After years working at a luxury entertainment design company in NYC, I noticed a void in live music, one where planners saw music as the background to the main event rather than something that can guide and elevate it. The Vipers present an impressive repertoire including burning jazz, New Orleans swing, and catchy pop hits of the 1920’s & 30’s. Emily Simone is a classically-trained electric violinist, DJ and producer who has dazzled audiences internationally with her dynamic, impassioned and completely improvised live performances. Approaching dance music with an orchestral sensibility and the turntables as an instrument unto themselves, Emily solos along with whatever the DJ spins – from Rihanna to Reggae, deep house to dirty 90’s RnB -her sets are raw, electrifying and fun.
