For me, photography has always been meditative. When I'm working with my camera, I'm constantly considering the best possible way to portray my subjects that feels truly beautiful and honest. I work in both film + digital!

I started photography years ago as an elective in college and I never knew what it would become. I've always maintained full time jobs (I've been a graphic designer and special education teacher) but my passion for photography kept me pursuing it on the side. Eventually I became so consumed by my efforts that I was able to go full time in my business. I care deeply about my clients. Not only do I want you to have a great time but I want you to love your photos. I work tirelessly on always growing and refining my craft to deliver the best, most timeless photos.

Tyler’s love of photography started in his mid-twenties while touring with the Billboard-charting indie-rock band, A Great Big Pile of Leaves. He began his professional photography career capturing behind-the-scenes images for national ad campaigns and found his strength in anticipating all of the emotional, hilarious, quirky and exciting candid moments. Tyler’s documentary photography style is inspired by photo journalism and his editing embodies the tones, contrast and color familiar to analog film. While he enjoys the technical and creative aspects of portraiture photography, capturing the spontaneity of life is what drives his work.

My couples mean the world to me. I love hearing their stories, what makes them tick, and the things that are important to them. It’s my goal to capture them exactly the way they are; how they crack jokes, poke fun, dance together, hold one another. I’m there to capture the genuine tears, the laughs, how you just fit so well together. With directive posing, I bring out real chemistry and personalities. With my laid back vibe, I’ll ensure even the photo-heavy parts of the day are a breeze. Ever since I was a child, I've been passionate about arts and culture. Wedding photography fulfills my passion in various ways more than I would have ever imagined. I studied photography at U-Arts and PCAD, and have been photographing weddings for over 10 years, throughout which I've been developing my style of photo-journalism. When it comes to portraits, I love to get more editorial and incorporate bits of what makes you, you (as a couple) with the surrounding light, nature and architecture. She has a knack for finding locations that make natural surroundings look like professional sets, placing her subjects in an ethereal glow that’s usually reserved for storybook endings. An experienced industry professional through-and-through, she navigates the timeline of the day with a caring, hospitable hand and a keen artistic eye.

I moved to New York City in 2000 after graduating from the University of California Santa Cruz with a degree in art and a concentration in photography.
