If you told me photography was going to be my career 10 years ago, I wouldn’t have believed it. But, looking back, all the signs were there and just had not been fully realized. I have always been attracted to imagery, and was obsessed with fashion magazines growing up… so naturally when trying to figure out what the heck to do with my life, I chose an education in fashion. Kari Giordano is an award-winning art, design, and photography instructor who has worked in the arts for more than a decade. She earned her BFA from SUNY New Paltz and her Masters degree from Rhode Island School of Design. Giordano has created design and photography for clients throughout the Berkshires, where she lives, and the Hudson Valley, where she’s from. When I traveled to Australia in high school my mother sent me with five rolls of film, yes FILM! However, when I returned from my trip with 27 rolls of film I realized that photography was and is my passion.
