Photos from the Harty is a small but mighty team of wedding, event, & lifestyle photographers. We've photographed - and attended - tons of events, weddings, etc. We've learned a lot. I lived in Mexico for 7 years only to find out I was unhappy living there! In 2008, my mom, grandma, and I moved to Connecticut, and I began a whole new chapter in my life! I'm a firm believer that things happen for a reason, and everything will eventually fall into place with just a little bit of hope and optimism!

I started off in birth photography and maternity shoots. I got asked to be a backup photographer for 2 weddings and fell so far in love with wedding and engagement photography, I had to add packages. I had so much fun and ended up making some great friendships doing so.

Hi! I'm Katie, an East Coast & Destination Wedding Photographer, based in Washington D.C. After taking a high-school photography class–it quickly became clear that I loved the art of photography. Soon after graduating, I was offered an internship position near Chicago that allowed me to continue to dive into the world of studio lighting, image editing, and commercial photography; continuing to hone on the technical skills that often get left behind when you have the digital screen to instantly see your work.
