“Defiance Hall is a remarkable setting for a special event. Having attended a Scottish dinner there, I was amazed at the meticulous renovations that have gone into preserving and repurposing this spacious historic building, once a 1820's sawmill located between Forts Crown Point and Ticonderoga. The attention to detail and quality of the work and interior furnishings are impressive while rustic and comfortable, not to mention the fact that War Cannon Spirits produces fine small batch whiskeys and bourbons in their nearby distillery! Having worked with the owner to help organize the Burns Night dinner, I can also say that the crew is easy and pleasant to work with. I would highly recommend choosing this venue for weddings and special events, it truly is a gem!”

“From an officiant's perspective, I was thoroughly pleased with the experience at The Grand Summit Hotel. I always pay attention to how their staff works together and from start to finish the team demonstrated professionalism, clear communication, and genuine care. They went above and beyond to ensure everyone's experience was good (from vendors to guests and everyone in between). All the thoughtful extra touches stood out. Small unseen gestures speak volumes about the team's attentiveness and commitment to making the day feel effortless. Their interactions were intentional and supportive and I left wishing I had another wedding lined up! I would highly recommend Vail Resorts for your wedding/event needs.”

“Where do I even begin - Stone Garden is a fairytale dream! Every single aspect of our experience, from the first moment we set foot on the property, was perfect! We used Stone Garden as our ‘welcome party’ venue the night before (we had a taco truck come yard games and bar service by Stone Garden), our wedding ceremony and reception venue, our florals, our bartending with custom drinks, and our coordinators. We are SO happy we did. For our wedding, we wanted something outdoors but with a rain plan, with a view on the water, with parking, flexible with our decor ideas, and close to hotels. We got all of this and beyond. Kristen and Frank really make magic happen. They are experts in paying attention to detail, going the extra mile to make your vision come to life, and making you feel important and celebrated. The second we met them we knew we were in good, trustworthy hands. Our wedding dreams included driving up to the ceremony in a 1955 Chevy, disco balls hung over the dance floor, tons of candles and bud vases, an extra cake for a birthday, vintage furniture, a portrait artist, an audio guestbook, and more. All of this was PERFECTLY achieved in the most gloriously beautiful way. IN THE RAIN. We were expecting a drizzle but it totally poured on our wedding day. Kristen and Frank communicated with us up to the final hours to decide how we could make the most of our day, and they were able to pivot and adapt to every single change- including moving furniture and putting sides on the tent. Their team kept us fed, informed, and completely carefree all night long. Our guests cannot stop telling us how beautiful the venue was (the view, the landscaping, the lights, everything!) and how nice and talented all the staff were. Everyone asks me how I found such a gem. We all loved it so much. It felt elegant and cozy at the same time. Every single recommendation for vendors, hotels, transportation -every piece of advice offered to us by Kristen and Frank- was so valuable and impeccable. I will never stop talking about my flowers- Kristen absolutely NAILED my vision and I have preserved all of them in as many ways as I could. Frank made the most gorgeous, delicious drinks for us and we drank them out of our own special glasses we brought from home, and the staff kept them full for us all night long, without us ever once asking!! Kristen’s coordination staff even took photos and videos for us throughout the night, and some of my very favorite keepsakes of the whole wedding are from them. They are angels!!! The whole team!!!!! I cannot recommend Stone Garden enough, I will be raving about it FOREVER.”

“We had our wedding at Scott Farm Orchard and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Suzanne was responsive to emails and made planning so easy that we actually got to enjoy the process instead of stressing about it. The property itself is stunning with so many different backdrops and settings for photos and the ceremony, which gave us tons of options to make the day feel uniquely ours. On the day of, the team was seamless—Noa kept the bar running smoothly, Betsy made sure all our guests felt welcomed and knew where to go, and everyone worked together like they'd done this a hundred times before. We were also thrilled to have access to the Landmark Trust historic buildings nearby for our family to stay in; those beautiful old buildings were the perfect touch and so convenient to the venue. I am a professional photographer and have seen/worked with a lot of venues. Scott Farm exceeded my and my guests expectations. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding”

