You’ll be working directly with me, Allie, on creating the best cake for your budget. Whether it’s a simple cake for 25 guests or a large four-tier cake with embellishments, I have affordable options for you. You’re in good hands! I’ve baked and decorated cakes for over 10 years, and I’m still hooked! I began my journey training at ICE in New York City and worked at celebrated bakeries, including The Chocolate Room, Balthazar, and Billy’s Bakery.

Weddings are expensive! In my small way, I’d like to help be part of the solution. Folks can turn to Big Day, Small Budget Cakes for beautiful, high-quality celebration cakes at reasonable prices. While I can keep costs down when others can't, what I don’t do is sacrifice quality. I make every cake with the same ingredients and care that I do for my family and friends.

From the first conversation, their communication was seamless—they answered all our questions quickly and made the whole process feel stress-free. The cake itself was absolutely delicious, and the quality was outstanding for the price point. They really understood what we wanted and delivered exactly that without any surprises or disappointments.     Discovering Big Day, Small Budget Cakes is like...

    discovering Williamsburg Brooklyn in the early 90s - you found out about it before the rest of the world caught up. I was looking for a fun and yummy cake for my husband's 40th birthday so a friend of a friend recommended Allie. Checked out her Instagram (@bigdaysmallbudgetcakes), everything looked super cute, so I DMed her and told her only a few things - that my husband *loves* LEGO, tart flavors, and cheesecake. Pause... then Allie laughed and said "I know exactly what I'm gonna do" in this fun mysterious way. So forward a few weeks when she brought the surprise cake to the party, and YES, home. run. Allie baked a 4x2 LEGO brick cake (YES), with light sea blue frosting (his favorite color), a raspberry and cheesecake filling (he loves berries and New York Cheesecake), with a light fluffy interior that was *perfect* for a super hot BBQ day. His eyes lit up when he saw the cake, and it was sooo cute to watch him cut the cake together with our daughter for his big birthday. Just as awesome as the cake, was Allie herself. I immediately felt her positive energy and brightness when I talked to her on the phone. Meeting her in person was no different (she delivered it herself!!). Allie and her cake is one of those things where you taste it and you look up at her (with half-chewed cake in your mouth) and say "Holy crap, this is *amazing*, you gotta do your own thing one day!!". I can't wait to have another event to hire her for another fun and amazingly looking and tasting cake. Don't hesitate, hire. Allie!

    Unique Flavors, Gorgeous Presentation, Zero Fuss

    Allie made us a one-tier wedding cake and cupcakes that were both beautiful and actually delicious, which is harder to come by than you’d think. She was super open to our ideas (Earl Grey cake with light lemon buttercream was a standout), and the presentation was minimal but elegant, exactly what we wanted. The texture and flavors were spot on, not too sweet, not dry, and our guests devoured everything. She made the process easy and low-stress, which was a huge win. Would 100% work with her again.

    Delicious and Beautiful

    I found Allie on here, looking for a baker to create a cake for our engagement party and test as a dry-run for our wedding next year. Allie was so quick to respond, easy to work with, and friendly to chat with about what we were looking for. The sample flavors were all delicious, and we ultimately ordered a chocolate cake with raspberry jam and biscoff buttercream inside, and vanilla buttercream outside to show off a colorful, abstract design (which looked perfect). Everyone at the party loved it, and multiple people told me that whoever made this cake should also do our wedding cake, which was the plan all along! I even requested a mini-cake in a different flavor because I had a guest with a soy allergy and Allie was more than happy to accommodate for this. My fiancé even said we need to order another cake just for us "just because" because he doesn't want to wait until next year to have more cake from her. I highly recommend Allie!

    Perfect Cake!

    I recently requested a cake from Allie to celebrate my 40th birthday, and she seriously delivered a masterpiece. I gave her some creative freedom and she came up with the perfect cake: a combo of cardamom, dulce de leche, and Phantom of the Opera. I have never eaten anything so delicious. Words cannot express my appreciation for this beautiful cake . Thank you!!

I can accommodate vegan diets with chocolate or vanilla cake flavors. Unfortunately, I cannot accommodate gluten-free diets at this time.
No, delivery varies depending on where the venue is located. However, if the client prefers to avoid a delivery cost, they can arrange a separate service.
Of course! Anything you see in my gallery is just past-work but I'm open to custom designs. Keep in mind that I only work with buttercream frosting—not fondant.
We can discuss the sizing options together in a consultation. I'll ask you questions like "How many servings will you need" and "Will you be serving other desserts" to arrive at a good size for your celebration.
