In the weeks leading up to the big day, we met with Matt, who walked us through every detail — from the ceremony and cocktail hour to introductions and the reception. We came in with a list of songs and a vision for how we wanted the night to flow, and Matt went above and beyond. He fine-tuned everything to perfection — timing song cues beautifully and even editing our first dance song so it included all our favorite parts without running too long. We went into the wedding with zero playlists and just told him to play whatever - every song was perfect. We only had one requested song which he waited until we were outside to play, and it was great. Our guests still talk to us about the guitarist and how amazing cocktail hour was. While their communication was a bit delayed leading up to the event, they were ultimately effective in executing on the day-of. The DJ kept the party going all night with a good song selection, though they did play 3 Taylor Swift songs in a row at the start, which we would have preferred more variety. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. We'd recommend HiMotive to other couples looking for an energetic DJ.”