“We held our wedding at Retreat Farm and it was absolutely perfect! From start to finish, this venue exceeded our expectations in every way. Our weekend began with a field day celebration the day before the wedding. Farmhouse Square was perfect for this, and the staff went above and beyond to help us organize food stations and arrange picnic tables. The staff made themselves available for the entire day and were friendly to our guests which helped set the tone for the entire weekend. Working with Samantha, the venue coordinator, made the planning process so much easier. She was incredibly communicative and patiently answered about a million questions from us. We were one of their Retreat Farm’s first weddings, so there were a few minor administrative hiccups along the way, but I have complete confidence these will be smoothed out for future couples. Samantha’s responsiveness and helpfulness were invaluable. On our wedding day, rain was in the forecast which was very stressful for us leading up to the ceremony which was slated to be held outdoors. We prepared to hold the ceremony inside the barn, which would have been beautiful in its own right, but then, the rain ended up clearing at the last second. Thankfully, the incredible staff had already set up the chairs and arch and managed to move everything back outside within half an hour (literally wiping down every single chair as fast as they could). We ended up with the most breathtaking outdoor ceremony as the clouds parted and the sun literally shone down on us. It was pure magic, and the staff's quick work made it possible. Additionally, the venue's beautiful outdoor spaces provided awesome backdrops for photos so we’re glad we were able to take advantage of them. One of the most unique and memorable aspects of Retreat Farm is the farm animals. We surprised our guests with a surprise donkey ring bearer (that the barn manager, Felipe, took the time to practice walking the aisle with), and during cocktail hour, the open barn allowed guests to interact closely with all the animals. This was hands-down one of the highlights that our guests are still talking about—the pictures that we saw everyone take were priceless. Every single person who works at Retreat Farm was exceptionally kind and professional. From the bartenders who handled the bar service beautifully (and even accommodated our requests for specific drinks on the menu) to the staff directing guests and everyone in between—the team made us feel so well taken care of. It's worth noting that this is more of a DIY venue where you bring your own decorations and coordinate most vendors. We loved this because it allowed us to truly make the wedding our own and put our personal stamp on every detail but recognize that this may not be for everyone. We highly recommend Retreat Farm for couples looking for a unique, beautiful, and flexible venue with character, charm, and the most wonderful staff (and also animals!)”

In 2011 we purchased an old dairy farm in a quiet corner of Harrisville, New Hampshire. We cleared fields, planted orchards and gardens, built barns and a commercial kitchen, boiled maple syrup, raised pigs and sheep, and opened a farm store. Our goal was to create a thriving farm that would serve our family, the community, and visitors like you. Today, that dream is a reality. Mayfair Farm offers a complete special events package that is truly unique. With our inspiring views, welcoming barn, and farm-to-table menu, your family and friends will share a one-of-a-kind experience. Our menu is hand-crafted and ethically produced, and each item is made with the most important ingredient—love. And, as our client, you will enjoy the benefits of flexibility and collaboration as we guide you through each step of the event-planning process. If you can think it up, we would love to help you make it happen. We look forward to sharing our farm with you! Sarah Heffron and Craig Thompson

