“From our very first conversation through the last song of the night, JJ was organized, responsive, and genuinely invested in getting our day right. He sent over a detailed music and info document, built and split our Spotify playlists into cocktail, dinner, and dance sets, and checked in regularly to make sure nothing slipped through the cracks. When we forgot a detail, he caught it. When we had questions about amplification for our string quartet or audio for our videographer, he had a solution ready before we'd finished asking. He also ran a photo booth for us, matched our design, and handled all of it without us having to think about it. And then there was the party. JJ read the room perfectly and kept the dance floor full all night. If you want a DJ who takes the planning as seriously as the performance, book JJ. We couldn't recommend him more.”

“My husband and I used Direct Entertainment for our DJ and videographer for our wedding and we could not be more pleased!! The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “Our experience working with Jamie and Ceremony DJs can be best summed up by the fact that multiple people told us after the ceremony they wanted to book him for their wedding and at least one got his business card! I can't imagine a better DJ, truly. When we first met with Jamie, he said he could make people dance to anything and would keep people on the dance floor all night, and he WAS NOT LYING. The whole night, the dance floor was PACKED even though it was rainy/muddy/cold/wet. Jamie took us on a journey that covered all of the bases of the music we love to hear and dance to, seamlessly and magically (?) integrating genres with the best mixes, it was pure wizardry and really captured who we were. We as a couple care a lot about music and wanted music that represented who we were and what we like to listen to, and he did not disappoint! So much prep work went into this, he took patience and time to try to understand our tastes and vibe, and it was so cool to have the wedding played on vinyl- basically, Jamie just "got it" from start to finish and we had the best time! Our wedding also got delayed due to rain and a road closure and he was such a good sport, staying late to keep us all dancing for a whole other hour- so fun! Also, when our ceremony musician was stuck in traffic due to the storm, he was so prepared and had our prelude/processional music downloaded so we could still walk down the aisle to the songs we'd chosen. Overall, such a cool, kind, funny guy who was professional and prepared in every way and honest just takes time to meet and know his clients, and clearly just loves to share his love of music. I would book him for everything if I could. BOOK THIS DJ. You will NOT regret it!”

“Richard was helpful and respectful throughout our entire wedding planning process. He worked flawlessly with me, my partner, and our wedding planner to pull off an incredibly fun reception. Richard did an initial call with my partner to discuss the general vibe we were looking for, and we knew immediately he would be a great fit for our wedding. Richard gave us a helpful questionnaire to fill out key songs and general musical interests (and do not play songs). Richard was also happy to jump on calls with us to talk through our questions and hopes for our big day. I especially appreciated that Richard was able to play some German songs for some guests who had flown in from Germany, as that got even some of our older relatives on the dance floor. People were partying all night thanks to Richard! Richard catered to our wide age range of guests, and even gave us a couple of bonus closing songs that were the perfect conclusion to the night. We could not have asked for a better DJ.”

“My husband and I got married this past August and I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while but we had a big move and time got away from us. As a wedding vendor myself I know how important it is to have a DJ that can balance fun and professionalism, but Joey Chang did just that. He was punctual, detail oriented, and our guest couldn’t stop talking about how good he was, both as a musician and as a DJ. I really appreciated the time and effort he took to insure that no details were missed. We booked a lighting package as well and our ceremony space looked even better than I could have imagined. Joey made sure the ceremony audio was perfect. Everyone could hear the whole ceremony which was really important to us. And when he played cello for our processional and recessional, the sound really filled the space and sounded beautiful. During our cocktail hour he played cello and did some beatboxing, we were so impressed and our guests loved it as well, they were talking about how good he was and how they could hardly believe it was live music. After dinner the dance floor was full the whole night. Even months later we still have people telling us how much fun they had dancing, how great our playlist was, and how much they liked our DJ. If you want your wedding to be classy, romantic, a total rager, and go off without a hitch, I would highly recommend hiring Cello Joe!”

“1000/10!! Lucky Devils gave us absolutely the best wedding experience possible. All communication and planning calls were extremely professional, prompt, and easy. We had a prescriptive plan on our music taste and preferences, which Lucky Devils was happy to accommodate, but they also gave guidance based on their expertise, which we so appreciated. We put playlists together because we wanted certain songs playing, but by the time the band came on (we just gave them general guidance beforehand, nothing too prescriptive), their set list was exactly what we were looking for and they completely set the vibe and energy of the party with little direction. We hired them for our ceremony music, which they were able to do with the live guitarist as well as use a speaker for walk down the aisle songs. Everything went seamlessly and exactly how we imagined, but somehow even better. Working with Lucky Devils was an amazing experience from end. They were also very positive and lively on-site, which made us and the guests have so much fun. We have a family band and Lucky Devils even let them play a live song, which will always be one of our favorite memories from our wedding day. Lucky Devils is a one stop shop and can help you with anything, as they have such range- you can hire for your ceremony AND reception (even if in different locations) as an emcee, DJ, live band, etc. and that's exactly what we needed. They have tons of clients at one time but somehow made us feel so special and like we were their only client. Music is so important to us, and honestly I have been putting together a playlist for years, so we were looking for the best group possible to host the experience we were looking for. Lucky Devils was exactly it and it was so amazing to see this music come to life. They brought so much energy, fun, and connection to our guests, we still talk about it! “Erik with Empire of Sound is the friendliest person to work with and him and his team are so talented. He first created us a sample music playlist for us to see what his DJ style was like and we loved it! He was super easy to communicate with before the wedding and provided us with all the information we needed. We gave him a list of songs that we wanted for the dancing ar the reception and he did a great job incorporating them throughout the night and asking us directly what we wanted. He took requests and our guests loved him. The light bar, smoke machine, and equipment were top of the line! It really elevated the experience and everyone was out on the dance floor! The equipment created a great sound and great dancing environment!”

“The Secret Jazz Band made our wedding day so special! All of the guests loved the music & my husband was a big fan because he used to do swing dance in his 20's. I've always wanted to see a live jazz band performance & felt so lucky to have them play on our wedding day. Working with Katie leading up to the wedding was super easy. She is wonderful, kind, and professional. On the day of the wedding, the entire band was professional and warm. They had the biggest smiles on their faces and we felt they were genuinely excited and happy for us, even though this was the very first time we met them in person. The music was superb.
