When I am not behind the camera or editing photos, I enjoy short Uber rides to bottomless brunch on the weekends; right now mimosas and I kinda have a thing going on! I have a special relationship with bourbon and FIRMLY believe in putting food on the grill during late afternoons should be the norm. I am blessed to be married to the happiest person on earth (I am so serious), who just happens to double as my favorite person. She keeps me grounded and never fails to remind me how great she is.

Wow can’t say enough amazing things about this photographer, he truly was one of the highlights of our wedding. Don’t walk to book him run! He was super focused, detail orientated, bilingual, fun and laid back. He captured so many incredible behind the scene moments and my family kept saying we didn’t even see him take that picture. We were nervous about not knowing how to pose. He made us so comfortable and had amazing poses. He captured intimate moments of our families reactions during the ceremony, speeches and partying. He helped the day flow so well and we couldn’t believe how amazing the pictures were. The turn around time for the pictures was also super fast. We had a bad experience with a photographer prior who ended up being a scammer and he truly saved our wedding day!! Thank you!

Precious Pics White Glove

Washington, DC
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,000

With over ten years of experience, Precious Pics is proud to have made many brides’ days easier to remember by producing beautiful wedding photos and films. We are professionals at everything that we do and stay connected with couples before and after the Big Day. We help with your timelines, design packages specifically for your personal needs, and never surprise you with fees or hidden expenses.

Precious Pics White Glove was an amazing wedding photography vendor for our special day. Their communication style was very communicative. We really appreciated how their white glove concierge stayed on top of things and assisted us throughout the process. The quality of their work and value was awesome. The photos came out exactly as we wanted, and the video was even longer than we expected. Their concierge did our timeline and assisted with a lot of arrangements, providing advice that even our planner didn't give. Overall, this is a great company that I highly recommend using. They work with top photographers and have affordable prices compared to others in the area.

Sharon Natoli Photography

Washington, DC
  • Photojournalistic style

Hi there! I’m Sharon! I am a long-time professional photographer, a former award-winning photojournalist, and an official photographer for the Canadian Embassy. I love photographing weddings and I provide beautiful, bold, and romantic images for my couples to treasure forever.

Awarded Best of Zola
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sharon! From our very first meeting, she demonstrated an incredible attention to detail and thoroughness that put my anxious bride-heart at ease. Together, we created a detailed shot list with us beforehand, scouted our venue for the best photo opportunities, and somehow managed to capture every meaningful moment of our special. Her mastery of natural lighting was absolutely magical. The venue had challenging lighting, but Sharon brought everything we needed to capture all skin tones! Even at the reception, she knew exactly how to work with the existing light to create warm, flattering portraits that made everyone look their absolute best. What truly sets her apart is her tenacity to get "the shot." The final gallery exceeded our wildest expectations - a perfect blend of posed portraits, candid emotional moments, and artistic detail shots that tell the complete story of our wedding day. And here's the sweetest bonus - she made us cookies! She showed up to our final gallery reveal with chocolate chip cookies and gifted us with several photos done on metal. Talk about going above and beyond!

Hi! My name is Steve. I do visual storytelling. I’m married with three kids and in my spare time I record music and build things. I've been filming and photographing weddings since 2009. I love travel and getting to know unique couples.

From the moment we reached out to Birchfields, their communication was quick, thorough, and sincere. Chris Ferenzi Photography

5.0

Washington, DC
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,600

Hey, I'm Chris! Dog-lover, latte-lover, gym-lover, and cookie-lover I justify the cookies by going to the gym. One of my life goals is to have enough dogs (dachshunds and corgis) to create a sled team. I will use this sled team to pull myself around while shooting your wedding. I’m joking, unless you really want me to, in which maybe WE should get married.

Awarded Best of Zola
When reviewing my wedding photos that Chris did, I am continuously grateful that we chose him to do our photography. Not only did the photos come out spectacular, he made us so comfortable throughout the process. Anyone seeing his finished product can see that he’s talented. Yet one misses in the photos is the man behind the camera who truly went out of his way to be a solid rock for a day that can be chaotic at times. He really felt like family during our wedding day and so seamlessly fit in with all our friends and family invited. I would, and have, recommended him again and again to other couples getting married. You won’t regret it.