“The Perfect Combination of Beauty, Comfort, and Efficiency We were married at Mayfair Farm on Labor Day weekend 2025. We had about 130 guests. We had many requirements regarding food, drink, comfort of guests, the ceremony, and meals. It’s hard to imagine a host with greater caring, talent, taste, and efficiency than Sarah, the owner. Everything was perfect, even beyond perfect, like a dream! Facility: Mayfair Farm is a beautiful venue. The custom-designed barn was perfect for dining, dancing, serving, and preparation. The firepit right outside the barn made for memorable gatherings, especially on a chilly evening, and with the fun of preparing S’more’s for the guests over the fire. The scenery is gorgeous, particularly the top-of-the-hill ceremony spot surrounded by New Hampshire hills and mountains. The gorgeous view and natural setting added much to the wedding experience. The short walk up the hill to the ceremony hilltop was easy, and elderly guests were driven up without any issue. The barn and farm have professional kitchens so that preparing and serving a meal for 130 people went off without any issues. There was plenty of parking for guests. There is an AirBnB on-site where we stayed and got ready. It was comfortable and great for the hair/make-up preparations before the ceremony. Sarah made her entire facility available to us for the entire weekend—this made things highly convenient and relaxing. For meals, they helped us arrange for a beautiful tent to be set up right outside the barn, so we could use the barn for dancing. The table set-up was gorgeous, which contributed to a memorable, emotionally touching event. Planning: Sarah is a total professional, with the taste and experience to make our event as perfect as we had hoped for. Interacting with Sarah was a pleasure. She is kind, creative, and deeply cares about our hopes for the day and making them come to fruition. She made terrific suggestions on logistics and food, and was creative and responsive in iterating until we finalized the menus. She specializes in farm-to-table food, with local farmers, and this made everything healthy and delicious. She assisted us with vendors (e.g., flowers, tent, wedding planner, bartender, toilets) who provided excellent services. Sarah has a staff of efficient, trusted people who know just what to do, while at the same time exuding warmth and friendship while working. Whatever tension might be present on a wedding day, these workers diffused it and made everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. This is huge and played a big role in the perfection of our wedding weekend. Day-of Excellence: All of the above contributed to a wedding weekend that seemed effortless for us and our guests, and of course we saw and understood the tremendous amount of teamwork, talent, and effort went on behind the scenes. We felt relaxed, as did our parents and guests. We all enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere and the meaningful, beautiful gathering, ceremony, and celebration. Bottom Line: Mayfair Farm and Sarah provide a specialized offering unlike any other, and at a reasonable price. If you want a wedding in a rural setting, with farm-to-table food prepared to perfection, and a flawless, relaxed ‘vibe’ to the day, look no further. The bonus is that we felt cared for, we saw our vision come to life under Sarah’s supervision, and we saw Sarah’s employees and vendors enthusiastically and efficiently make everything happen perfectly. Highest recommendation.”

“We had the absolute privilege of booking Monarch Farms for our wedding venue this June, and could not be more grateful we did. After admiring Monarch Farms from afar prior to getting engaged, we knew it was the venue of our dreams and was our first priority in wedding planning. Monarch Farms speaks for itself; the natural beauty of the property, the warm and homey touches scattered throughout, the inviting atmosphere, and so much more. It could not have been a better fit for our vision. Aside from the venue itself, Emily could not have been better to work with. From our first communication all the way to the wedding day and beyond, she has been extremely professional, considerate and accommodating of our wants and needs, and such a pleasure all around. “From beginning to end, our experience at Farm Road Estate was absolute perfection. Even the planning process was enjoyable thanks to Kelly and her incredible team, who went above and beyond every step of the way. From setting up Guitar Hero in the speakeasy for our welcome party, to making sure our grandmas walked down the aisle smoothly, to making sure we were always fed during every little gap of the day—the attention to detail and genuine care were unmatched. The venue itself is breathtaking, and every guest couldn’t stop raving about how comfortable the rooms and bedding were. And the food… wow. I had friends telling me they literally licked their plates (politely, of course). Everything was phenomenal. It truly felt like we had all our loved ones together for the most beautiful sleepaway weekend, eating, drinking, laughing, and celebrating. We wish we could go back and relive it all over again. Hearing people talk about our wedding gives us the chance to do just that, and it fills our hearts every single time. To Kelly, Mike (the Guitar Hero master), Lauren, Giselle, Chef Joe, Theresa, Steven, Meg, and every single staff member who worked tirelessly to make our weekend so special. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We will cherish these memories forever. If you’re on the fence about having your wedding here, do it. You will not regret it.”

