I have had the honor of working in the wedding industry for nearly 8 years now & have only recently branched off as an independent wedding planner. From your ceremony and reception to an engagement party or rehearsal dinner, let’s save you the stress & leave all the coordination to me!

Nice to meet you... My name is Monique Cunningham. I'm 31 years old, a proud mom of 2 beautiful rescue pups & happily married! My husband owns the most beautiful tropical rooftop bar, PufferFish, which just so happens to be a perfect place to take the after party! From wedding ceremonies and receptions to engagement parties and rehearsal dinners, I have executed over 300 events & personally coordinated 75 weddings.     We had the pleasure of working with Monique as our day-of coordinator, and she was absolutely incredible. Everyone told us that something always goes wrong on the wedding day, but I can honestly say our day was seamless—and we fully credit Monique for that. Our wedding involved multiple locations (ceremony, dinner, and reception), and Monique was one step ahead at each one. She brought the organization and attention to detail that my fiancé(e) and I, both being more laid-back, truly needed. She anticipated needs before they came up, like having small fans and ice water ready on a hot day and quietly working with venues to adjust the temperature—things I didn’t even realize were happening behind the scenes. She also went above and beyond in ways we didn’t expect—like creating short videos throughout the day that we absolutely love and repurposing decorations creatively across each site. Monique was present whenever we needed her, yet gave us the space to enjoy our day without interruption. I highly recommend Monique to anyone planning a wedding. Her professionalism, preparedness, and care made all the difference.

    If you’re reading this and debating to hire Monique, here’s your answer. HIRE HER! We quickly realized that a day of coordinator was a necessity for our wedding, and we immediately realized that Monique was the perfect person for the job. Right from the initial consult, Monique put us at ease that our day was in good hands with her as our coordinator. She was available for communication when needed for the months prior, and met with us multiple times to ensure we were all on the same page for the wedding. Additionally, she even came to our rehearsal to make sure all went smoothly and all of our wedding party knew what to expect the day of. We had a decent amount of DIY decor for both the ceremony and reception, which was all executed perfectly by the guidance and hard work of Monique alongside other vendors. This included a full room flip in a small amount of time! Additionally, Monique got all of our decor from us during our rehearsal, and took it home with her the night of the wedding so she could bring it to us the next day (which was a huge help!). Ultimately, Monique was most valuable in the way she worked so hard to not only give us the perfect day, but also to make it completely stress free for us. We were able to truly enjoy all the special moments of our wedding day, and I know this would not have been the case if her didn’t have Monique. We will forever be thankful for Unique by Monique Weddings!!

    Lizzie, you're an absolute gem, thank you so much!! I'm truly never going to forget when your groom looked up with tears in his eyes & said "this is the best day of my life" ...but it was July 20, 2021 when the Milwaukee Bucks won the NBA Championship 😂 I trust now as a newly minted husband, Ryan has reorganized his 'best day' rankings to include your wedding day as #1! You two are so incredibly full of life and I don't think I have laughed or danced that much while packing up your things at the end of the night. 10/10 would go back in time and do it all over again!

    We had the BEST experience with Monique. We decided to hire her as our day-of coordinator about 2 months prior to our wedding because the stress of decorating the venue and keeping a timeline for the day was just too much for me. Monique SAVED US and helped create the best day of our lives! Her knowledge of the industry was so helpful with figuring out the small, last minute details when we met up about 6 weeks before the wedding. Her communication was great and she knew exactly what to do when we reached a bump in the road when it came to our rehearsal. She managed running our rehearsal and her ability to (patiently) corral our bridal party in order to remain on task was very impressive. Our wedding day ran so smoothly and my husband and I were able to fully enjoy the day and it is all thanks to Monique! You can tell that she loves what she does and she makes your day just as important to her as it is to you. Look no further, because Monique is your girl!

I was wondering why everyone was looking at me as I walked in with your card box and guest book from cocktail hour. The bartender filled me in afterwards, but it was so nice to get acknowledged. Your wedding was truly a highlight of my summer!

    I can't imagine my wedding day without Monique running the show! She is so incredibly easy to work with, listened to our vision and executed it perfectly. We showed up to the best day of our lives and didn't have to lift a finger. Her communication leading up to the day exceeded our expectations! The way she coordinated with our vendors and their individual timelines was second to none. The relief we felt going into our wedding week was such a weight lifted and it's all due to Monique.
