We had the most perfect wedding day at the Herb Lyceum. When we got engaged we knew we wanted a smaller, more intimate wedding and struggled to find a venue that welcomed smaller events. I came across The Herb Lyceum on Instagram and knew that this was the space for us. We held our wedding in the sunken garden, cocktail hour on the lawn and dinner in the greenhouse. The space was magical. They have a beautiful bar and cocktail hour set up. The greenhouse was exactly how we envisioned our day to look like. We received several comments that our wedding had the best food and cocktails of any wedding guests had been to. We are so grateful to the Herb Lyceum team for making our day so special. Tavis was so helpful, responsive, organized and calm during the process, she made planning the event so easy. I couldn't recommend the Herb Lyceum enough, it really is a special place. We got married 9.13.15 at Sky Meadow. We booked the venue more than a year in advance (we just wanted to get it out of the way) and Lynn was amazing to work with during that entire time. She was super responsive, very professional, and all around joy to work with. And when it came to day of, our venue coordinator, Josh, was instrumental to making sure the day ran smoothly. He kept us on track and was very accommodating to all of our requests. The entire staff was amazing to work with and we can't have asked for better help during our wedding. And as for food, 10000/10, everyone was raving about it! We did the plated dinner and chose Prime Rib, Crab Stuffed Haddock, and the Risotto. As for appetizers we did sushi, antipasto display, meatballs, bacon wrapped scallops, lobster sliders, and beef wellington bites. Everyone said how there was so much food they were stuffed even before dinner. The food is definitely plentiful and your guests will be happy at the quality and amount. We did consumption bar as well and the line was never too long, they turned them out quickly (especially since they walked around with our signatures). They even include a cake of your choice (we chose Chickadee Hill Bakery - absolutely delicious) as part of your package which was really nice. We wholeheartedly believe this venue is the venue to have your wedding at!

We had the best experience with the Bedford Event Center. Everyone was so kind, professional, and most importantly, approachable. Communication was clear, costs were discussed upfront and were very reasonable. There were no surprise surcharges that we needed to worry about. They provided and set up linens, tables and chairs, and we could bring in pretty much any caterer/food we wanted. They have fun features like uplighting and the cloud over the ballroom. They worked with us to create a signature drink that was a hit. Not to mention, it’s gorgeous! They’ve done a great job creating a space that can be used for a variety of events. In short, working with the Bedford Event Center was a breeze and we couldn’t be happier. Thank you!

First Zola review! The short and sweet review of this venue is that it was perfect. If it’s details you’re looking for, then we have those for you too. Prior to getting engaged, we had discussed what our ideal wedding day would look like and had both agreed that a mountain-top ceremony was what we both envisioned. For the moment we turned into the Pat’s Peak parking lot and saw the beautifully maintained grounds, rustic ski-village inspired buildings, and cozy lodge we had a feeling we had found our wedding venue. The wedding team at Pat’s Peak was incredible to work with, helping us through every single step and answering every question we threw their way. A huge standout to us as a couple was how accommodating they were of our requests and the level of personal touches we were permitted to do which made our day extra special. While it is of course important to hear what the bride and groom thought of the venue, an aspect we’d like to add to this review is what our guests thought. It’s been two weeks exactly since our wedding at Pat’s Peak and we’re still receiving non-stop compliments from our guests on the venue we chose. We opted for the summit ceremony and we will remember that chairlift ride and view from the top as we got married for the rest of our lives. The weather was perfect for us (which we know is not always the case) but a BIG reason we picked Pat’s Peak is because we liked the weather back up options that were provided to us. Our guests RAVED about the chairlift ride to the top for the ceremony and the scenic ride down for the reception. Special call out here for the lift operators who went above and beyond to be friendly and genuinely excited for our big day. As the bride and groom, we loved the ability to set up lawn games like giant Jenga and cornhole on the deck that provided the perfect environment for guests to enjoy a cocktail, mingle, and connect during cocktail hour and the reception. We opted for a buffet style meal, which provided more than enough food for our guest count of around 100. Everything from the apps, buffet dinner, s’mores bar and ice cream sundae bar was absolutely delicious. To wrap this review up, we’d like to call out Pat’s Peak staff including Brigid and Mary Beth. These two (including our bartenders, and the rest of the amazing staff) worked tirelessly in perfect coordination with our vendors to make sure our day was completely perfect and ran smoothly. We cannot thank them enough for all their help and hard work. Prior to our wedding, we had no connection or tie to Pat’s Peak but now, it will forever hold a special place in our hearts. If you’re considering Pat’s Peak and looking for a quaint, rustic, and inexplicably cozy wedding venue, we’ve found it.