“We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about The Hermitage Inn and their wedding planners, Gina & Taylor. From start to finish, everything was exactly as we had imagined, and that is entirely thanks to their dedication and genuine care for making our day perfect. It's been almost 3 months and we're still absolutely obsessed with every moment and would not have changed a single thing. From our first call, Gina was so kind and informative and truly a joy to work with. She made the entire process feel effortless. She answered every question with thoughtfulness, and her advice throughout was invaluable. We were so grateful for her organization, calm presence, guidance, and the genuine care she showed us throughout the process. And the venue itself is stunning..the grounds, the inn, the food, the scenery, all of it. And The Hermitage Inn team executed every detail flawlessly. But what truly set our experience apart was how special and cared for we felt as a couple. Every single person there was just SO NICE! It didn't feel like just another wedding to them, it felt uniquely like our wedding, and the staff plus Gina & Taylor made sure it felt that way every step of the way. We feel so lucky that we got to have this experience. We are foodies, so on the food specifically...we still dream about it and our guests still talk about it. While not the big dinner, the housemade chips served at lunch alone are worth talking about. Overall, some of the best food we've had. We can't wait to go back. In fact, several guests have already booked their own stays at the Inn, and we look forward to doing the same. We will be talking about this day for many, many years to come. Not to sound cliché, but truly, if you're looking for a venue where the team genuinely makes you feel special and goes well above and beyond, book at The Hermitage Inn.”

“From the first time we met with Kristen, we were impressed by her transparent and honest communication style. Kristen was extremely professional, empathetic, and timely in all aspects of the planning processing including addressing any issues that came up. Kristen's experience and warm personality made us feel comfortable amidst the whirlwind of wedding day. We couldn't have asked for a better or more attentive planner, we felt like her only couple. During our wedding we had the pleasure of meeting and working with her husband, who was equally kind and supportive with a shared passion and commitment to making couples dreams come to life. We are excited for Kristen as she embarks on this new journey with Milliken Manor, a hidden gem that we highly recommend to any couple looking for an unforgettable wedding experience. The team at Milliken manor made our Wedding Day run seamlessly, it was truly everything we imagined and more!!”

“I cannot say enough good things about the team and the venue of Okemo. My husband and I were married here over the last weekend and it was beyond our highest expectations. We had a fully weekend of parties - Friday welcome party, Saturday summit ceremony with round barn reception, and a breakfast on Sunday morning. The accommodations blew everyone away, the service was seamless, and the grounds were gorgeous. They managed to provide top-tier service and polish while also staying very true to the ski mountain feel, which was perfect for us. There is a beautiful rain plan also, under the stone arch, which is totally unique - so if it is rainy, it's still an epic location. You can tell they regularly invest in this place and keep it nice. There are so many high quality amenities onsite, from the many pools to the gym, the pickleball courts, and of course all the unique activities in the adventure zone, people absolutely loved it. The team though is very impressive. Every step of the way, they were thinking of everything and worked to answer all of our (many) questions and considerations in detail, and they considered everything. the logistics were impeccable, which is a feat for a summit ceremony getting 120 people up and down a chairlift. The food was incredible, and was served quickly to all tables. The round barn had been freshly painted and was lovely. a special thank you to Maggie and Chef Mark, who not only delivered the results but supported and coordinated with us throughout the process, making me and my family feel very confident in the team throughout the stressful planning process. What a fantastic experience, if you're considering it don't hesitate to choose this amazing venue!”

“I cannot say enough positive things about the Rosewood Country Inn as a wedding venue. This venue is special in that you get the entire 11-room inn for the weekend (Fri-Sun), and so we were able to have our closest friends and family staying with us, which was a blast! The inn offers a beautiful country setting on the outside that is perfect for an outdoor ceremony. We held ours at the gazebo in the courtyard, which was surrounded by beautiful trees and scenery that make for gorgeous pictures. The dining hall of the inn hosts the reception, and is perfect for an intimate and stylish dining experience that then morphs a dance floor! The food is excellent (Stan's stuffed french toast can't be missed), not only for the reception but the rehearsal dinner and breakfasts on Sat and Sun. “The Blue Bear Inn was the perfect wedding venue for us! We knew we wanted a venue that allowed dogs, was close to an airport (1 hr) for family traveling, had excellent food, offered beautiful scenery, could house our out-of-town guests, was mostly a one stop shop (with lodging, wedding venue, ceremony site options, day-of-coordination, catering, & cake/desserts), and provided historical romance vibes without being a barn — and the Blue Bear checked every box and then some! Carrie, Bob, and the team gave us such a special wedding weekend in May - they didn't plan the most perfect rainbow, but I know they would’ve if they could!”

