Saroj James Hyoju, got into DJ industry upon walking into Latin club in Dallas, Texas in 2015. Coming from band background, he was surprised to see how people were moved by “Gasolina”, a reggaeton song. Observing how DJ was controlling the crowd’s energy while enjoying himself, this made him curious about club music genres, besides metal and rock. Following immediately, he hosted a Bring Your Own Beer (BYOB) house party, where 50 people showed up. A week later, he was invited to co-DJ at one of his friends’ wedding reception and rest is the history.

We were a little nervous about blending my vibrant Nigerian culture with Ben's family's background for a truly unified party. We needed a DJ who could be a cultural translator, a party starter, and a vibe curator. DJ Don X exceeded every expectation. From our initial consultation, he was invested. He asked thoughtful questions about specific Highlife, Afrobeats, and Afro-pop songs that were important to my family, and he was equally enthusiastic about incorporating classic rock and indie hits that spoke to Ben's side.