Choosing a venue is arguably the most important aspect of celebrating a wedding, and the Stevens Estate is absolutely spectacular. I wouldn't do a single thing differently when it comes to choosing a venue. From our very first tour of the Estate, we knew they were setting the bar both aesthetically and in terms of planning, and no other venue surpassed it! Amy and Helen were extremely helpful during the planning process, providing excellent forms and schedules that guided us through. Because Fireside Catering owns and caters at the venue, everything could be discussed and planned all at once, which was great for us as we were coordinating our wedding out of state. On the day of, Amy, Casey and other staff members were beyond kind and helpful. Everyone was extremely attentive to our needs and it really felt like a luxury experience. Everything was run smoothly and professionally. The fact that they take care of setup and cleanup meant that my husband and I could be excited about celebrating our marriage without thinking about logistics. There are all kinds of backdrops for photos - beautiful forest surrounding the building, gorgeous interiors of the Estate. The food was excellent! All our guests said they had a great time, and the dance floor was packed all night! We seriously could not have asked for a more magical day, and it is all thanks to Amy, Helen, and the team at the Stevens Estate. We are so grateful for all their hard work!

From our first conversation with Briana, we knew Granite Rose By Wedgewood Weddings was the right choice for us. She communicated clearly throughout the entire planning process and answered every question we had with confidence and knowledge. The venue itself is stunning with its beautiful chandeliers, floor to ceiling windows, and flexible indoor and outdoor spaces that gave us options if weather didn’t cooperate. Beyond the beautiful setting, Wedgewood's curated vendor network made a real difference—the cake, florals, DJ, and officiant all worked seamlessly together. All the details came together with guests commenting on every aspect of the night!Guests raved about the food and late night snacks. Briana made planning stress-free and handled details so well that we could actually enjoy the process. For the value and quality you get, this venue is truly priceless.

The Multicultural Arts Center
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
Cambridge, MA
  • Up to 150 guests

  • Starts at $5,600

This Victorian treasure was built in the late 1880s, and originally served as the county courthouse. It’s been lovingly restored, and boasts a two-story theater space with an exquisitely embellished ceiling and wraparound mezzanine balcony. In the warmer months, ceremonies may be held in Centanni Courtyard. This airy outdoor space continues the historic feel of the Arts Center with lawns, a large arbor, and brick pathways. Your rental fee helps support the Center’s mission: to educate the community about diversity through the presentation of multicultural arts programs, and to make the center available to artists and groups who may not otherwise have access to a professionally equipped space.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Natural elegance with open spaces
  • Bridal suite on site
  • Offers full flexibility in setup and decor

Venue considerations

  • On-site parking not available
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • No all-inclusive dining options

We held our wedding reception at the Multicultural Arts Center in Cambridge, and it was a beautiful venue to host our event. The space was a perfect size for our event with 125 guests, and the ceiling is a showstopper. The building is right on the small city park, Centanni Park, which is such a nice little green space in East Cambridge. The staff was friendly and easy to work with and helped us to create our dream reception. One thing to keep in mind when picking this venue is that you have to select from a list of preferred vendors for catering, and they will need to rent all of the plates, cutlery, glassware, catering supplies etc since the venue does not provide these items. Their list of caterers to choose from is a great list, but the extra cost of these rentals should be remembered when budgeting your event.

Our daughter just celebrated her wedding this past weekend at the Kimpton Marlowe, and I can't imagine a more perfect experience! We visited quite a few venues that we loved, but once we found KM and Rachel, we knew we had found our place. I'm not sure where to begin! The planning process was never stressful thanks to Rachel's patience, professionalism and organizational skills. Our daughter lives out of state, and I can only imagine the insane amount of emails that flew back and forth between her and Rachel! She kept us all calm, and we were always confident that the day would be perfect because of her extraordinary efforts. The venue itself has everything a bridal party could want. It's in an accessible location for out of state visitors to explore Boston and Cambridge. The staff are all warm, friendly and eager to help with anything. The price is very reasonable; we had ruled out Boston/Cambridge because of our budget, but KM turned out to be right on target. There is convenient parking on site. We were offered a block of rooms in the hotel for an amazingly good price, so that our guests didn't have to worry about driving after a big party! The food was exceptional, from appetizers to dinner and even late night snacks of pizza, cookies and milk! The reception room was gorgeous and is very easy to work with because of the neutral colors. I think one of our favorite parts was that we had the entire second floor of the hotel to ourselves! The ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and even a room for the bride to retreat when she needed to change was all included. The younger guests danced until the very end, and the "older" parents and guests found a quiet spot to hang out in the lobby area outside of the reception hall, filled with comfortable sofas, chairs and tables. All who attended were happy with the many choices to party, relax and mingle. In my opinion, KM and Rachel are a still a hidden gem in the greater Boston area. I hope this review helps to get the word out that they are the place to go if you are looking for an affordable option with fabulous spaces, delicious food and most of all, an event planner who puts her heart and soul into everything she does. Thank you, KM and Rachel! 3

Vanessa was so kind and open throughout our time engaging with this DIY venue. For around 3k, you have the entire venue from 8am Friday to 10pm Sunday, and can set it up to your hearts content. There is ceremony space both indoors and outdoors, space to put up a tent, and the great hall alone holds around 100 people seated, without crowding. Chairs and tables come included. The whole space was great for offering a variety of different spaces for our event: a room for eating and dancing, a room for the photobooth, a room for children's activities, a room for the memorial area, and a room for quiet relaxing--which my wedding party absolutely needed. I can't imagine having had a better experience at a more conventional full service venue--just make sure you have a team to help you with setup and shutdown and you're golden.