Fourth Photography, LLC

Washington, DC
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $1,299

I'm William, a dedicated and passionate photographer/videographer based in Washington, DC. My love of photography was born out of my love of travel. While exploring other countries and cultures, I was using my phone to document the people that I met and the places that I have been. This led me to buy my first professional-level camera; it has been with me ever since. I consider my photography style to be timeless. When I'm not behind the lens, you'll find me at my local movie theater or spending quality time with my family and friends.

Awarded Best of Zola
We had a small and simple wedding but wanted some good pictures. William was very professional, and the pictures are amazing! They absolutely capture the day just as we remember it. The online gallery is very easy to use and William delivered us the pictures very quickly.

Mark Joven Photography

5.0

Washington, DC
  • Photojournalistic style

Hey I’m Mark! A photographer and videographer based in Washington, DC, originally from sunny central Florida. I’ve been honored to have my personal creative work featured in Stencil Magazine and The Phoblographer. With experience ranging from Disney’s Photopass program to weddings, events, and even automotive photography, I bring a diverse skill set to every shoot. My passion for capturing moments and my technical expertise in both photography and videography ensure that each session is tailored to create timeless, captivating imagery.

We found "Mark Joven Photography" through my fiancé who worked with him before during group trips with his friends. I really liked the photos he took we booked him for our engagement photos and he did NOT disappoint at ALL! He brought two assists with him and spent 2 days taking photos for us at multiple locations of our choosing! Mark was very professional and made each day go by seamlessly! We hung out like old friends and made a day of Magic Kingdom after taking our photos at our favorite places in the park! We got all our shots back within a week of taking them and they were all so beautiful I cried! They are some of the best pictures I’ve ever had! We decided to hire him for our wedding as a videographer and backup photographer should we need him! Also his prices are SUPER reasonable and affordable! If you’re looking to book him I wouldn’t hesitate! I’m pretty sure we’re gonna use him for future milestones! Mark is definitely a 10/10 and as a former photographer myself I am VERY picky when it comes to my photography so I can say I don’t say 10/10 unless i truly mean it!!

Nadine Nasby Photography

5.0

Washington, DC
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,075

I am an editorial wedding photographer who is passionate about documenting authentic moments from your wedding as well as fine art classic portraits. Aside from memorable photographs, I believe every couple wants a wedding photographer to be a trusted partner and someone that can add value.

Awarded Best of Zola
There are good photographers. There are great photographers. And then, there is Nadine Nasby—an artist so gifted, so intuitively connected to human emotion, that her work transcends photography entirely and enters the realm of pure magic. On October 18, 2025, in the heart of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Nadine did more than capture a wedding—she bottled time. She transformed our ceremony and reception into something that can only be described as a visual love poem, where every frame whispered the sacred, unspoken language of our hearts. From the very first click of her shutter, Nadine became part of our story—not as an observer, but as a translator of emotion. She saw what others might overlook: the trembling hands before the vows, the tear that fell silently onto lace, the way sunlight danced through the trees as if heaven itself was celebrating with us. She captured laughter that still echoes when we look at her photos, glances that feel eternal, and joy so palpable you can almost hear it. Her photographs are not just images. They are portals—each one pulling us back into that golden October air, where love felt tangible and the world seemed to stand still just for us. The tones, the lighting, the composition—every detail was sculpted with such care that each photo feels alive. You can almost smell the flowers, feel the warmth, and hear the music all over again. Nadine’s artistry lies in her ability to marry technical mastery with emotional intuition. She doesn’t simply take pictures; she paints with light. She feels before she shoots. And because of that, her work carries a soulfulness that no editing software could ever replicate. It’s as though she channels the very heartbeat of the day into every frame. Her presence was equally extraordinary—calm yet confident, joyful yet grounded. She moved through the day like a gentle breeze, always there, yet never intrusive. Guests adored her energy; she made even the most camera-shy person feel effortlessly beautiful. She managed to direct large group shots with grace and humor, yet the candids—oh, the candids—feel as though they were captured by someone who had been part of our family all along. When we received our gallery, we wept. Truly wept. Because Nadine hadn’t merely given us photos—she gave us our love, preserved forever. The way she captured our first look, the sparkle in my husband’s eyes, the laughter during toasts, the dance floor euphoria under twinkling lights—it was all there. Every heartbeat. Every emotion. Every ounce of the fairytale we lived that day. There is something timeless about her art. These aren’t pictures that will fade with trends; they are heirlooms—images that our children and grandchildren will hold one day, and feel the love that started it all. Nadine doesn’t just photograph weddings; she immortalizes souls in love. To anyone searching for the right photographer, stop searching. You’ve found her. Nadine Nasby isn’t simply the best in Washington, D.C.—she’s a world-class storyteller whose work will make you believe in love all over again. When I look at our photos, I don’t just see what the day looked like—I feel what it meant. And that… that is the rarest gift an artist can give. Nadine Nasby Photography didn’t just capture our wedding. She captured our hearts. Forever.

