“This lady is a god damned delight. Early in the planning process, my mother died and it totally sapped me of any appetite for planning. I felt overwhelmed, but when we hired Sarah she helped us turn it all around. She held our hands through the hard part and then helped us stay on task and organized when our energy and excitement came back. She helped us navigate being out of the country for 3 of the six months prior to the wedding. She already had experience and relationships with most of our vendors, which helped those contracts go more smoothly and meant less management from us was required. She was 100% ready to get behind any project we could come up with — she supported our vision like it was her own. Whenever I asked her to find someone who could bring an idea to life, she always did so quickly and often with options to choose from. Her depth of connections meant that when I needed a new photographer with just six weeks to go, she was able to give me at least ten available and talented options in 24 hours. She is a wedding planner pro. Most importantly, she is just a lot of FUN and FUNNY. We enjoyed spending time with her on our monthly check in calls, at tastings, walk throughs, and finally the weekend of the wedding itself. She’s a joyful, quirky, nonjudgmental person who really loves weddings and helping couples have the day of their dreams. She is an LGBTQ affirming vendor which is obviously very important to us as a queer couple. She was extremely RESPONSIVE to all communication and I don’t think I ever waited more than 24 hours to hear back from her. Her planning expertise prior to the actual weekend was invaluable, but she really was our angel during the wedding weekend. “Unlike some other reviews I’ve written, this is a very easy one to write because of how great our experience was with Caroline and her assistant. Now that we’re on the other side of our wedding I can say hands down hiring Caroline was one of if not the best decision we made during the process. We both can not recommend her more. One of the best aspects of working with her is that she will streamline and simplify the process, she’s also a great consultant resource for the do’s and don’ts of wedding planning. Despite having many balls up in the air she is an excellent communicator. She responds back in a timely manner even when she is busy working with other clients. Moreover, her assistance the day of the wedding was critical to its success. We actually finished our wedding 30ish minutes ahead of schedule which gave us more time for the reception. If that doesn’t say good project management skills I don’t what does. That feat was made more impressive because we had a Hindu ceremony and Christian one, making it a very long day. “Stop looking...THIS is where you should have your wedding! We weren’t sure what vibe we wanted for our wedding at first, but the moment we walked into Union Mills, we knew it was the right choice. The venue is gorgeous, inside and out—the pictures truly speak for themselves—and it’s perfectly located: walking distance to everything Frederick has to offer, yet super convenient for guests driving in. The part that truly sold us: the food. Niko will literally make anything you want. We chose a fairly traditional dinner, but he added incredible twists that made it unforgettable, like lavender honey butter with our bread assortment, pepitas and pickled onions in our watermelon salad, and the most delicious herb-crusted potatoes (people are still raving about them) alongside our chimichurri steak. Both Mary and Niko go above and beyond to deliver exceptional service. Just a few examples: they let me store my dress in the bridal suite 48 hours before the wedding, added a non-alcoholic prosecco to our getting-ready spread when they heard two of my bridesmaids were pregnant, tracked down porters for my mother-in-law (her favorite), got my husband a special bottle of whiskey for the evening, and even fine-tuned my signature cocktail (a watermelon margarita) the very morning of the wedding to make sure it was perfect. On top of that, their staff was constantly checking on us throughout the entire night to make sure we were having the best time...and we absolutely were. We truly couldn’t recommend a better venue. Location, ambiance, food, service...Union Mills has it all. We only wish we could get married here every weekend!”

“My wife and I attended a wedding at Caboose Farm this past weekend and were extremely impressed. We own an event hosting company and tend to have a hard time just enjoying events for this reason, but this place changed that. Couple bullet points from an industry professional: - Attention to detail 5 star. See photos of the NAPKIN FOLDS! Been in the industry over 30 years and thought I had seen it all but a suit jacket with boutineer folded from a napkin? Bride had a bouquet of flowers with flower made from a napkin folded in. Bravo. Above and beyond. - Bathrooms 5 star. People under appreciate bathrooms. This place was not only clean but the staff was very on top of supplies and cleaning. Impressive display of pride in their venue. - The facility itself was possibly once a bank barn. Today it is a two story Mountain Lodge, Ski Chalet sort of vibe, with Flagstone, refurbished raw wood beams, richly stained hardwood furnishings and a traditional pub style bar. 5 star again. - The food was outstanding which was also unexpected given how far out we were. No offense to rural venues but many provide bare bones and its almost always just BBQ. Not this place. 5 star plus. Extra nod to the staff for knowing the ingredients so well for my gluten allergic wife. It should be noted that this venue prepared for and hosted this wedding of around 100 guests, with only a week notice from what we understand. Our friend's daughter's original venue had burst frozen pipes resulting in a scramble to find a new place. This Caboose Farm made an amazing day with moments notice. Speaks even greater volumes of them. Whatever it cost - the money was well spent. 5 stars all around.”

Caboose Farm is a beautiful, rustic wedding venue located in Sabillasville, Maryland (just north of Frederick, MD) that blends beautiful scenery with convenient accommodations. Located in close proximity to Baltimore; Washington, D.C.; and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the venue offers a charming 220-acre space with access to attractions such as golf, wineries, and hiking. Its scenery also provides a beautiful backdrop for events, with scenic wedding sites to choose from, countryside barn, and pastoral farms and pastures. Inside the event buildling we can comfortably accommodate up to 150 guests for a seated dinner. For groups over 150, we would have to bring in a tent for the dinner portion of the evening. The property offers seven fully furnished houses on its premises that can, collectively, accommodate 97 guests. The houses offer you the opportunity to spend a full weekend with your friends and family while celebrating your special day with those you love!

“From our first meeting, Marcos at The Dapper DJs understood exactly what we were going for with our non-traditional wedding vision. He met with us multiple times to nail down every detail and showed up on the day with that signature Dapper energy we loved. Marcos kept the vibe flowing perfectly throughout the night, reading the room and adjusting the energy to match what our guests needed in each moment. His song selections were spot on and got everyone dancing, which honestly made our whole day feel like a celebration rather than just a party. He was incredibly flexible and professional the entire time, from planning through the last song which he had to do impromptu to flex our timing. “Christopher, an attorney in NY- NJ and I, a Chiropractor in the Virgin Islands, are very busy with our careers. It was difficult planning a wedding, so we required vendors that are easy to work with. Mike always answered our emails and texts and returned phone calls ASAP. We reviewed different DJ's and selected Mike because we wanted Latin Caribbean music plus American music for our entertainment. We put together a last-minute wedding reception plan, we sent the recommendations to Mike, and he worked everything perfectly. I ordered my bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres from Brook Hill Flowers, but got 2 DIY boxes of flowers from Wegman's in Frederick. However, my BFFs who helped me organize and decorate my wedding (at my home) were all thumbs the morning of and needed help putting all the vases together. When Jessica came to drop off the bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres, she asked if there was anything she could help with and my MOH ran over and asked for her help. The trial we did beforehand was extremely helpful to visualize the look I wanted for the big day, and were extremely responsive to feedback for tweaks and adjustments.
