Maria Hunter Photography

I moved to New York City in 2000 after graduating from the University of California Santa Cruz with a degree in art and a concentration in photography. I started photographing weddings in New York City in 2002. In 2006 Bob Moyers, (my then finance-now husband) started photographing weddings with me, and we have been shooting together ever since! My background in fine art photography and Bob’s background in commercial photography blend seamlessly to produce a wholly unique interpretation of each wedding we photograph.

Our approach to wedding photography is primarily photojournalistic with a touch of candid and relaxed portraiture. We focus on unobtrusively capturing the emotions, relationships, and special moments of each wedding as they happen naturally while special attention is placed on artistically documenting the many details that make each wedding unique. Our boutique-style wedding photography is focused on providing clients with exceptional customer service and unparalleled personal attention, while giving each wedding the utmost energy and creativity. All albums are custom designed, retouched, and printed in house to assure the highest quality.
