Hair Stylist/Makeup Artist

My name is Michiko and I am a freelance hair stylist and makeup artist based in NYC. I've had 15+ years of experience working on set as well with private clients. During the week I keep busy working fashion photo shoots, tv commercials/videos, red carpet events, and private clients. On weekends, I focus on weddings. I am a member of IATSE Local 798 Union for hair and am represented by Bryan Bantry Agency in NYC. I love everything about my job and am happy I found a career that makes me happy.

I am strong at both hair and makeup. Hair is my preference and first love but I can hold it down in makeup too. I have experience with all hair textures and skin tones. I bring my expertise from red carpet events, to fashion & beauty shoots to my bridal clients.

    Words cannot express how wonderful Michiko Boorberg is - she deserves 100 stars! She is a true artist and upmost professional and has the natural ability to make you feel gorgeous and at ease. Michiko did my hair and makeup for both my rehearsal dinner and wedding and I've never felt so beautiful in my entire life. It was important to me to not look like I had too much make up on and during the hair and makeup test leading up to the wedding, she listened to what I wanted and was able to translate that into exactly what I wanted. She did such a great job I didn't need any touch ups throughout the entire evening like I thought I would. I truly cannot recommend her enough!
