    We truly couldn’t recommend Lyssa enough! Although we hired her as our day-of coordinator, she went far above and beyond that role. Starting months before the wedding, she helped us stay on track with our timeline, did frequent check-ins, and made sure every little detail was thought through. Lyssa was the key to our day running as smoothly as it did — honestly, we don’t know what we would have done without her. She handled all the little things you’d never think of, stayed five steps ahead, and made sure we were always taken care of. She connected with all our vendors to keep everyone organized and on the same page, which reduced our stress tenfold. She genuinely wants the best for her couples, is extremely organized, and brings so much insight and experience to the table — including things we never even thought to ask about. Thanks to Lyssa, we were able to truly relax and enjoy our day knowing everything was handled perfectly.

    It was an absolute pleasure to work with Lyssa for our wedding. From the very beginning, she was proactive, friendly, and prompt in her communication, making the planning process a breeze.     Holy cow, Lyssa rocks, hire her now before she books up! I'll be honest, I was skeptical about needing a planner for our wedding ("ours isn't a crazy extraganza, how much do they do?"), but now I can't imagine how anyone does it without one. Now for the details you probably care about: - Lyssa is responsive & helpful - we had numerous big wrenches thrown at us during wedding planning (venue got sold, etc.) and Lyssa was ready for our panicked call, talked us through options and making us confident things would be O.K. - Lyssa is fun - I know that's not top of the list, but you spend a lot of time interacting with your planner, so it helps if you enjoy it. - We hired her to be planner & day of coordinator. We also went with her extra packages where she handles the majority of floral & decor. Having the same person do the day-of was so helpful, because she already knew everything that was going on & had helped us create timelines that were realistic. - Lyssa (especially if helping with decor) helps you fit your vision into your budget. She's a regular at all the craft stores & FB marketplace around Milwaukee and knows all their deals - if we had bought the exact same stuff ourselves without Lyssa handling it, I bet we would have paid 3x as much for the decor we used. We already recommended Lyssa to a couple friends, so we'd recommend her to you as well. P.S: her husband is a great D.J., so you potentially just checked off finding 2 vendors at once. :D

    I am so glad that we worked with Lyssa and Modern Sage for their day of coordination services. We started planning our wedding on our own as we had a good idea of what we wanted, but working with Lyssa made the planning process easier as I didn't have to take the time to look up recommendations on things like how much to tip vendors, I could just reach out to Lyssa. We hired Lyssa because we didn't want to have to worry about anything the day of the wedding, but I couldn't imagine how much of a difference having her involved would make. She helped with so many little things during the event that I just didn't have to think twice about anything other than enjoying my wedding and spending time with our guests. From making sure everything was set up for the ceremony and making sure we both always had a drink or whatever else we possibly needed, to saving some of the passed appetizers for us to enjoy and putting together an incredible video for us after the wedding, Lyssa did it all and so much more. Whether you are looking for a wedding planner or just someone to help with the details day of, I highly recommend working with Lyssa and Modern Sage as she will run with whatever you ask her to do and will make sure you can be in the moment and not worrying about the details.
