Hi, I’m Victoria, the person behind Slow Bloom Photography. 🤍 I started this because I’ve always been drawn to the quiet, meaningful parts of a wedding day — not just the big moments, but the subtle ones. The deep breath before you walk down the aisle. The way your partner looks at you when you’re not even aware. The way your family squeezes you a little tighter during hugs. I photograph weddings in a way that feels calm and intentional. I won’t over-direct you or turn your day into a photoshoot. Instead, I gently guide when needed and give you space to actually live your day. Photos that feel like memories, that feel like you.

“Slow Bloom Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding day. From our very first interaction, Victoria was punctual in her responses, friendly, and demonstrated a true passion for her work. On the day of our wedding, she made us feel completely comfortable and at ease in front of the camera, allowing our natural selves to shine through in the beautiful, thoughtful photos she captured. Victoria has a keen eye for detail and an ability to beautifully document all the special moments that made our day so unique and memorable. We are thrilled with the professional, high-quality work she provided and would highly recommend her to any couple looking for a talented photographer to bring their wedding vision to life.”

With two decades of travel experience, I’m not only comfortable navigating the intricacies of international travel but also thrive on the excitement of exploring new destinations. Whether you choose to elope with only the mountains as your witness, or have the big white wedding of your dreams, I can’t wait to celebrate your love.

“Julia was an absolute joy to work with for our wedding day. From the moment we first spoke with Julia, her communication style was clear, fun, and energetic - she made the entire process so exciting. The quality of her work is truly beautiful, detail-oriented, creative, timeless, and colorful. Julia went above and beyond to contribute to our special day, even flying to Denver to help plan and shoot the proposal for my fiancée and I. She communicated clearly, made every moment so special, and helped us find the perfect proposal spot. We've used her incredible photos for our invitations, wedding website, and have them framed at home. Julia is an incredible photographer who we cannot recommend highly enough.”

Hi, I am Rachel. I am originally from Chicago, although I have been in Portland since 2006 , so some my consider me a Portlander at this point. I'm a full time wedding photographer. My style is clean and candid. I vary between moody and true color depending on the light. I have been operating my business since 2009. I have photographed 200+ amazing weddings. I have a Bachelors in Photojournalism, which I received from one of my favorite places in the world, Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. I packed up my car and moved to Oregon in 2006, from my hometown of Chicago. I met my husband in Oregon and we now have three beautiful children.

“Rachel was so great to work with! She was kind, easy to talk to, and professional. Having never had professional photos done, she came with great ideas and was receptive to what we wanted. She made sure to get pictures of lots of different groups of people as well as fun candidates as well. Thanks Rachel!”

I am a Portland native through and through! My love for photography rivals only my love of traveling. My interest in photography began at a young age, thanks to my Uncle and 8th grade math teacher. After over 18 years of experience, I have mastered the art of putting my clients at ease and creating an environment for them to be present and most importantly be themselves. I have a deep passion for not only the images I create but for the people I work with. I truly consider it an honor to be a part of someone’s wedding day and the images we create together become reflective memories for the couple, not just snapshots in time.

“We made the best choice picking Cambrae to be our photographer for our wedding! Months later, we still get so many complements on our photos on how great a job she did and how fun and charismatic she was around the venue on our wedding day. She put everyone at ease and captured amazing shots of our day. Her professionalism, organizational skills, and eye for detail is amazing. Put together with her infectious spirit and an obvious love of what she does, you can’t go wrong.”

I am a photographer and artist from the Pacific Northwest with Costa Rican and Scottish roots. My favorite things are dinosaurs, exploring new cities, board games, soccer, National Parks, and whiskey. I have been fortunate to photograph 200+ weddings in my PNW home, to ruins in Scotland, cityscapes in Vietnam, to the beaches of Maui, and beyond! I live in Portland, Oregon with my two dogs and three cats | 🏳️‍🌈🦖⛰️✈️📸⚽🫶🏼🌈🌲🦕🏝 Fun Fact: I was born on Leap Year Day so I'm 9 years old 🥳!

