The Christian Royer House was the best venue for my wedding! What Michelle & Jerry offer for their couples goes above and beyond anything else I've seen offered by other wedding venues & owners. They provide decorations, ceremony centerpieces, two separate floors for the bridal party to get ready, a honeymoon cabin, and a detailed planner with tips and tricks to help you plan a wedding according to their venue. The venue is gorgeous and the fountain in the background made the ceremony so peaceful and romantic. We absolutely loved how our wedding turned out and the support Michelle & Jerry gave us was so helpful! Booking them was the best decision we made during the wedding process and highly recommend 100%!

We worked with Sarah Rosier, proprietor of Sleeping Bee Designs, for our wedding in May 2025 at Attaboy Barrel House in Frederick, MD and the experience was absolutely fantastic! Without hesitation, we would recommend Sarah and her team to any couple getting married in the DMV area. Our wedding faced weather complications at the last minute, but because of Sarah’s planning, coordination, relationships with vendors, and upbeat attitude, the day turned out even better than we had dreamed! We met with Sarah for monthly planning sessions, and she was always willing to be flexible if we needed to reschedule or meet for longer than planned. We knew what general vibe we wanted for our wedding, but did not have a specific theme or vendors in mind. Based on her years of experience in the business, Sarah recommended 3-4 vendor options to us for each category that fit our vision and budget, and all of whom were used to working with one another and with Sarah, so they were able to pull off a flawless event! In the end, we made the final vendor decisions based on her recommendations, but her recommendations totally removed the guesswork for us. We never, ever felt as if we were being pushed in any one direction; rather, we always felt that Sarah had our best interests at heart. Sarah has a great memory and is very organized, so she helped keep us on track and made sure there were no loose ends. The master to-do list template she provided kept us on task and helped us break up larger tasks in a manageable way. She was also conscious of our budget throughout the process, foresaw logistical issues ahead of time to save us time and money, and helped suggest places where we could reasonably cut costs (as well as emphasizing to us which places required *not* cutting corners on cost to ensure a seamless event). One important value of hiring Sarah is her relationship with vendors in the area, and ability to communicate with them on the couple’s behalf. This made it so much easier to plan and saved us time. Sarah creates a detailed timeline for the wedding day and takes care of coordinating it with vendors and staff to ensure everyone is on task and on the same page about how the day will go. She was also excellent at communicating with our wedding party. Everything went so smoothly on the actual day! We also contracted with Sarah for our flowers/decor. We told Sarah we wanted to spend less money on this element and adhere to minimalist decoration, and Sarah identified a really fun and colorful approach using growlers, bunny tails, and candles. We loved the way it looked on the day! Finally, we were blown away by how Sarah handled the last minute challenges involved when the weather looked like it wouldn’t cooperate. We had planned to do our ceremony outdoors, but needed to make a rain call 48 hours in advance. Prior to the rain call, Sarah had already marshaled our vendors together to talk through contingencies, drafted an alternate schedule, and put together a decoration plan for our indoor ceremony location. We felt so taken care of and the extra effort helped make us feel comfortable with changing plans last minute. Our wedding party and family members even keep talking about how amazing she was to work with. Sarah is the best at what she does! Thank you, Sarah!

Niko & Mary were wonderful to work with. They truly made our dream wedding come to life. They were attentive - always answering our questions and making sure everything ran as smoothly as possible. Food: Booking with Union Mills gave us the freedom to create the food experience we truly wanted. We went with a Filipino-inspired menu that combined many of our favorite dishes, and Niko was incredibly knowledgeable about different cultural cuisines. He offered wonderful selections and made the process so enjoyable. The pizza options were endless and allowed us to get creative as well! Drinks: The drinks were out of this world. We loved the variety of drink and beer options they provided. We really appreciated that they went the extra mile to source specific beers we requested — even getting one of our favorites on tap just for us! Location: The location of Union Mills is unbeatable. Its walkability to downtown Frederick and nearby bars was one of the main reasons we chose it. Since many of our guests were traveling from out of state or even out of the country, we wanted them to experience the true charm of Frederick, Maryland. Union Mills offered the perfect accessibility for our guests both before and after the wedding. Parking: Mary and Niko provided detailed maps to help our guests find parking easily. There’s plenty of parking available around Union Mills, and they were able to reserve a limited number of spots for us, which was so helpful. Communication: Mary and Niko were always responsive and easy to reach, whether by text or email. From our experience, they replied very quickly via text, which was perfect for quick questions. For more detailed inquiries about logistics or planning, email communication worked great. Their responsiveness made the planning process smooth and stress-free. Suggestions: The only thing we would have appreciated was a more streamlined way to receive quotes and itemized details. One of our other vendors used an event management app called A Perfect Venue, which made tracking and organizing everything really easy. Besides that, we were completely happy with everything Union Mills had to offer! Overall, we highly recommend working with Union Mills — you won’t regret it. We had such a wonderful, unforgettable experience! Thank you for your creativity, your thoughtful menu suggestions, and for executing everything so perfectly. We still dream about the food to this day and feel so lucky to have experienced such a wonderful celebration with the two of you.

