We are a small studio dedicated to reliably capturing those moments that matter most. We're big believers that everyone deserves capture they'd enjoy for a lifetime. So whether photo, video, or both we always give the kind of capture only a team can give.

Awarded Best of Zola
We went with scarlet oak because it was recommended by our wedding planner and we are so thrilled we did! We had an initial consult call before booking them and knew that we were aligned. They were so attentive and thoughtful with us leading up to the events. They brought such amazing energy to our welcome party and wedding - our guests are still commenting on how much they were hyping everyone up! We wanted our photos to reflect the celebration, joy, and excitement of the day, and this is exactly what we got! Not to mention the videos!! We have watched our highlight video every day since we got it - it perfectly captures the emotions and love and our favorite moments from the day!

Ali Cushing Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,500
  • Serves Junction, UT

My name is Ali Cushing, a NY-based/working anywhere, visual storyteller who captures the authentic experience with intention. It's feeling, and it's found in the whirlwind and the still moments, in heightened emotion and calm, and above all, celebrating what makes you and your partner exactly who you are with the people you choose to surround yourself with. In my work composition serves to frame the feeling, with permission to be raw, outrageous, reserved, and unabashedly yourself. I make photos about the day and not the day about the photos. All couples of all genders, ethnicities, ages, faiths, shapes and abilities, are more than welcome.

Awarded Best of Zola
We had the most amazing time working with Ali! We had kind of a long engagement and we initially started working with Ali over a year and a half before our wedding to get our engagement photos done. Not only were the photos beautiful, but Ali made us feel super comfortable and at ease throughout our session. Leading up to our wedding day, Ali was amazing at coordinating the day of timeline with our coordinator and making sure that all the elements that were important to us were included so that we had enough time to capture the moments. One of my favorite things about working with Ali is her calm presence. Every time I was stressed about something in the planning process about the timeline I would talk to Ali and she would immediately make me feel at ease. She was constantly reminding me that the most important thing on my wedding day was to be present with our friends and family (and as a type A bride this was a much-needed reminder!) Ali also came to take photos at our rehearsal dinner and welcome party which was great because she got to know our families and our family dynamics before our big day which was a huge help! On the wedding day Ali and the second shooter Scottie were rockstars! They went above and beyond at every opportunity from helping the boys tie a bow tie, climbing out on my fire escape to get a crazy photo that I had in mind, moving locations at last minute, dealing with rain, helping bustle my dress, and of course capturing all the beauty of our perfect day. I will not hesitate to work with Ali and her team again! She’s amazing, a true professional, and I hope we have the chance to have her capture our big milestones in the years to come.

Cory Antiel Studios

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Junction, UT

I've been shooting weddings for almost 10 years. I often work with adventurous couples who look beyond what most of the wedding industry is selling and wanna start their own traditions. I've worked in huge east-coast ballrooms, on Mexican beaches, and at the edges of Moab cliffs. And I'll happily travel to wherever you're doing your own damn thing on your wedding day. I focus on capturing your favorite people in the world and giving you images that pull you right back into the feeling of the day. My style is natural, candid, and joyful, with some sassy editorial portraits and a whole lotta crazy dance floor shots.

Awarded Best of Zola
We were looking for a wedding photographer who would be able to capture the most special moments of our day and who would create wedding photos that were also art, and WOW did Cory deliver! He was so helpful both leading up to our wedding day and on the day itself - we gave him a tight timeline the day of and he handled it so professionally and still made every moment so fun and stress free. He was honestly such a fun guest to have at the wedding, everyone was talking about how much they loved our photographer! And the photos were just perfect. They captured the love and the fun of the day so beautifully. The photos were unique compared to other photographers but also timeless - we had an incredibly difficult time picking our favorites! We truly could not recommend Cory highly enough!

Caden Taylor Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,200
  • Serves Junction, UT

Hello, I'm Caden Taylor! A traveling wedding photographer based out of Salt Lake City. My passion for travel and for capturing weddings is built into the ways we connect and celebrate life’s biggest moments with those we love most. I live to serve others, and especially through my photography to bring a wedding back to life when reliving each moment through every photo.