Awarded Best of Zola
“I have used many photographers in the past but none came close to the level of expertise that Leah possesses. Over the years, I've done business headshots with her, family photos, and most recently my wedding. Since I have used Leah's services for other things before, I knew what to expect as far as photo-quality goes; the real testimonial comes from how she handled the wedding. Shooting a wedding in another country with a chaotic family is no easy task, even I wouldn't wish it upon myself, but Leah truly knocked it out of the park: she checked in before the event day to go over the schedule, showed up early, got all of the extra shots that I requested, directed people, and just really took charge of the experience. Having her as my wedding photographer was literally one of the only non-stressful decisions I made for that event lol. The photos turned out beautifully, I really can't imagine having anyone else capture one of the most important events of my life. I recommend her wholeheartedly!!”

Sharayah worked with me from start to finish with an unmatched level of kindness, support and professionalism. Our photographer on the team, Marisa, was equally fantastic and put us at ease with how on top of it she was on our big day. She went above and beyond, expertly handling all details, big and small, not to mention an overly eager mother of the bride. In the end, the photos turned out beautifully. I love the mix of editorial and candid style captured, with warmth felt throughout. These are memories I'll cherish forever. Hi, I’m Kyle. I’m Northwest born, Portland based, and like to think that I have pines trees sprouting from my skin and sun-soaked glacial runoff coursing through my veins. Aside from photographing weddings, I enjoy strenuous hikes with a view as much as indie flicks, comic books, carving powdery slopes, rock climbing, and Trail Blazers games. I like to share these details because I strongly believe that connecting with the couples I collaborate with is integral to the creative process of photographing a wedding. A strong connection will result in the best images possible.

Awarded Best of Zola
“This review might be a bit long, so I want to say right up front that Kyle knocked it out of the park and I can’t recommend him enough. The photos are phenomenal. His composition during the ceremony was fantastic, he captured fleeting, emotional moments from our first dance, and he even drove us around the park in the rain between the ceremony and reception to get some truly beautiful shots with the fall foliage. My wife and I chose Kyle Carnes Photography after a very lengthy review of a large number of wedding photographers in the Pacific Northwest. Our wedding was in Portland at the end of October, with the ceremony in a church and the reception at the World Forestry Center in Washington Park. We knew the weather would be unpredictable and likely rainy, but we still wanted great photographs from both venues (and ideally some outdoor photos in the park if it wasn’t pouring.) With those criteria in mind, before meeting with any photographers, we pored over the online portfolios of around 20 different photographers, looking for people who consistently captured great images in a wide variety of lighting conditions. We also looked for variety in the types of weddings themselves—the settings, décor, attire, and overall style. Finally, we knew we wanted true-to-color photos, not sepia-toned or filtered images. That process narrowed our search down to four photographers that we then engaged with more deeply. Right from our first meeting with Kyle, we both felt comfortable. He was easy to work with, showed us additional photos that aligned perfectly with the venues and lighting concerns we discussed, and was open and clear about pricing. He also talked through timeline considerations we hadn’t even thought about, and communication was easy from that point all the way through the wedding. We knew we wanted “getting ready” photos of both the bride and groom, as well as strong candid coverage, so we asked about having a second photographer. Kyle was able to accommodate this and had his assistant, Roberto, join him. On the wedding day itself, Kyle somehow managed to capture everything without us really noticing he was there. For the posed family photos and the shots of just the two of us, he was incredibly easy to work with. We’re not camera-shy, but we’re also not used to being posed, and Kyle’s calm, soft-spoken demeanor made everything feel natural. From the church, to the park, to the reception and dancing, he captured every part of the day beautifully. After the wedding, he delivered the full gallery in less than a week. To be fair, this was faster than he promised, and I don’t want to set unrealistic expectations for future clients, but the turnaround was so impressively fast that it’s worth mentioning. I said this at the beginning, but it’s worth ending the same way: the photos are phenomenal. Everyone who has looked through them has been completely floored. Being able to relive each part of the day so vividly is the best result we could have hoped for from a wedding photographer.”

