With two opulent and classic ballrooms to choose from, depending on the size of your wedding, the Hotel Northampton can comfortably welcome up to 180 of your friends and family. The hotel has 106 rooms and offers two restaurants and bars for couples and their guests. Not only are there available settings for wedding ceremonies and receptions, but there are also perfect settings for other aspects of the wedding, including rehearsal dinners and farewell brunch. Couples can enjoy the venue for their bridal shower, elopement, reception, and engagement party as well.

Wiggins Tavern
Begin Your Forever Where History Lives.
The tavern itself traces back to an 18th-century structure originally built in 1786 by Benjamin Wiggins in Hopkinton, New Hampshire. In the early 20th century, Lewis Wiggins (descendant of Benjamin) had the tavern dismantled and meticulously reconstructed inside the Hotel Northampton. The original carved paneling, hand-hewn beams, and stone and brick hearths were carefully re-assembled to preserve the authentic feel of an early American tavern.

One of the BEST experience of my LIFE
Hands down, choosing the Hotel Northampton was one of the best decisions I made during wedding planning, besides saying yes to my husband! I had spent years mentally preparing for how difficult this process could be, but I cannot express how easy the team made it for us. In my professional life, I plan large-scale events. Even with my background, I was blown away and deeply grateful for the professionalism, flexibility, and expertise of everyone involved. Honestly, I don't know how Hotel Northampton makes any money off of weddings! They include so much, the food, drink, and cake to the dance floor, getting-ready rooms, and all the linens (including doubling up on the tables). On top of that, they handle the entire setup and breakdown for you. Their flexibility was unmatched. When I needed to add a full buffet to my welcome party just 1–2 weeks before, they made it happen. They also graciously worked with me on last-minute changes to my reception guest list. Speaking of food, they have some of the BEST food I have ever had! The quality, freshness, and flavors were so good. I honestly cannot wait to go back and eat there again. I am so thankful that they have a restaurant, because we can go back and enjoy their food every time we want to relive our wedding. The venue itself is naturally gorgeous, so all you really need to do is complement it. All of my guests had a blast, and I felt so little stress. Absolutely NOTHING went wrong on the wedding day, which is incredibly rare in this industry, and I attribute that entirely to Ruby and Lia. I’ve never heard of a venue or vendor team that makes everything so seamless. I had so many guests coming to me after saying it was the best wedding they had ever been to, including our pastor! So much of that was because of Hotel Northampton. Thank you so much to Ruby, Lia, and the rest of the Hotel Northampton crew. If I could get married 50 times over, I would choose them every single time. You will not regret booking with them, it was truly one of the best experiences of my life. The Hotel Northampton was a wonderful choice for our wedding venue. From the very beginning, the staff was incredibly comfortable and easygoing to work with. Our venue representative was quick to respond to any questions or requests we had throughout the whole planning process, which made everything feel so smooth and stress-free. On the day of, the staff set everything up beautifully and were very attentive and friendly to us and all of our guests. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we're so grateful to the team at The Hotel Northampton for helping make our special day absolutely perfect.

The Hotel Northampton was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. Their communication was responsive, thorough, and truly caring throughout the entire process. A Perfect NYE Wedding at Hotel Northampton
We had our wedding at the Hotel Northampton on New Year’s Eve (12/31/24), and it truly could not have been more unforgettable. From start to finish, the entire experience was absolutely flawless. My wife, our families, and all of our friends had an amazing time, and we are still hearing from guests about how beautiful and fun the night was. The hotel itself is elegant, timeless, and full of charm. It provided the perfect backdrop for a romantic winter wedding, and having everything under one roof made it incredibly convenient for us and our guests. A huge shoutout to the entire staff, who went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. In particular, Ruby Meng was outstanding—her professionalism, responsiveness, and genuine care made the planning process seamless and stress-free. She was a joy to work with and made us feel completely supported every step of the way. All of the recommended vendors were top-notch and worked together beautifully. The hotel’s attention to detail and coordination helped everything come together without a hitch. If you’re considering Hotel Northampton for your wedding or any special event, do not hesitate.
