Requests give valuable insight into what makes your celebration unique and what tracks will energize the dance floor. We always follow your preferences on guest requests and handle them thoughtfully to stay true to your vision. Our priority is a seamless, interruption-free experience for our couples'. You can also collect and screen requests in advance through our planning portal or use fun, controlled options like a “Request Hour” or curated request menu.

What is your travel and break down fee?

Travel fees within our service area are typically included in our pricing. In most cases, our rates cover travel, setup, planning, and breakdown. On rare occasions, additional charges may apply, but we always communicate that upfront—no surprises.

Yes—we operate as a fully insured LLC, and our coverage typically exceeds the minimum requirements set by most venues.

Do you provide music for wedding ceremonies or cocktail receptions?

Accepted Answer

Yes—our services can cover everything from ceremony to the last dance. For ceremonies, we provide a dedicated, battery-powered, professional-grade PA system, so you can say your vows anywhere without needing outlets. This same system can also double as satellite speakers for cocktail hour or other spaces separate from the main reception.

How early do you come to set up?

Our setup time is typically 1.5–2 hours, depending on the venue and level of customization. We always arrive 2–2.5 hours early to ensure everything is fully set, sound-checked, and tested, with ample time to troubleshoot and handle any unexpected details well before guests arrive.

Do you provide other services, such as lighting or photo booths?

Yes! We offer a range of enhancements, with some already included in our packages. Options include uplighting, dance floor lighting, and various photo booth experiences. We also maintain trusted relationships with photographers, videographers, violinists/violists, and hair & makeup artists, and are happy to provide recommendations to help round out your vendor team.

What are your sales taxes?

DJ services in Connecticut & Massachusetts are generally not subject to sales tax because they are considered professional or entertainment services rather than the sale or rental of tangible personal property. Sales tax typically applies to physical goods or certain specifically taxable services. Since DJing is a performance-based service, it’s usually exempt—unless it includes taxable items like equipment rentals billed separately.