Hello! I'm Robert. This is me. Let me tell you a bit about who I am and what I do. Love for photography, I am very passionate about working with my camera. If I am creating a little photo for myself that is never seen publicly or a project for a client, I put everything I have into making the photography I create as best I possibly can. Every click of the shudder is an opportunity for creating amazing photography. Every photo-shoot has options for photographs waiting to be found. Solving these puzzles with my camera and lighting is a lot of fun for me. I believe you can see that also. That's why you are here looking at my work now.

Howdy! I am Daphne, your new best friend. I capture weddings across Oregon, Oahu, along the West Coast, and dream of destination weddings. I’ve had a camera in my hand as long as I’ve known how to speak. Capturing love stories is an absolute dream job that I am so thankful for. I've met some of the most amazing couples. I create radiant, true-to-life imagery that feels elevated, clean, and warm. There’s nothing I love more than a sunny day and an iced cardamom latte. When I am not shooting, I am visiting as many countries as I can. I keep Christ at the center of my business, honoring Him with the talents I have been gifted with.

I am a firm believer that friendship comes from learning the weird and quirky about a person, and still wanting to hang out with them after. And, since you will literally spend more time with your photographer than most anyone else on your wedding day, I want to be friends. We NEED to be friends. Like, I’ll-probably-end-up-holding-your-dress-up-while-you-pee type friends. That’s practically BFF status. I’m not only in the business of capturing your epically rad and emotional moments, I am also in the business of making lasting friendships, both of which I’m really awesome at.

“Dionne is one of the most amazing photographers in the PNW (and she travels too!). She was actually one of the first people I reached out to when I was engaged because I knew she HAD to be the one to capture the big day. Originally we were going to go to the mountains to elope but it evolved to smaller ceremony at a barn with great views. She is artsy, and fun and is down for just about anything when it comes to capturing your vision. I would give her 10 stars if I could. If you are looking for a photographer you will not regret booking her. I hope to get future sessions out in the woods with the family too!”

Hi! My name is Bailey and I am the owner of Baileaves Photography. I am a travel and destination wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I travel all over the world to create timeless cinematic images of couples.

Awarded Best of Zola
“I'm going to try to put into words how incredible Bailey was, but honestly, the photos speak for themselves. Let me start with this: we were actually excited for the photos because we knew Bailey was great, but my wife and I are AWKWARD in front of a camera. Like, painfully awkward. So there were still some nerves going in. Bailey put those to rest almost immediately and turned the photo shoot into one of my favorite parts of the entire day, second only to actually marrying my wife. She has this way of making you forget the camera is even there. Within minutes we were laughing and just being ourselves, and it shows in every single shot. The amount of prep work she put in blew me away. She scouted locations ahead of time, knew exactly where the light would be at what hour, and had already figured out where we should stand before we even got there. Nothing was left to chance. You could tell she'd thought through every detail long before the wedding day, and it made everything feel effortless on our end. We just showed up and she handled the rest. But here's the thing that says it all: multiple friends came up to us during the reception asking how long we'd known Bailey and if she was a close friend of ours. She was working. That's just how warm and genuinely fun she is to be around. By the end of the night, it really did feel like we'd known her for years. And the photos. They're so natural, so us, and somehow better than anything we could have imagined. Our friends have been raving about them nonstop, showing them to their fiancées, wives, even their moms. We've already had people asking for her info. If you want a photographer with serious talent who also makes the whole experience genuinely fun, Bailey is it. We couldn't be happier.”

Just a little backstory on how I got into this business. When I was a child, I loved taking pictures of everything. And I mean everything! (I get that from my mom.) Now my dad didn't share this same joy as me because back then it was all film and every snapshot I took...he knew he had to pay to develop. We love to look back on that time of my life now and see where it got me. Its a funny story to reflect on, but so rewarding to see a joy turn into a passion and that passion turn into a career!

I live in Portland with my little family and I am thankful every day that I get to do something I love as a full time career. I got my BFA in photography from California College of the Arts in 2009, and started shooting weddings shorty after that. I believe there is so much magic in a photograph. It allows something to keep on existing, even after it’s gone. I strive to capture moments authentically but cleverly, using light, color and composition to make things compelling and beautiful. I try to be as candid as possible and use very minimal posing; taking a photojournalistic approach whenever I can.
