We have two venues: *The Island -- Lake Cuyamaca has a scenic, natural site suitable for small outdoor weddings. Venue is rented for 6 daylight hours. Tables & chairs are not included.  *Ole Firehouse -- The Firehouse is a newly renovated former fire station with a 40' x 60' event room, the perfect space for both weddings and receptions. Amenities include: the venue room, a full kitchen, two restrooms, an outdoor patio area, a large, shaded deck, and an upstairs bridal dressing room/loft space. It has a 80-person indoor capacity with the Firehouse bay doors closed & a 100-person capacity when they are open. We'd love to give you a tour of our unique locations & are committed to doing all we can to help you make this a memorable day!

We had our wedding at The Ole Firehouse at Lake Cuyamaca, and it was truly everything we hoped for and more. If you're looking for a rustic, intimate venue with beautiful nature vibes, this place is hard to beat. The lake views created such a peaceful and scenic backdrop—our guests are still talking about it. One of the best parts of booking this venue was having the space for the entire weekend. We had Friday to set everything up, celebrated on Saturday, and then had Sunday to tear down without feeling rushed at all. That alone made the whole experience so much less stressful. Kelly, the venue coordinator, was amazing to work with. She communicated clearly throughout the process and made sure everything ran smoothly on the big day. Having someone reliable and organized like her made a huge difference—we were actually able to relax and enjoy our wedding. Another huge bonus was being able to rent the lakefront cabins for our stay. It made the whole weekend feel even more special and gave us extra time with our family and friends in such a beautiful setting. We genuinely had no issues from start to finish. If you're considering this venue, I highly recommend it—it’s the perfect mix of scenic, relaxed, and well-coordinated.

Oakwood Creek was built in the 1930s by WW Wood and his wife Leanora. Wood drove a truck that hauled dairy milk from the outlying ranches into the town of Julian. Later on, Wood would operate B&L Liquor on the main street. The remains of W's garage are still very apparent on the property today, along with his goat shed & stables. We have one of the last intact water towers in the historic district. The property has been preserved to reflect the period in which it was built. This beautiful venue sits atop a picturesque knoll overlooking the historic town of Julian. Sherry Horton, owner of Oakwood Creek Celebrations, offers signature style that everyone—no matter their affair—will find "oh so easy". Growing up in rural Ohio, Sherry brings the style of country that is reminiscent of simpler gracious time, learning from her grandmother Emma Barrett of all things romantically beautiful. The Oakwood Creek Celebrations staff were a joy to work with! I am so grateful that the staff customized a great package for our wedding day, with very short notice. Our Officiant Rev Hannah Wilder, performed a beautiful ceremony by the koi pond. The location is gorgeous, and the staff made us feel as if we were family. Every detail of our wedding was beautifully done, making the entire experience amazing and completely stress free. A million thanks to our wedding coordinator Sherry, who went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed and even took photos for us, since we didn't have a photographer. Our wedding was better than anything I dreamed of!

I’m Elisa Joy, behavior therapist by day, mobile bar owner by night (and weekends!). Alongside my husband Brian and our two little, we live in the mountain town of Julian, CA. When the world slowed down during COVID, my profession shifted and I had to pivot. We started dreaming. One trailer, a Pinterest scroll, and a whole lotta heart later, The Toasty Tap was born. ​ What started as a fun idea to turn a project trailer into something special quickly turned into a full-blown passion project. Late-night doodles turned into design plans, and with every bolt and brushstroke, our bar and photo booth came to life.

But Toasty Tap was a fantastic addition to our wedding. Our guests loved having custom drinks and a fun place to go to get beer and wine. The Photo Booth on the other side of it was like beyond great. Not only did I love it, but all of my family and friends were able to keep a piece of memory of our special day. Working with the Toasty Tap was seamless, enjoyable, very professional, and very fun!

Let me start off by saying, I was a girl who never cared to get married, until I found Sacred Mountain Julian. I knew immediately from their photos, I needed to book my wedding there. Right when they announced their 2023 reservations were open, I immediately booked a walk through and basically booked my fall wedding. First off, the Sunset Plateau is so amazing and breathtaking to say your vows. I specifically told my photographer that I wanted to take as many photos possible on the property. Every area offers photos ops of your liking. The team there is amazing to work with. I recommend visiting the property to see the beauty for yourself.