I booked Margo as my wedding hair stylist and she was amazing!! Her professionalism and bubbly personality made my wedding morning stress-free, and she gave me the hair style of my dreams I first booked a hair trial with Margo about a year ahead of my wedding. From the start, she was communicative, and my trial session was a lot of fun. She answered a ton of my questions about timeline, hair styles, and more. She also sent me extra reference photos when I requested them to prepare for my bridesmaids. Margo is also incredibly fast. We had a 12pm finish time, and I had 5 bridesmaids plus myself that needed their hair done. She arrived at 7:30AM and completed everyone’s hair in a timely manner. My bridesmaids had hair ranging from very naturally curly and thick to extremely straight and hard to hold a curl. Every single one of the girls’ hair held up for the entire day over 12 hours, and everyone was delighted with their chosen styles! My hair was still looking fantastic after a lot of dancing (see the attached photo of me at top golf at the end of the night!) I highly recommend Margo for an entirely stress-free morning getting ready for your wedding, and if you want you and your bridesmaids looking beautiful for the entire day. Her and her team at The Whole Story are amazing!!!

Caboose Farm is a beautiful, rustic wedding venue located in Sabillasville, Maryland (just north of Frederick, MD) that blends beautiful scenery with convenient accommodations. Located in close proximity to Baltimore; Washington, D.C.; and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the venue offers a charming 220-acre space with access to attractions such as golf, wineries, and hiking. Its scenery also provides a beautiful backdrop for events, with scenic wedding sites to choose from, countryside barn, and pastoral farms and pastures. Inside the event buildling we can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests for a seated dinner. For groups over 150, we would have to bring in a tent for the dinner portion of the evening. The property offers seven fully furnished houses on its premises that can, collectively, accommodate 97 guests. We had our wedding at Caboose Farm on October 25, 2025, and it was truly the most perfect day. One of the biggest reasons we chose this venue was the layout and how relaxed and easy everything felt from the start. We rented five of the houses on the property for the weekend, which allowed our families to stay together in big groups. It made the entire experience feel like a getaway, and having our house right next door to the event space was incredibly convenient. We rented the property for Friday and Saturday, held our rehearsal on Friday, and our wedding on Saturday. We had access to the event barn both days without any issues, which made setting up and settling in stress free. Our ceremony was in the woods, and it felt like something out of a dream. The foliage was beautiful and made for amazing pictures. Guests could walk or take the tractor wagon to the ceremony spot, which everyone loved. We added blankets to the wagon, and guests brought their drinks for a fun ride out. They also recently added a field of wildflowers on the property, and some of my favorite photos were taken there. A golf cart was available to help two of our guests who needed extra support get to and from the ceremony site comfortably. Cocktail hour was outside on the terrace that is connected to the event barn. The hanging lights made it feel romantic and cozy, and guests could step inside if they got chilly. The bar area and theatre room were right inside through a double door, and the theatre room was perfect for playing a slideshow of us. We were also able to have our dogs with us both days, which meant so much. Colby, the property manager, was incredible from start to finish. He made sure we were taken care of and that everything ran smoothly. The staff were also incredibly kind and helpful, which made the whole weekend feel effortless. Any time a small question or worry came up, Colby stepped in and handled it. I remember talking through whether our caterer needed to pre cut fruit for our specialty cocktails, and he immediately said their bartender could take care of it the night before. He also kept an eye on the weather and checked in with me about moving our rehearsal dinner indoors if needed. Little things like that helped me get through the weekend with so much less stress. The venue provided the ceremony arch, coolers for pre ceremony drinks, all the tables, chairs, linens, and napkins. We had 113 guests, and the indoor reception space fit everyone perfectly without feeling tight or crowded. Everything from the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception flowed beautifully. Caboose Farm gave us a wedding weekend we will never forget, and I truly cannot recommend it highly enough.

