While I was nervous going into it, they consistently put me at ease. On the big day, they did an absolutely stunning job for me, my bridesmaids, my mom, and my mother-in-law. “Ariana Strings played the ceremony at our wedding on August 2, 2025 at The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station in Haddam, CT. After meeting Ariana the winter before our wedding at a bridal showcase, she immediately played the song on her violin I wanted to walk down the aisle to. She brought not only myself, but a few of my bridesmaids I was with to tears. She was incredibly attentive to detail, communicated to us almost immediately after emailing her, and has such an amazing personality. The string trio for our ceremony sounded exactly how I pictured them to sound and we received many compliments! “When we were in the process of looking for photo/video vendors for our wedding, we knew we wanted a combined service, but we were having a hard time finding the right fit. Someone I was looking into did not have our date available, but they recommended Tree Films Creative. When I say this was the best thing that could've happened to us, I MEAN IT. Tree Films has been nothing short of amazing. I was amazed that they were even available for our date. From the very beginning, Ashley was so personable, she listened to what we wanted, she was knowledgeable, and so professional. “Our wedding at The Riverview was truly one of the most incredible experiences of our lives, and we honestly cannot stop reliving how perfect everything felt. From the moment we started planning to the very last song of the night, every detail was handled with so much care, professionalism, and genuine warmth. Kayla, our coordinator, was nothing short of amazing. She made the entire process feel easy and enjoyable, always one step ahead. Her calm, confident presence made such a difference, and we always felt like we were in the best hands. Brittany, the assistant coordinator, was equally wonderful and so attentive, kind, and supportive every step of the way. On our wedding day, not only did we have Kayla and Brittany, but we also had Cam and Tara, two more bridal attendants that were absolute lifesavers. They anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made sure we could truly be present and soak in every moment. I honestly don't think I turned around once without them handing me food or drink! The service was outstanding across the board. The waitstaff was incredibly professional, fast, and attentive, making all of our guests feel so well taken care of. And the food, wow! It was beyond delicious. We are still hearing from guests about how amazing every course was. It truly exceeded all expectations. Nicole and Will at the bar were fantastic, friendly, efficient, and so fun. They kept the drinks flowing and the energy high all night long, and our guests absolutely loved them. We have had so many people reach out to us since the wedding saying it was one of the best they have ever been to from the food, the service, the atmosphere, everything. That says it all. The Riverview and their entire team made our day feel effortless, beautiful, and unforgettable in every possible way. He took his time explaining how the day and night would be structured. After Hours provided a great and easy to use form that allowed us a lot of customization for the music we wanted to hear throughout the day. The photo booth team was also fantastic and did a wonderful job with guiding guests and putting together a beautiful scrapbook. Overall, going with After Hours was one of our best choices about the wedding - going with a team that knows what they are doing really took the pressure off of us so that we could just enjoy the day! “Rachel was amazing to work with and extremely talented. She spent so much time speaking with my husband and I about exactly what we wanted. We sent her inspiration photos and she really brought our vision to life - and then some! The arrangements were more beautiful than I could have imagined. The wedding that happened after our send off brunch wanted to take our arrangements for their wedding!! Others at the resort walked by and asked to take photos. Our florals were one of the most talked about features of our wedding by our guests and we owe it all to FlowerWorks! Rachel was early and quick with set up. “A few hours after my husband and I got engaged, I asked him, "What if we just had a super tiny wedding and got married in a week?" Cue a mad scramble to find an officiant, photographer, and venue. We had already spoken to one potential officiant who didn't ask us any questions or tell us what he was planning to do—not great—so when our photographer recommended Dave, we were thrilled he was available. When we met up over Zoom to talk, it was clear he's very smart and funny, and loves love without being mushy about it. He crafted a ceremony that was short and sweet, complete with a reading that was a great match for us. I loved that he sent us the full script with free rein to adjust it to our liking. I, an endless word-fusser, only made one small change. On the day, he was already laughing with our witnesses when we arrived, and it set the scene so beautifully for us to have a joyful, laid back ceremony. It was perfect. He's happy to provide ideas but really wants the ceremony to work for you as a couple. He'll talk about his outfit options for you to choose from. (We went with a navy suit but he has a rad hot pink one too if that fits your vision. I suspect he would gamely wear an Iron Man costume or KISS makeup if that were your dream.) That open thoughtfulness extends to whatever kind of ceremony you want—big or small, religious or secular, traditional or offbeat. Zero judgment, just a steady stream of smart questions, good ideas, and caring support. And he writes the best emails. I haven't laughed that hard or felt so sparklingly clever in writing in years.”

She was sooo personable, punctual and professional and friendly right from the very start. I knew we made the right decision from the beginning with her very fast response time. We chose to do month-of coordination for our wedding and Caroline met with us ahead of time to explain her role prior to us deciding to go with her. She ensured that our wedding rehearsal was organized and kept everyone on track, and that our wedding day was as smooth as possible, she took care of all the bumps, when we were running behind she was quick on her feet to move things around to keep us on schedule without feeling stressed. “Let me begin by saying I cant thank you enough for all your help. We had the biggest mess with our Tent company and the team at B_entertained was already our DJ and come to find out they are also a rental company as well. Apparently the original tent company overbooked and they were able to bring a tent, dance floor and all the tables and chairs as well as the linens and napkins. Then the DJ did an amazing job! He was funny and really knew what to play when since we had such a small request list! Everything amazing! Hire them now!”

“I had my wedding here and it was great. Melissa and Andrea were very helpful and responsive to all my questions. I liked that I was able to adjust what I wanted for my day of before the wedding day rather than being locked into what I had decided the day I signed the contract. They were very flexible and I would recommend them as a wedding venue to anyone. I would have preferred to have the venue for the whole day rather than the allotted time allowed but that doesn't reflect on Melissa and Andrea and how my wedding day went. The wedding was perfect, I would pick The Mountain Room over again.”

“Walking into the morning of your wedding day can be nerve wracking and very emotional. Everyone is running around getting ready; people are getting their hair and make up done others are steaming all our dresses. It can be very stressful. BUT with all the craziness going on around me the moment I sat in Sarah’s chair I felt calm and everything fell into place. She made sure that her and I had our own space that no one could interrupt. Anything I needed she made sure to tell someone to get it for me. I told Sarah I wanted my makeup to be very natural and light and she delivered tenfold. I didn’t feel like my face was caked with makeup all night, the foundation didn’t make my face feel heavy. I truly couldn’t have looked more beautiful. Unfortunately the morning of my wedding was very humid so that meant I was most likely going to change my hair style. Sarah and myself both planned for my hair to be down during our trial run, but Mother Nature had other plans. The moment I saw Sarah that morning she looked at me and went updo? I laughed and confirmed because she already knew what I was thinking before I said it. Instead of being annoyed or panicked I changed my hair style the last moment; she smiled and hugged me and insured me I would look beautiful no matter what my hair style was and everything would be okay. Sure enough everything was perfect (yes it really was perfect). I fell in love with my updo instantly! The amount of compliments I got on my hair and makeup the night of my wedding and weeks after says it all; to how phenomenal of an artist Sarah Mains truly is.
