I created Dear Heart Film + Portraits in college when I realized just how much I love photographing other people. It started with fun-loving seniors and now has developed into capturing adventurous couples who are so unashamedly in love.

From the day we sign our contract, we're a team and I'll be there for you with whatever you need. I help with creating your timeline, providing location and outfit guidance for your engagement shoot, and answering any questions you have along the way.

She went above and beyond, not only capturing breathtaking images of our wedding day but also taking the time to truly get to know us as a couple. Our engagement shoot was the perfect warm-up.     Shelby did such an amazing job! She truly made our vision come to life! It was fun to do an engagement shoot first to get comfortable with her and just practice taking formal pictures but she made it so easy! She was super communicative and organized throughout the whole process. Her photos are super natural looking and not overdone but still so pretty!

    We cannot say enough good things about Shelby! She is one of the warmest and kindest people we have ever met. I HATE being photographed, and my husband and I cannot tolerate being the center of attention. Somehow, she made the wedding photo shoot so enjoyable that we were sad to leave. She provided plenty of ideas for where to shoot and how to pose. She took our feedback regarding the look and feel we wanted for our photos, and they look GORGEOUS! Shelby possesses a remarkable ability to make you feel at ease, and she loves what she does, which is evident in her pictures. Again, it is impossible to say enough good things!     Shelby is absolutely amazing, and I could not recommend her enough! Both my husband and I tend to be a bit camera shy, but Shelby created a very comfortable so both our engagement session and our wedding photos were a great experience. I am very grateful for her help during the planning process and she went above and beyond during our wedding.
