“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “If you're looking for a DJ who goes above and beyond, Mike is your guy. From start to finish, he was the definition of professional. Responsive, organized, and genuinely invested in making the day perfect. Communication was excellent throughout the entire planning process. Mike made sure to walk through the venue with us ahead of time so that every logistical detail was locked in well before the big day. He handled all the traditional wedding DJ responsibilities flawlessly, but he also embraced our more unique requests without hesitation. We asked him to play video game lo-fi music during cocktail hour and dinner, and he absolutely nailed it. We're also huge fans of metal and rock, and we were initially worried that might not translate well to a wedding dance floor. He was able to mix those songs in live and keep the energy high all night. “I rented the brown and white dance floor from DSM Dance Party DJs and the dance floor was absolutely beautiful and tied in all of my decor! I initially rented the 12x12 but then needed to make it larger at the very last minute because it looked so small with how our tables were set up, the DSM Dance Party team came back on the day of my wedding to increase it to 15 x 15 which made SUCH a big difference!!! Although, it was extremely inconvenient to come back to my venue and add paneling, they did it, and I could not be more appreciative because it looked absolutely perfect and was full all night long.”

My calves were more sore the day after the wedding than when I ran the Chicago Marathon a few weeks prior. That's how hard I was dancing all night. We had a bilingual wedding (Spanish/English) and the MC, Hector, was able to speak and instruct guests in both languages. SO AWESOME! They also played the perfect blend of songs in both languages. Many of our Spanish speaking guests had not seen a live band like this before and they loved it. Amy, the owner, was amazing with planning and giving suggestions for the setlist. We also hired the jazz duo for our rehearsal dinner. They added such a calming presence to that night. 10/10 all around. Thank you Yazz Events!”

“We always ranked the music as the number one priority for our wedding, and we’re so glad we entrusted David Rothstein Band to bring our party to life. Planning a wedding during Covid had many challenges, including not being able to see the band live, but thankfully, David has so many live videos available where we can see the entertainment his band delivers day in and day out. Those videos, along with David’s passion for his work, made us confident to chose his team to make our day special. For our wedding, we had a classical duo during the ceremony, a pianist during cocktail hour, a jazz trio during dinner, and an incomparable 10 piece orchestra to dance the night away. From the first note to the final encore, we were BLOWN AWAY with the talent and energy that the band brought. We had a few special requests for the night - from a unique arrangement for our ceremony processional to a mashup of New York songs during the reception - and David’s team was beyond accommodating. We had dancing for 3 hours straight and not once did anyone leave the floor - the band was able to feel the energy in the room and chose the right song for the moment. I stumbled across the ingoing setlist after the party and was actually surprised to see that the band didn’t even stick to the songs they had picked - a sign that they adjusted based on what the crowd was loving. It’s been nearly a month since the big day and people keep telling us how amazing the music was, and we can’t stop watching the many videos David took from the night, reliving the magic that his band created.
