We are a small studio dedicated to reliably capturing those moments that matter most. We're big believers that everyone deserves capture they'd enjoy for a lifetime. So whether photo, video, or both we always give the kind of capture only a team can give.

We have shot destination weddings, backyard weddings, elopements and everything in between. Because we’re a studio we can hold the quality bar high, afford top shelf tools, do everything from editing to printing in house while keeping the price fair for you. Scarlet Oak Studio could not have been better to work with. They came recommended by our venue (Log Haven) and almost seemed too good to be true. Our photography and videography package was the same cost as just photography elsewhere and included multiple shooters and lighting. Linsey was our lead shooter and I truly can’t say enough good things about her and the rest of the team! Linsey is so full of joy and kept things fun and light but also on track. She called us prior to the wedding day so we could walk through all of our shots and make a detailed schedule. We had some concerns on timing and Linsey worked out a “fake send off” to capture the photos without stopping the party or having to add another hour to our package. Pictures can be tough for both me and my now husband so I was worried the photos would feel uncomfortable on the actual day but that could not have been further from the truth! The entire team was so kind and thoughtful, they captured every moment without feeling intrusive. They gave helpful direction without making things feel too posed or staged and gave us space during a private vows reading while still capturing the love in that moment. I wanted photos that felt true to the spirit of the day and I definitely think the joy radiates through each picture. I have had multiple friends message me specifically about how great the photos turned out - and I know you might be thinking everyone says that to the bride, but I’m talking about photos taken of my friends that they’re loving! So if Scarlet Oak Studio seems to be too good to be true don’t question it, just book it! :)

We had Scarlet Oak do our wedding video, and it turned out amazing! We absolutely love it. Really top quality work, and the team was great day of, capturing the moments without us hardly noticing they were there! Leading up to the wedding was a bit difficult to coordinate - they run everything through a series of Google-form type surveys, but we had some specific preferences that didn’t fit quite right in the survey. We would call to communicate these things, but it seemed they mostly would remember the survey as opposed to separately coordinated customization. They are also more expensive than others we looked at, probably to be expected given the quality of the service. Overall, if you are looking for a high quality video you will love and don’t require much customization, and you’re not worried about the cost, I would recommend 1000%. If you are more price sensitive or looking for something less standard, you may prefer another provider.

We are so incredibly happy we went with Scarlet Oak! They are so incredibly kind and really know how to capture the day :) They worked with any of our requests leading up to the big day and were wonderful at capturing all of the moments we wanted during the event :) Would highly recommend them!