He uses an app that was easy to use and helped us curate our music preferences during our ceremony and into the reception. The app allows you to create a timeline of events and add specific songs so that everything goes smoothly throughout the event. We got so many compliments during the reception on the song choices. I can't put into words how happy we are with Dakotah and the work he did on our wedding. Due to unforeseen circumstances, our original videographer fell through. We found Dakotah and loved everything we saw in his portfolio. We reached out and we were immediately struck by his professionalism. We knew we had found our guy. On the day of the wedding, he arrived on time and immediately began getting B-roll of the venue. He did work with my groomsmen and I as well as my wife and her bridesmaids. Madison is soooo talented!! We first worked with Madison for our engagement shoot. It was our first time doing a professional photoshoot and she was able to make us feel comfortable and calm during the shoot. She shot our engagement shoot on film and it was beautiful. We loved working with Madison so much that we wanted her for our traditional tea ceremony and our wedding day. During our tea ceremony she was familiar with the culture and she offered to help when things were hectic. She was super professional and I loved how the photos turned out! Madison also did our wedding day and from the beginning she was on time, very professional, and kind. I gave her my Pinterest inspiration board and she was fully able to execute all my inspirations and more! During my wedding she was able to keep us on track of time and communicate to everyone. We hired Rick for DJ services and Photobooth for our September 2024 Wedding. They absolutely KILLED IT!!! The night was flawless and I can confidently say that is heavily due to exquisite DJ-ing by Rick. 10/10 recommend. Book with him and you simply wont have to worry about anything relating to the music/entertainment. Dance floor was rocking all night. All ages, all hours. Photo Booth was a huge hit, so many fun props to choose from!

Wedgewood Weddings provided catering services through Abbey Catering & Events for our December wedding in La Jolla, CA. We contacted the Abbey well ahead of time to receive a proposal for comparison with other catering groups. One of the reasons we leaned toward the Abbey is due to our initial conversations with Will Konecki. He was so enjoyable to speak with, and he helped hash out the initial details for our event. He provided us relevant documentation for menus, event rentals, and details on the included floral package. Will also made suggestions for cost-effective solutions to achieve the event atmosphere we wanted to provide for our guests. Will’s event experience allowed him to answer all of our questions, and he was very responsive via phone and email. We attended one of Abbey Catering’s tasting events where we met Will and other staff in person to taste the different appetizers and entrees. Some memorable favorites were the mini beef wellingtons, the feta-stuffed dates with bacon, and the sesame-soy glazed salmon. We were stuffed with all the food we tried, and we got to see some options for how the guest tables can be decorated. This is also where we met our assigned event manager. Our assigned event manager was Petr Trebin. As our event date got closer, Petr was very communicative of upcoming deadlines and requirements. Petr was extremely fun to work with. He shared excitement in all his communications with us and made sure we were taken care of well before the event. Petr was onsite throughout the duration of our event and went above and beyond in taking care of us. For example, he set aside a plate of all our appetizers and signature drinks inside the bridal suite room so we could eat our appetizers and drink our beverages in private without having to wait in line. Furthermore, he checked in on us throughout the event to make sure everything was going well and we didn’t have any questions or requests. Before the evening ended, Petr noticed that we barely got to touch our entrees due to being occupied with our guests so Petr packed two meals for us to take home as well as bites from our dessert bar. Petr was a pleasure to work with, and he made the experience wonderful from start to finish. Post-wedding, he shared with us all the photos and videos he took during the event which was a nice gesture. We highly recommend Abbey Catering for catering services for your wedding or any other event!

Where do we even begin? Before hiring Clémence, we met over a video call, getting to know each other to make sure we worked well together. We think this is an essential step in choosing any wedding planner, since ideas need to be communicated in both directions. Being on the same page about the vision of your wedding is key. It did not take long at all for us to know that she was the absolute best choice for us. Clémence is incredibly friendly and holds herself to such a high standard, and that shows in the work she does. She has an entire process for planning that includes timelines of when things are to be done, vendors are to be booked, and more. Everything is laid out clearly, and she checks in regularly to make sure things are on track. These timelines start from several months before the wedding and go all the way down to the day itself. She makes it known that she wants your day to be exactly how you want it and works hard to achieve that. Whenever we had a new idea or a modification to an existing one, she was always open to hearing it and working to make it happen. We went with an Italian garden-style theme for our wedding, and Clémence executed that vision perfectly. We somehow seemed to be on the same wavelength about everything. Not only did she follow through on executing our ideas, but she also incorporated her own input that fit into the wedding and expanded on it perfectly. As first-time bride and groom, we struggled with knowing how to budget properly. Clémence helped us spend in places where it made the most sense for us and save on things we didn't need. Bit of a random anecdote, but we wanted to have pizza at the end of our afterparty. Our initial search was going to have us spending hundreds of dollars to have standard pizzas delivered to our venue. Clémence saved the day when she found an even closer shop that made heart-shaped pizzas for a fraction of the cost. As Clémence has been doing this for a while now, she's gained rapport with several vendors and was able to speak to the quality of their work and service. This took so much pressure off of us, since we didn't merely have to trust the sales pitch of whatever vendors we happened to find on our own. Once we had our vendors locked in, Clémence took care of managing timelines for each, such as when to meet with them, choosing items for the wedding, and payment schedules. Not only does she work her hardest when she's by your side, she also has your back when you don't even notice. Nearly a month after the wedding, we found out that our venue's staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful to our vendors. This forced everyone to work at 110% to compensate for the lack of assistance. However, the way Clémence handled this was with such grace and professionalism that we didn't notice, nor did any of our guests, that things weren't running smoothly. Her integrity is truly inspiring. As cheesy as it may sound, we've gained a genuine lifelong friend in Clémence. The influence and quality of her work extend far beyond wedding planning. If it wasn't clear already, we cannot recommend Clémence enough. Her work speaks for itself and was by far the best investment we made for our wedding.
