Hi! I grew up in NY and came to Milwaukee 8 years ago - you could say it was for love. We have settled in and embraced our new community. I have been so lucky to always have working with people at the forefront of everything I do. From teaching to non profit work, photography allows me to do all of those things. I LOVE being outside and exploring new places. We live on the shores of Lake Michigan and visit the beach regularly year round. When I am not frolicking and photographing amazing people, I am usually spending time with my nutty little family outside.

Everyone deserves to feel amazing, always. I find people to be so incredible and love spending time getting to know who you are and honestly photographing that. The connection between people is remarkable, and to be the one to document that in it's rawest form is what excites me! Best way to reach me is my website!

    It’s been over a month after my wedding and I’m still wondering if it is acceptable to love you wedding photographer more then your husband??? I can not speak more highly of Chelsea! When we first met I knew it was meant to be, her passion for capturing love and telling a love story just pours out of her. When looking for a wedding photographer we wanted someone who was easy going, professional, fun to work with, and loved love as much of us, Chelsea blew these “requirements” out of the water. Not only is she an amazing, kind, caring person but her work is is equally amazing. We love that her photos are edited in a natural way and that she captures all of the small natural moments. Nothing every seemed forced! My husband and I highly recommend Chelsea Matson Photographer! We are so grateful that she came into our lives (for good now) and could capture the most important day of our lives.

    Chelsea is an absolute dream! She has an incredible eye and captures the big moments, but also the intimate and special moments throughout the day. Her photos are stunning and so so special, as she really gets to know you and your family. Chelsea will find the beauty in and celebrate what is special about/unique to you as a couple, and the results show that. She is so kind, easy and fun to work with, and was a real support throughout our whole planning process. Especially since we got married during the pandemic we had a lot of questions and unique hoops to jump through. Chelsea was always willing to talk through details (even those not photo-related!), share suggestions, etc. throughout our planning process. The day of Chelsea was a joy to have around and her positive energy and willingness to do whatever it took for the perfect shot (including walking backwards for several blocks during our mariachi band parade through the streets) is unmatched. I recommend Chelsea Matson Photography to any and everyone- you will not be disappointed!
