Excellent choice for your wedding entertainment!

Jack Boatman is a Milwaukee native with an extensive background in music. He obtained a B.S. in Music Education from Case Western Reserve University in the spring of 2018. He prides himself on being an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, having played the violin for over 20 years and picked up several other instruments along the way, including guitar, drums, bass, and banjo. Jack has been DJing weddings and school dances since the spring of 2015. He is not only a skilled mixer and request manager, but an engaging MC who can lead any special dances or activities you have in mind.

His expansive knowledge of music ranges from the classical works he grew up playing to the pop trends of today, with all generations of throwback hits in between. Outside of his music services business, Jack also works as a statistician for the Milwaukee Bucks, as well as Marquette and UW-Milwaukee basketball and volleyball. In his free time, Jack likes to play his instruments, rock climb, and hang out with his corgi Chester and cat Bean.

    Jack went above and beyond our expectations! He's soo talented and super easy to get along with. We had so many compliments on the music and energy on the dance floor!

    We loved DJ Jack Boatman!

    We absolutely loved working with Jack Boatman! He brings a great mix of professionalism and fun to the party! Not only did he DJ our event he also played violin for our ceremony and did amazing uplighting in our reception. Not only that, he offered to attend our rehearsal dinner so everyone was feeling good about their cues and we all had the lay of the land. He helped with timelines, let us choose custom songs for our ceremony, helped us pick the right uplighting program and truly just was a great addition to our vendor team. He was down for anything we threw at him and kept our dance floor absolutely packed the entire evening! We loved every second of working with Jack and would absolutely recommend hiring him for your wedding!

You are not at all limited to a song list! I pride myself on being able to learn any song you can come up with, regardless of popularity or sheet music availability. I can also use a backing track to enhance the full sound of your song selection as you walk down the aisle.
Yes, you absolutely can! I like to say that I operate on a full spectrum in this regard. One end has you picking each song you want played at the reception, even down to the order! On the other end, you can put your full trust into my hands to put together an amazing dance mix that you’ll remember forever. Most couples live somewhere in between, and I’m happy to accommodate!
Basically the first 20 miles of roundtrip travel are free/included, and beyond that it's $1 per mile, typically comprising a small percentage of the overall package chosen. There is no breakdown fee!
I like to keep things moving and on schedule as much as possible, making all necessary announcements as MC. However, once dance time comes around, I prefer to sit back and let the music do the talking!
