    Blown Away - Best Makeup and Hair

    There are some people who are so talented that you trust them with life's biggest moments, and for me is Lucie. Long before my wedding, Lucie had already become someone I relied on whenever I wanted to feel my absolute best. She first did my hair for a magazine event in NYC, and I was blown away. Then in 2023, she came to Trinidad to do my makeup for Carnival, and once again she exceeded every expectation. So when it came time to choose someone for my destination wedding in St. Maarten, there wasn't a second of hesitation to call her. My family traveled from Toronto, Trinidad, and New York to celebrate with us, and from the moment Lucie arrived, she brought such a calming, positive energy into the room. Wedding mornings can be emotional, stressful, and overwhelming, but she somehow made everything feel easy. She calmed my nerves, made me laugh when I needed it most, and turned the entire getting-ready process into one of my favorite memories from the day. What makes Lucie so special is that she truly listens. She paid attention to every detail and understood exactly how each person wanted to look and feel. My mom, my sister-in-law, the bridal party, and I all felt so beautiful, confident, and cared for. She has an incredible understanding of Caribbean textured hair and tighter coils, and seeing how effortlessly she worked with different hair types gave all of us so much confidence. As for me, I genuinely felt like the most beautiful version of myself. Not overdone. Not like someone else. Just me but elevated of course ...in every way. She made me look and feel like the best bride in the world, and for that I am forever grateful. That's something I'll never forget. Beyond her exceptional talent, Lucie is warm, and deeply passionate about what she does. She is a dear friend to me and ill never forget blasting Soca music and us all dancing and laughing while getting ready. She has a way of making every client feel special, and that is a rare gift. Looking back at my wedding photos brings me so much joy, and a huge part of that is because of how beautiful and confident she made me feel. I can't imagine my wedding day without her, and I will be grateful forever that she was a part of it. If I could go back in time and fly her out for my bachelorette glam I would have.     Absolutely Incredible—From Wedding Day to Everyday

    I honestly can’t say enough good things about working with my hair and makeup stylist—what started as a one-day wedding booking turned into a long-term relationship, and that says everything. From the very first trial, she completely understood my vision and elevated it in ways I didn’t even know to ask for. On my wedding day, she brought such a calm, grounded energy to what could have been a stressful morning. Everything ran seamlessly, and I felt completely taken care of—not just as a client, but as a person. My hair and makeup held up flawlessly from the first photo to the last dance, and I’ve never felt more like myself (just a slightly more polished version). What really sets her apart, though, is that the experience didn’t end there. I trusted her so much after the wedding that she became my regular hair stylist, and she’s been just as incredible in that role.