Natasha Lamalle Photography

5.0

Washington, DC
  • Photojournalistic style

The best way to tell honest stories is through keen observation. How do I know? Because I spent 15 years as a journalist before becoming a wedding photographer. By paying attention to the ways you interact with your loved ones, I capture the in-between moments that will, one day, be significant. And using a trained eye and subtle approach, I do so unobtrusively.

Awarded Best of Zola
Natasha was the first vendor we hired after choosing our venue. She is astonishing. She seamlessly blends into the crowd to take photos that capture the essence of your wedding and always manages to find the perfect picture that will make you cry, laugh, and then cry again. She has a remarkable eye. If you want to get away from stilted formal shots and remember and celebrate the actual day of your wedding, work with Natasha. She makes the entire wedding process a joy, from the initial meeting with her to the date night she set up for you to view your photos. She also does "slice of life" engagement shoots which can be a fun and casual date night that she captures with her incredible camera. Everyone has been blown away by the quality of the pictures. There is a reason that she is a top world wedding photographer. I trust Natasha completely. If you are not interested in classic boring posed photos, you can do no better than to hire Natasha Lamalle immediately. She is a true artist with a camera. You will fall in love over and over again through her photos.

Danielle Real Photography

Washington, DC

  • Starts at $7,000

Hi - I'm Danielle. A wife. A mom to three wonderful children. A wedding photographer. I've been shooting weddings since 2010. 300++ weddings and counting. I love working with natural light, real moments, and images with energy and emotion. I would love the privilege of hearing your love story. If you'd like to inquire, please email or call to set up an interview.!

We hired Danielle Real for our engagement and wedding photos. She is a preferred vendor of District Winery, where we got married, and it was easy to see why. She’s a true professional and a master at photography. She made us feel at ease during our engagement photos by helping us choose the outfits that would work best with the setting and teaching us how to pose. On the day of our wedding, she was prompt and attentive. As a result of our productive planning meeting about a month before our wedding, she had a list of all the photos we wanted (most because of her great suggestions!) and we sailed right thru them. Bonus: she is a pro people-wrangler. She also knows the exact right spots for each kind of photos at District Winery which helped moved things along so much that we achieved our goal of not having to take any photos during cocktail hour so we could enjoy it too! We just finished going through all of our wedding photos and could not be happier - so many to love!

Mason Photography

The biggest failure at the end of our lives would be trading our intimacy for our fears in light of playing it safe. This season of your lives may make you feel unwelcome and even excluded as dive into your wedding research. Listen to this: No matter where you’re from, who you pray to, what you weigh, who you voted for or who you love; who you are and who you’re becoming as individuals and as a whole are what matter to us most. We're a team of people loving, color-addicted, and moment-captured wedding photographers based in DC with over 300 weddings of experience. We've shot stories in over 20 countries and 30 states.