Second, the venue was beautiful. The food delicious. And service incredible. The price was exactly what we were looking for: AFFORDABLE. But the best part was Haley. “Where do I even begin? We are still on a high from our wedding day, which took place about three weeks ago. Hildene was nothing short of spectacular. Not only were the incredible views, stunning gardens, and historic ambiance breathtaking, but the entire Hildene team was an absolute joy to work with. For starters, we chose to tour venues around Manchester, and after touring Hildene, it was a no-brainer for us. The private, in-depth tour made us feel as though Theresa and her team were genuinely passionate about the property and their roles. Hildene provides ceremony chairs, reception chairs and tables, and a beautiful setting where you work directly with their florist and catering partners. They also provide day-of coordination. All of this is to say that choosing Hildene means so many decisions and details are already taken care of, which makes the planning process that much easier. Next, I need to rave about the team: Theresa, Carmine, Anne, Nick/Pangaea (the caterer), Peggy/Lily of the Valley (the florist), and anyone else I may have missed. Theresa and the Hildene team made us feel as though we were the only wedding they had that entire year. They dedicated so much time and attention to us. We had MANY questions, especially since we ultimately decided not to work with a planner, and Theresa would spend so much time on the phone with us, patiently walking through every detail and answering all of our questions. Nick and Peggy were also a joy to work with. We made many edits and they were patient throughout all of it. The food was incredible, the tasting was so much fun, and the florals were absolutely beautiful. Peggy is so talented! On the day of the wedding, Theresa stuck by my side and handled everything with SUCH calmness and grace. She never seemed stressed or overwhelmed, which, in turn, helped us feel calm, too. She had everything under control! She even helped me bustle my dress! Our wedding day was a dream come true. We wanted a mountain and garden setting in Vermont, and the Hildene team brought that vision to life. All of our guests told my parents that Hildene was the most unique and stunning venue they had ever seen. Choosing Hildene as our venue was one of the best decisions we made throughout the entire wedding planning process. We cannot thank the entire Hildene team enough for helping make our wedding day so incredibly special. Kudos to the entire Hildene team!”

“We stayed here for our entire wedding weekend, and we had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party here as well. For starters, Morgan is amazing. She was so flexible, easy to work with, and so organized. She is so attuned to the finer details and was always available to answer any questions. She was reliable, and I could feel her genuine sense of excitement for us when she was helping us plan. Nothing felt stressful while planning with Morgan, and she made our experience amazing. The welcome party was so much fun, and they hit the nail on the head. The food was spectacular. Kudos to the Reluctant Panther chef, as everything was absolutely mouthwatering. From the passed hors d'oeuvres to the main meal, it was some of the best food I've ever had. The inn itself is so beautiful. Each room has its own sense of self and such striking character. You really feel like you're in a Vermont inn rather than a commercial hotel. The bathroom in every single room is ginormous, with so much space. And don't even get me started on the breakfast picnic baskets! My friends and I couldn't get over how cute they were. Such a special touch for them to be delivered to each room as well. We love it here and can't wait to visit in the future! I would highly recommend staying here or planning any event here.”

“Working at the Wilburton Inn providing florals for their couples is a joy! The staff is so helpful and caring about performing their positions with perfection. This includes Meesha, in charge of helping the couples with their planning and helping to coordinate their wedding weekend, and so much more, to Tajlei and Melissa, who are owners and Innkeepers, hands on and involved. The chef and his kitchen staff, the wait staff/bartending staff, the ground keepers/gardeners, the handy man who is also part of the staff that does all the wedding set up. I may have missed a department, but, the bottom line is when working there, one feels like family. A family whose sole objective is to give 100% to every wedding, every event. The grounds are so naturally beautiful and the Inn has a personality of it's own that you will not find anywhere else! There is such an open mindedness and open hearted approach to everything. “The Inn at Pleasant Lake had a bit of a delayed and disorganized communication style leading up to our wedding day. While the grounds and gardens were quite nice, the overall presentation and upkeep could have been better. The staff did spread mums around and were accommodating, but they seemed unprepared to handle the larger size of our wedding. The venue has a lot of potential to be a great wedding spot, but they need a more organized staff that can deliver on their promises. Overall, the experience was beautiful and we would recommend it.”
