More than a decade ago, two sisters - knew there had to be a better way to allow talented photographers and videographers to focus on what they do best -- create gorgeous art -- while providing couples with better support in the planning process. Together, they created an all-inclusive, stress-free environment where couples can choose from talented local photographers and videographers and work with a small team of planning experts equipped and eager to make everything a success. With the pressure gone, you can truly enjoy your big day. Relax and rest assured that all the emotional and moments will be documented with unmatched quality.

From the very first interaction, the team at Once Like a Spark Wedding Co. was incredibly responsive, patient, and detailed in their communication with us. On our wedding day, their incredible attention to detail was evident in the stunning photos they captured. They were constantly checking in with us throughout the reception to make sure we were getting all the shots we wanted. As a couple who isn't always comfortable in front of the camera, Mario made us feel at ease and was able to create the exact type of photos we had envisioned. Our wedding day was truly unforgettable, and we have Once Like a Spark to thank for preserving those memories so beautifully. We would absolutely recommend them to any couple planning their big day!

You know when you meet someone and it feels like you've been friends forever? That's Heather for you! Heather is fun, kind, warm, and will be your ultimate hype girl! Aside from being an awesome human, Heather is a talented photographer. Don't know how to pose and feel super awkward in front of a camera like me? No worries, Heather's got you! She'll direct you on how to stand, how to put your hands, how your face should look, give you hot tips... all of it! She also has a sharp eye for beautiful landscapes. You're in good hands and will have cute photos, I promise. In addition to Heather, we were lucky enough to work with her videographer, Andrew, and another shooter from her team. The entire HCP team was so fun to work with you and will put you right at ease. I've gotten to do 3 shoots with Heather to date and am incredibly pleased with how our photos have come out. In fact, I haven't even gotten the final album for our wedding yet (just previews) and i'm STILL impressed! If you have the opportunity to work with this team, take it. I couldn't recommend them enough.

Big fan of dive bars, staring at the stars, forever searching for the best french fries, a blissfully cold Diet Coke, and a true midwestern why fly it's only 15 hours. You'll find me often traveling, spending time in nature, collecting rocks and shopping for vintage t-shirts. I love carefree messy in between moments, photographing my daily life on polaroids and film. I've lived a lot of places (Arizona, Arkansas, and Puerto Rico to name a few!) and have so many places that I treasure and feel at home.

When I was in the throes of wedding planning over a year ago, I was reaching out to vendors and putting payments down for June 2, 2024, and was crossing my fingers my deployed fiancé would even be able to attend, thanks to his unpredictable schedule. Amidst the stress (and borderline panic attacks!!) I was having because of that, I was also receiving a lieu of impersonal emails with quotes from photographers. When I got the email back from Jessica, she was the only one who answered with excitement and personality, and gave me a sense that this was supposed to be FUN. All this wedding planning was a very lucky sort of stress, and she didn’t make me feel like I was just some box to check off in her inbox— she was personable and friendly, and I liked her immediately. For the course of the year, Jessica and I kept up with eachother with texts, messages, and Instagram— and I felt like she was already a friend when June arrived. Even after her 12 hour journey to Virginia, she was full of energy and ready to go. She helped adjust some coordination timelines and caught things that I otherwise wouldn’t have. She hung out with my rambunctious family all weekend, witnessing our love and laughter, WIDE range of personalities, and even some sisterly tiffs. Honestly, she whole-heartedly became part of our crew. She ran everything past me when it came to details. Duke and I are not people who are comfortable in front of a camera, and I LOVED having her specifically tell us what to do to look good, while still feeling incredibly relaxed and natural around her. Duke and I kept saying she had Jedi powers the way she was able to flip cameras, batteries and equipment seamlessly. I’m writing this while in the airport leaving our honeymoon, and not only did Duke and I, and our families fall in love with Jessica— I still have guests reaching out to me via text to tell me how they hit it off with her on their own, how impressed they were with her ethic, or how they loved pictures from our sneak peek (eeeek!) I am not a girl who naturally feels pretty or comfortable in front of a camera. Jessica gave me the gift of finally experiencing both of those things on our special day. I felt beautiful and at ease. She captured the bridal portraits that I hope my great grandkids will put in their family tree projects for school one day, some of Dukes family and mine meeting for the first time, friends dancing, and our grandparents mingling and giving us their love. Duke and I knew our big white wedding would be our one chance to have everyone we love in one place. We are well aware of the rarity in that, and the fact that we don’t have much longer with some of those people we love. We’re well aware that these are the photos Duke and I will be looking at with our grandchildren when we’re old and grey, thinking about “the good ol’ days.” These photos are all we will have left one day of the people we love so fiercely, and these versions of ourselves. We will endlessly be grateful for Jessica of her effort and the labor that went into photographing a weekend like ours. She captured every single aspect of us and those we love, and above all us, gave us the gift of memory. 3 Faith and Duke

We used Aventi photo/video/coordination and they were a dream team! They kept us on schedule and were so helpful in every way- helped us get my vail on, helped me bustle my dress, helped us pick locations for all pictures/formals. The communication leading up to the day was incredible- we had our own text chain with the whole team and could ask questions at any point. They were constantly communicating amongst themselves the day of, to keep our day on track but also willing to switch directions on things if needed and took any suggestions we had to heart. We received our engagement pics back within a week and received our wedding pictures back in under 2 weeks and were blown away at what they captured. Truly an amazing team to work with- I'd hire them again a million times!