Hiring Mike as our wedding DJ was one of the best decisions we made!! From our first meeting, Mike was professional and friendly, providing us with a lot of information and answering all of our questions. It helped us keep track of what to prepare and how to plan the timeline of our day since we didn't have a wedding planner. Mike also came to an in person meeting with our venue so he could be prepared for the wedding day, and he was completely set up and ready when we arrived for cocktail hour and dinner. The wedding day could not have gone better: not only was Mike on point with all the music choices we made, he created an excellent vibe for our guests. We had a lot of families with young adults and older parents, and Mike played music that appealed to both crowds. His emcee skills are excellent, and he was flexible with a few adjustments to the timeline throughout the night. Mike’s son JC worked our photobooth, and he was just as professional and friendly. His upbeat attitude and excitement for the day was well appreciated, and all of our guests were happy with their photobooth experiences. If you want a smooth, efficient wedding day with top tier vibes, Mike is the guy to hire!!

Words do not do justice to how amazing our experience was with Livvy! I’ve sat down to write a review at least 5 times but nothing seems good enough. From the initial phone call to getting our teaser video working with her was a DREAM! And I expect nothing less as we get all the final deliverables in the next few months. I went back and forth with having a wedding video but I am so glad we decided to do it and absolutely ecstatic Livvy was who we decided to go with!! Hands down the best decision!! I have watched our teaser AT LEAST 1,000 times since she sent it to us. The way she captured not only our day but our personalities in the videos are simply beautiful. She was so professional throughout the whole process and I felt heard and understood. Especially on the day of! Livvy was there for all the moments, but you wouldn’t even know it! She does an amazing job of just letting us be and casually being in the background capturing those authentic/intimate moments while balancing the way she jumps in to get the posed/styled shots. Jon was highly recommended by our wedding planner (Lissa Marie Weddings and Events), and we immediately hired him after our initial meeting. It really says something when other vendors only have great things to say! He did such a wonderful job on our wedding day and really kepted everything flowing smoothly with no hiccups. Our ceremony sounds was absolutely perfect and the microphones were sooo easy to use and captured all the sound perfectly. Jon was great at making announcements, (even though it wasn't planned) like when he had to tell people to go to cocktail hour. We also had a photobooth package with him and the attendant did such a great job running the booth. It was definitely the most popular event and our families still raves about the pictures they took! From the moment we met Jon, he was just so easy to talk to and knew exactly what we wanted for the day when we shared our vision. Jon is so professional, supportive, and positive, and I can't imagine having someone else on our special day. He is definitely worth the money and I would hire him again without a doubt for any event!

We can't say enough about how happy we are in having chosen Ostertag as our wedding venue. The grounds are stunning, with various places around the site for ceremonies, photo ops, celebrations, preparation, and beyond. The staff was fantastic to work with. Donna was so kind and flexible, and Terry, our coordinator, was on top of every detail. She helped us make the day exactly what we wanted, and was accommodating to any request to help us customize our multi-cultural wedding day. Jessica was a joy to work with! She understood what I wanted and totally delivered. So professional and friendly... try angel. I ordered my bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres from Brook Hill Flowers, but got 2 DIY boxes of flowers from Wegman's in Frederick. However, my BFFs who helped me organize and decorate my wedding (at my home) were all thumbs the morning of and needed help putting all the vases together. When Jessica came to drop off the bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres, she asked if there was anything she could help with and my MOH ran over and asked for her help. Maryland National was the PERFECT venue for our wedding! From the very beginning, Reghan and the whole team were incredible. Reghan went above and beyond to help us plan everything – she was so easy to work with and always had the best recommendations. I loved how easy it was to communicate with her through email. We got married at our church, but had the reception at Maryland National. They even let us use the club to get ready since our church didn't have a space! The girls got ready upstairs, and the guys used the locker rooms, which was amazing for getting-ready photos. Plus, the food was delicious! What we loved most was that we didn't have to set up or clean up anything – Maryland National took care of it all. We didn't even have to take decorations home the night of the wedding! We could pick them up the next day. It was the most perfect day, and we can't thank Reghan and the staff enough. Seriously, if you're looking for an amazing venue, this is it!
