Bo Shim

Photographer

Photography has been Bo’s passion for many years. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree and began working for a local photography studio. Later she joined a more elite photography company where she worked for over six years honing her knowledge and skills as a professional photographer. Bo took her experience and established Bashful Captures. Her work has been featured by several leaders in the wedding industry.

Bo’s approach is a combination of emotional instinct with over a decade of experience and technical skills. She is purposeful in leaving room for spontaneous inspiration and is able to flow seamlessly between documentary and editorial style, always keeping in mind that each moment deserves its own approach and discernment of style that serves it best.

    We were so lucky to work with Bo and her team for our wedding and welcome party. Looking at the photos from Bo has been a true highlight of the whole wedding. We have loved reliving the day through the photos, which perfectly captured all of our favorite moments. Bo has such a keen eye and made so many incredible artistic decisions that made our photos really special. Everyone that we've shown them to has asked us the same question, "How are you going to pick?" We are so appreciative of the hard work that Bo and team did to make our wedding day so special.     Bo was both our engagement and wedding photographer and she’s honestly the best! Not only is she just an overall amazing photographer and person, but she really was one of the best vendors we got to work with throughout our whole wedding process. She’s soooo helpful and was always there to answer any questions that we had which made things so much more easy for us through all that wedding madness! She’s also so so sweet and made all of our photo shoots so much fun. Our engagement and wedding photos came out absolutely GORGEOUS!!! We had so many people reaching out to us about her services because they loved our photos too! If we could do it all over again, we would book her a million times over. We seriously can’t recommend her enough. You can tell she really cares about her clients and that she puts in the effort to actually get to know you as a couple outside of everything else. We’re so happy to have gotten the chance to work with her and we have no regrets!

    Bo and her assistant were absolutely amazing. Bo was very organised through the planning process, responding to emails quickly, and assisting with any questions I had. She was flexible in adjusting the contract after life got crazy and we weren't able to squeeze in our engagement photos. On the day, she was incredible. She knew exactly where to go, was calm throughout when everyone decided they wanted group photos after the ceremony and ate into the sunset hour. She and her assistant worked seamlessly, was never intruding, and took gorgeous photos and I will forever be grateful!
