District Event Co., formerly District DJ, is a full-service wedding entertainment and event production company serving DC, Maryland, Virginia, and beyond. We provide DJs, MCs, live musicians, bands, photo booths, lighting, special effects, and AV support to create polished, seamless celebrations. From ceremony music and cocktail hour to introductions, special dances, and a packed dance floor, we help bring the entire experience together.

Cello for 5/23 Wedding
We booked a solo cello to play our ceremony and cocktail hour, Jon from District DJ was amazing with the communication and helped answer all the questions we didn't know we had. Our cellist was absolutely incredible, he learned 3 news songs for us and was honestly one of the best parts of the whole wedding. We had a very rainy ceremony and had to make some adjustments because of that, but he was such a professional and adapted to the circumstances with ease. His playing truly set the mood and got my mind off of the rain. I got so many compliments about him during and after the wedding and I couldn't have been happier.

Groom
Jon absolutely crushed it for Kali and my wedding on 2/14/26. Everyone complimented us all night — and days later — about how awesome his set was. Jon also facilitated the sound for our vows, officiants, and ran a game of couples’ trivia during dinner. He was extremely kind and professional throughout, and very easy to work with leading up to the event. If you’re looking for an awesome DJ in the DC area, Jon and District DJ will knock it out of the park for you.

The Vibes Were Immaculate!
We loved working with Jon! He offered us so many great options and was incredibly accommodating with every request we had for our wedding music. He and his team are truly professional and kept the night running smoothly from start to finish. The “dancing on the clouds” feature was such a magical touch for our night sky themed wedding—it made our first dance feel truly unforgettable. We also booked the "retro" photo booth which was a huge hit! Our guests were using it all night long with help from the lovely Shelby. You absolutely NEED this photo booth at your wedding—it’s such a fun experience and an amazing keepsake! We had the best time looking through all the photos afterward. A special shout-out to District Harmony for performing during our ceremony and cocktail hour- they were fantastic! Walking down the aisle to their rendition of “Merry-Go-Round of Life” was a dream come true. Everyone commented on how great they sounded. They were the perfect addition to our day!

Phenomenal DJ!
Choosing Jon and District DJs was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! In addition to his incredible talent as a DJ, the whole experience working with Jon exceeded our expectations. From our very first phone call, Jon understood our vision for the kind of music and vibe we wanted for the evening and curated the perfect playlist for us. The communication leading up to the day was also excellent and we knew exactly what to expect on our wedding day. We loved that District DJs provides photo booth and uplighting services, so we were able to cut down on the number of vendors we had to coordinate with. Jon took care of everything for us and the day was absolutely seamless. One thing that truly sets Jon apart from other wedding DJs we've seen was his technical skill. He used unique and fun music transitions all night, blending tracks together instead of just letting one song cut to the next. The song choice was incredible, and kept the dance floor packed and the energy high all night. Since the wedding, one of the biggest compliments we've received from guests is how good the music was. Jon made the party an absolute success, and we highly recommend him and District DJs to any couple looking for a top-tier wedding entertainment experience!

We love Jon with District DJ!! He was straight to the point and easy to work with, which was much appreciated during the wedding planning process. On the day of, he brought an incredibly fun, lively, and energetic vibe that kept our dance floor packed all night long. He checked in with us multiple times during the night to see if there was anything we needed or needed wanted. I’m pretty sure he even brought us drinks at some point. His vintage photo-booth was a highlight of the night. Highly recommend!!