Awarded Best of Zola
Caden was amazing!!! Truly made our day a dream and looking on these pictures takes us right back to how sweet it felt that day. Some of our favorite parts about working with Caden: - He really is SO kind and SO willing to do whatever you ask for as if it's no big deal, but IT IS. :) - He did not give us a hard picture limit!! Pictures are huge for us and we did not want to miss some photos, and he told us he would take a bunch and give us everything. So generous, and totally not my experience with other photographers. - We asked that Caden not be too obvious or distracting during the ceremony. He was so diligent in this, we did not even notice him! And the ceremony pictures are absolutely beautiful. These are just a few things that we loved about working with Caden but the list goes on. Thank you, Caden, for capturing our special day! We recommend him to anyone looking for a kind and willing person and gorgeous photos.

Big fan of dive bars, staring at the stars, forever searching for the best french fries, a blissfully cold Diet Coke, and a true midwestern why fly it's only 15 hours. You'll find me often traveling, spending time in nature, collecting rocks and shopping for vintage t-shirts. I love carefree messy in between moments, photographing my daily life on polaroids and film. I've lived a lot of places (Arizona, Arkansas, and Puerto Rico to name a few!) and have so many places that I treasure and feel at home.

Awarded Best of Zola
We booked Jessica Max for our garden wedding in May, and are OBSESSED with the photos! She is so talented at capturing the most intimate and candid moments without us even knowing that she is there. We added film photos onto our package and absolutely loved how they turned out. Jessica also captured polaroid pictures throughout the wedding that we got to look at the next day, which was so much fun. It's so hard for us to pick our favorite pictures to get framed, we love them all! Jessica is a true pro and an absolute pleasure to work with. We got a sneak peak of our wedding photos a few days after the event and received the full gallery within the expected timeframe. We absolutely loved working with Jessica Max and would highly recommend her to any couple planning their wedding!

I was born and raised in the Philippines but now call Northern California my home. The Narrative Weddings (Photo + Video)

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $6,000
  • Serves Junction, UT

I'm Jarrod. I'm a wedding photographer based in the US. Originally from Florida and now traveling full-time in a Sprinter van shooting love stories. I like to describe my approach to wedding photography as documentary with an editorial flare. About 80% of the day I am capturing your day as it naturally unfolds in a beautiful way. The other 20% I love to prompt you or direct you to create romantic images that have intention and FEELING. Sometimes portraits will feel romantic and editorial and other times they will feel playful and fun. It fully depends on your personal relationship. I love to tell your story as authentically as I can.

Awarded Best of Zola
People often debate what's most important for a wedding: is it the venue, the food, the flowers... ?  It's the memories, and putting them in the hands of artists who can show you the heart and soul and feel of every moment - moments you can't plan for, you can never adequately take in, and many you would simply miss. Jarrod and Taylor are certainly technically gifted photographers and videographers, but more importantly they are artists whose true love is capturing yours.  The name says it all: The Narrative. My bride Ali and I will be forever grateful that we found and convinced them to tell our story.  I could imagine a thousands different weddings, but none without them by our side. Thank you, Jarrod and Taylor, you beautiful humans, for your truly awesome and unbelievable care, vision, and talents.  You've given us more than we could have ever imagined or even hoped for, through your perfect lens. With love and a lifetime of gratitude, Mike & Ali

Hey there! I'm Eric, an outdoor-loving, laid-back wedding photographer based in the Midwest who lives for capturing those real, unfiltered moments that make each love story unique. When I'm not behind the camera, you'll probably find me hiking trails or discovering new local breweries. The best photos happen when couples feel completely at ease and free to be themselves.

Quinn and I were blown away by our photos. The entire experience felt effortless, like hanging out with a friend. Eric is incredibly laid-back and easygoing, which made the session so enjoyable. If you’re camera-shy or nervous about having your photo taken, I can’t recommend Eric enough. You won’t regret it.

I’m Kirstin! An emotionally driven, film-forward wedding photographer based in the desert Southwest. My work blends digital + 35mm film to preserve the honest, unposed, heart-full moments in all their textured, tear-filled, windswept beauty. My couples tend to be nostalgic, a little nontraditional, and full of feeling. If that’s you- you’re in the right place.