I’ve always been passionate about capturing moments as authentically and magically as possible, and as i’ve settled more into this career path, I love that i’ve landed in a place where I have the privilege to capture and preserve people’s love stories. I commit to a limited number of Weddings per year to ensure that your day remains a priority. Photography is all about connection and your photographer will be one of the biggest and longest-lasting connections you’ll share with any of your wedding vendors. I strive to create beautiful portraits, but also a lasting relationship with my couples. When you book with us, you are not just a client, you become part of the JYP family! I am honored to have the opportunity to laugh…to cry…to share your love story.

Where do I even start? Jessica is probably hands down the easiest person we worked with on our wedding. We unintentionally scheduled our wedding on Mother's day and this was obviously an important day for her, but she worked with us anyway. She worked through our foolishness (my husband and I are incapable of being serious in most situations), and often would join in on the fun. She also provided a schedule of events which was incredibly helpful for me as I had no idea what I was doing. Jessica is an amazing photographer, but that is not really the best quality here. She is an amazing person all around and I highly recommend her!

I photograph weddings the way I see the world — cinematically, with a focus on atmosphere, emotion, and the small moments that reveal who you are. Based in NYC and Atlanta, my approach is calm and intentional, blending natural interactions with a refined, editorial eye.

After our first photographer fell through, we found Caz and luckily he happened to be available on our wedding date. From the very first contact, he was incredibly responsive (super important to us), friendly and professional. His work looked great so we were excited - then we found out he was featured in Vogue! We were stoked. He was amazing to work with on the wedding day - punctual, friendly, got all the requested shots, and the whole bridal party loved him. We got our pictures back today - and they’re so much better than we could have dreamed of. It’s no wonder he was featured in Vogue - his work is artistic, candid, and beautiful. Thank you Caz for giving us such beautiful memories so we can relive the best day of our lives.

Hello, friends! I'm a wife, momma, & self proclaimed adventurer. I live with my husband, Ryan, in Central Missouri, but spend a lot of time on the road traveling! From Colorado & the PNW to Germany & New Zealand, I'm a fan of world travels...and I'm more than willing to go just about anywhere for YOU! I'm here to capture ALL of life's adventures for you.

Marissa was amazing every step of the way. She helped to narrow down an elopement location base off of our wants. She also came up with a detailed schedule for the whole time spent with her, and options to choose from base off the location we picked! Due to weather, I had a freak out a couple days before the elopement. When I emailed her about my concerns, she responded within 15 minutes reassuring me she was making a back up plan and emailed a new detailed schedule with options within a few hours! And the pictures?! Phenomenal! Everything I could have hoped for!

  • Starts at $2,800
  • Serves Wheaton, MO

Hey there! My name is Evan and I am a wedding photographer with over 10 years experience in the industry! I describe my style as photojournalistic, candid, cinematic with true to life dramatic tones. I aim to be the laid back calming presence that you want in a vendor, while also being someone who takes the reigns as a trusted professional that keeps you organized and on time. I have a vast level of experience in many shooting situations (tons of venues, inclement weather, tricky lighting, and other surprises - you name it!) I treasure the relationships I get to foster with my clients. Documenting for you is my honor - lets connect!

Awarded Best of Zola
I could not recommend Evan enough!! She has been taking photos for our family for over 10 years. She’s taken photos of our family’s high school graduation, weddings, anniversary’s, and family photos. She’s more than a photographer, she's a genuine human telling a story of life. She makes anyone feel comfortable behind a camera (my husband HATED photos being taken of him and was so skeptical of having her take photos of us. When we left our first session with Evan I asked how he felt, He told me he will never have photos taken with anyone else. He never felt like he was on camera but just with me in a new space! A HUGE win for us!!) She really makes you feel like you’re a family in motion rather than subjects to her camera. She’s always prompt in delivering a gallery and always makes sure we like them! (We have never ever been disappointed in 1 photo). She’s so calm and enjoyable to work with. Her attitude and energy are what make her the best human to photograph a life in front of her. Thank you Evan, for capturing the moments that matter the most to us and for being our forever family photographer. We will continue to value the memories you’ve give us forever.

No two weddings are the same, and similarly, no two wedding photographers are the same. So why are we different? What separates us from the pack? While I could go on and on here, in short, its vision and hustle. Some photographers coast through business on their natural talents, we have spent the last 10+ years constantly training ourselves to become better and better. This continuing development has not only drastically improved our work, but it’s been said on more than one occasion that we can “create art from nothing”.