Adam is incredible all around and we were so grateful to have him for our wedding! As a same-sex couple that does not particularly enjoy being photographed, we were most worried about our photographer. Adam's superpower is making you feel relaxed and natural - he knew how to pose us without trying to make us do heteronormative poses, he knew how to keep us laughing and comfortable, our entire wedding party loved him, and the end result was magical pictures. Adam is great at getting to know what specifically is important to you in your pictures and he has no problem running interference with family if necessary on wedding day - both of our families can be a bit chaotic and he did great at keeping 'family photo time' efficient. We had previously done engagement photos with him and it genuinely felt like 'oh there's our friend Adam running around taking pictures' on wedding day. We did not book a second shooter but felt that he was able to capture everything that we wanted.

"You just have to live, and life will give you pictures." The first time I saw the work of Henri Cartier-Bresson, I knew photography was my calling. His philosophy shapes the way I approach weddings—I want you to be fully present, soaking in every moment of your day. When you're enjoying yourselves, celebrating your love, and having the best day of your lives, the most beautiful and authentic photographs naturally follow.

If you’re looking for a wedding photographer in the DC area, stop and boom James immediately! We really liked James from the first time we saw his portfolio online, and felt very confident after our first call with him that we had found the photographer we wanted to work with. He was really thoughtful in sending us sample galleries from weddings he had done that were in similar venues to ours. We could not have made a better choice! He was good at communicating and working out details prior to the wedding, even scouting out potential locations in case of rain in the forecast. On the day itself he was fantastic and provided just the right amount of direction to get good shots while putting everyone at ease. He also captured all the special candid moments and I still don’t know how he managed to get so many different angles and shots during the ceremony. We also absolutely loved the video slideshow he did with our speeches and the photos. We’ll always treasure the stunning photos we have from our wedding and couldn’t recommend James more highly!

Hi! I'm Nina and I run Ivy & Quartz photography! I shot my first wedding in 2013, but my journey with photography began long before that. When I was about 10 years old, my dad gave me a camera and I quickly became obsessed. My intrigue continued to grow over the years and I went on to earn my BA in Studio Art , Photography, from the University of Virginia. After graduating I worked as a portrait photographer and decided to pursue and earn my MFA in Imaging Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Your images will capture your day in its entirety: the spontaneous joy, the precious family photos, the experience you created for your guests. Less posing. Less fussing. More celebrating.

Hiring Kelly was absolutely one of the best decisions that we made for our wedding and we can’t recommend her highly enough. She spent so much time getting to know us before the wedding, and our photos very clearly reflect her attention to capturing what was important to us. We really wanted to see the joy and breadth of emotions of the day and wanted photos that reflected our wedding as vibrant and loving, and that shines through in every photo!! Kelly is also so personable and brings such a wonderful energy to all parts of the process which made us feel so comfortable and so happy to have her with us! In addition to creating a photography schedule that was invaluable and that we shaped the rest of the schedule around, she made sure to note people’s accessibility needs and to work with us closely on comfort for everyone as we had a lot of access needs. She answered every question we had happily and was just such a wonderful part of our day!! She also did our engagement photos at Great Falls and they turned out just so gorgeous. I had a lot of anxiety about how I would feel about the photos as a plus size bride and Kelly listened to my concerns and made me so comfortable and I’m so so thrilled with the photos and feel gorgeous in all of them, which I'm very grateful for!

Our pictures turned out perfectly. They do a great job of capturing both the big moments and candid ones. We look back on our pictures so fondly! My passion for photography grew when my daughter, Lotus, was born in 2004 and I began documenting her childhood with an eye toward catching each irreplaceable moment. Soon, friends and then friends of friends asked me to photograph their children and families. Before long, I was documenting the lives and milestones of people all over the DMV area. I realized how happy I was connecting with people and capturing special moments, and so I launched Lotus Photography in 2012 - named for my first muse. I captured my first wedding in 2016 and I was instantly in love with being a wedding photographer!

Georgette was amazing. We vibes right away because she was so enthusiastic and friendly. She checked in regular, was on time for every call and even reached out to remind me that we should check in. She wished me a happy wedding day the morning of and even the week before. Our pictures are beyond beautiful. I’m really so happy with all of them. The lighting was perfect. My only problem is picking photos to frame because there are too many beautiful ones. She blended right in with our wedding party, jumping in to help with my dress buttons and all! Don’t think about it- just book her!