I've been pushing off this review because I just can't find a way to put into words how AMAZING Rob & Lyndi were. Not only were they just all around good people and a pleasure to work with, but they were able to capture some of the best moments of our wedding...SO tough to pick our favorites! I came across Sugar Rush Photo + Video while scrolling through a million different wedding photographer websites and I was sold on their casual/super approachable tone and the great candid shots they featured. My husband and I typically shy away from the camera, but loved the idea of being able to see our guests at their best when they weren't looking. Rob & Lyndi were super responsive the entire time (note: we brought them on with a little over a year to go) and made the whole process easy for us. A lot of people wondered why we were flying our photographers in from Utah, but after the wedding and after looking at the photos, it became clear to everyone. They flew into SF for our outdoor October wedding weekend and it was like we were meeting long lost friends even though we had only exchanged emails. They rocked it at our welcome pig roast and it felt like they were part of the family. That Saturday, they split getting ready duties between two locations, got us ready for a first look in the park before our outdoor ceremony and made each of us look waaaayy better/way more glamorous than we'd ever looked before and captured some great moments with our family. For our formals, we set loose on the city and Lyndi captured what a coworker called the best wedding picture ever in front of the Painted Ladies in Alamo Square Park. We squeezed in a second location before heading into our reception just for fun! We kinda felt like fancy fashion models as we looked through our gallery. The reception was a blast and our guests kept pulling us aside saying how it felt like our photographers were just an extension of our friends and family and that they were just so fun to be around. Rob & Lyndi have such amazing energy and it oozes onto everyone they interact with. I highly recommend them for weddings, engagements (wish we had done that!) and anything else...especially if you're not that comfortable in front of the camera! They make you feel so at ease and like you're laughing with your most inappropriate and hilarious friends. LOVE LOVE LOVE them!

You can trust me with your wedding day dreams & will give you my all in planning out every little detail for your elopement.

Malachi was phenomenal. Choosing him for our adventure elopement/micro wedding ended up being far more meaningful than simply hiring a photographer (though he’s an extraordinarily gifted one). At first, his photos drew us in (especially his breathtaking night sky star shots, one of his specialties). But what sealed the deal was his professionalism, warmth, kindness, and overall expertise. It was immediately clear that working with him would ensure the wedding experience we had always dreamed of. His photos are nothing short of spectacular. We honestly doubted ours could live up to the stunning examples he shared, yet somehow he managed to make ours even more incredible. From starry night portraits to vast landscapes, intimate candid moments, and detailed close-ups, he’s a true master of his art. In every environment he has a creative vision, and following it allows him to capture moments that feel both authentic and magical. And even in rugged locations, he ensures you feel safe. From our first Zoom chat to planning meetings and emails along the way, his communication was consistently clear, timely, and helpful. His website, client portal, and custom PDF guides are beautifully designed and immensely useful. Despite a packed travel calendar, he always made time for quick calls when we needed to go over plans or ask questions. He strikes the perfect balance, offering direction when you want it but also stepping back to let you take the lead when you prefer. A big part of what makes his process so seamless is how intentional it is. We filled out several fun and thoughtful questionnaires that helped all of us clarify the intended vision for our day. Afterward, he sent a personalized location list tailored to our preferences. From this, we selected the perfect ceremony spot and a few additional photo locations. One of Malachi’s greatest strengths is his deep familiarity with the outdoors and his ability to uncover incredible, lesser-known locations for ceremonies and portraits. He’s constantly exploring and expanding his list of amazing spots so that every couple can craft a day that’s uniquely theirs. In our case, we wanted to visit several different landscapes over multiple days, including places accessible for our grandparents while still feeling remote and private, and Malachi made it all happen seamlessly. Above all though, his most valuable quality is simply who he is. Malachi is kind, easygoing, thoughtful, and genuinely fun to spend time with. For an elopement or intimate gathering, that matters so much. From the moment we met up with him in Utah, it felt like a friend had joined us, not just someone we’d hired. Traveling between photo spots and having him at our family dinner felt natural and fun. By the end of the day, every family member had connected with him. He’s a rare and wonderful person. One especially moving example was that during a short break between our morning and afternoon activities, he managed to fully edit and create a stunning preview slideshow/album of our photos from that day, which he surprised us with during pre-dinner happy hour. It brought us to tears and was such a great way to start the evening. In short: we recommend Malachi wholeheartedly and without any reservations. Whether you’re planning an adventure elopement, a micro wedding, or something entirely unique, he’ll make it happen and will surpass your every expectation. Working with him was an absolute joy. He’s truly one of a kind.

Abigail photographed my Halloween themed wedding in 2021 and absolutely knocked it out of the park. The photos were beautiful, working with her was so easy, and the turn around time on the pictures was incredible. My husband and I get constant positive comments on the photos and we will treasure the captured memories for years
