I ended up in Virginia, only a few miles from one another. She started her photography business, Lindsay King Photography, with her husband, Greg, in Arlington and it just so happened that my sister was looking for a wedding photographer who would travel outside the country. I messaged Lindsay, asking if it was something she’d be interested in. She enthusiastically accepted. My sister was absolutely thrilled with her wedding photos, so much so that when it was my turn to choose, I knew exactly who to pick. Lindsay and Greg were fantastic to work with. They came with my soon-to-be husband and me to the lighthouse where we held our intimate wedding ceremony. Later that evening, they took photos of our beach reception. The photos they took were amazing and they made it a day I will never forget. They truly made this experience so easy and enjoyable and I’ll treasure the memories through their photos forever.

Her work is incredible, she's always super patient, helps with every pose... gives tips on what to do as it's very common for us to be shy in front of the camera. Greetings, I am Tigran Markaryan, accompanied by my wife, Evgeniya. As an Armenian immigrant who relocated to the United States nearly two decades ago, I have dedicated myself to the art of wedding photography since 2011, having beautifully documented over 300 celebrations. Recently, I bid farewell to Calypso Digital and embraced a fresh chapter with Daydream Romance. My passion lies in the photojournalistic approach, as I find immense joy in capturing the essence and energy of people. As I explore more destination weddings, I still mainly work in the DMV area. Stop by at out Insta and reach out with any questions ❤

We worked with Tigran for our wedding in June 2021 and had a great experience. He was friendly, very responsive, flexible, had a good eye for photo opportunities, and expertly wrangled family and friends for pictures. It was a really easy and smooth experience overall and we were so grateful for his expertise! We love how the photos turned out.
