Eivans was great. They were very professional, affordable and on top of everything we asked. We had the upmost pleasure working with Raquel on our Wedding Day. She was AWESOME! She was there with us the whole day and seemed like a family member was taking your photos. She was very polite, professional and had a keen eye for great shots. We couldn’t have had a better experience and better time with Raquel. We were able to see some previews from her and now we’re dying to see the final result. She did such an amazing job. Thank you again Eivans Photo and especially Thank you to Raquel.

Natasha Lamalle Photography
Rating: 5.0 (29 reviews)
·Ratings include Zola and Google reviews
Washington, DC
  • Photojournalistic style

The best way to tell honest stories is through keen observation. How do I know? Because I spent 15 years as a journalist before becoming a wedding photographer. By paying attention to the ways you interact with your loved ones, I capture the in-between moments that will, one day, be significant. And using a trained eye and subtle approach, I do so unobtrusively.

Awarded Best of Zola
Natasha was the first vendor we hired after choosing our venue. She is astonishing. She seamlessly blends into the crowd to take photos that capture the essence of your wedding and always manages to find the perfect picture that will make you cry, laugh, and then cry again. She has a remarkable eye. If you want to get away from stilted formal shots and remember and celebrate the actual day of your wedding, work with Natasha. She makes the entire wedding process a joy, from the initial meeting with her to the date night she set up for you to view your photos. She also does "slice of life" engagement shoots which can be a fun and casual date night that she captures with her incredible camera. Everyone has been blown away by the quality of the pictures. There is a reason that she is a top world wedding photographer. I trust Natasha completely. If you are not interested in classic boring posed photos, you can do no better than to hire Natasha Lamalle immediately. She is a true artist with a camera. You will fall in love over and over again through her photos.

Cesario Mendez Photography
Rating: 5.0 (27 reviews)
Washington, DC
  • Photojournalistic style

When I am not behind the camera or editing photos, I enjoy short Uber rides to bottomless brunch on the weekends; right now mimosas and I kinda have a thing going on! I have a special relationship with bourbon and FIRMLY believe in putting food on the grill during late afternoons should be the norm. I am blessed to be married to the happiest person on earth (I am so serious), who just happens to double as my favorite person. She keeps me grounded and never fails to remind me how great she is.

Awarded Best of Zola
Cesar was so wonderful to work with, and his photos were AMAZING. He guided us through the process with such care, hustle when needed day-of, kindness and fun with our families as the whole night unfolded. All of our wedding guests have been going gaga over the photos. Everyone enjoyed getting to know him - he blended in just like one of our friends! I only wish we'd had him come for more time!

Precious Pics White Glove
Rating: 4.9 (19 reviews)
Washington, DC
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,000

With over ten years of experience, Precious Pics is proud to have made many brides’ days easier to remember by producing beautiful wedding photos and films. We are professionals at everything that we do and stay connected with couples before and after the Big Day. We help with your timelines, design packages specifically for your personal needs, and never surprise you with fees or hidden expenses.

Precious Pics White Glove was a great choice for our wedding photography. I liked their communication style, they were responsive and kept us informed throughout the process. The quality of their work was just as I wanted, capturing all the special moments beautifully. They provided a detailed timeline to help keep us on schedule, which was really helpful. My only wish is that our wedding videos were a bit longer, as I think there was more footage they could have included. However, they explained this would affect the overall look, so I understand their decision. Overall, our experience with Precious Pics White Glove was very positive and I would recommend them to other couples.

Birchfields
Rating: 5.0 (11 reviews)
Washington, DC
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,700

Hi! My name is Steve. I do visual storytelling. I’m married with three kids and in my spare time I record music and build things. I've been filming and photographing weddings since 2009. I love travel and getting to know unique couples.

Awarded Best of Zola
We hired Steven and his team to do our wedding photos and videography. I really wanted a photographer that could capture the soul of the event, and Steven did exactly that. His photos are full of life, and I shared so many portraits with guests that actually got printed out or posted online. If you're looking for hundreds of photos of your wedding party that look exactly the same and for every planned second to be documented, Steven is not your person. If you're looking to hit the big moments but focus on capturing raw moments with timeless photos to get framed, I couldn't recommend them more. I never thought I would get a wedding video because it always seemed cheesy to me. But after watching examples of his work I fell absolutely in love with his videos. I've honestly had a hard time watching ours because it evokes so much emotion. Steven was collaborative and willing to go with the flow. We gave him the difficult task of being prepared for 3 different locations with totally differing lighting (indoor/outdoor plus shooting from high sun into the night). He puts an immense amount of care into his work and the photos are truly art that we will cherish forever. If there are specific things you want covered, be sure to share a list. When it comes to capturing the moments that can't be planned, he is on the case!

From the initial communication to the final product, Meiying was incredibly professional and attentive. She worked closely with us to curate the perfect mood board, style, and aesthetic for our photos. Meiying's creative eye captured the essence of who we are as a couple 3. We couldn't be happier with the results and highly recommend her to anyone seeking a talented engagement photographer!

Bokeh Lane Photography

Washington, DC
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,500

On your Wedding Day and we want your personality to shine through in all of your wedding photos. You're going to have the best day ever and we'll be there to photograph every laugh, tear, and moment you wish you could remember forever! Our couples come from every walk of life and we love that they know they can be who they are with us! Comfort is key when it comes to choosing your Wedding Photographer because we're capturing your memories on the biggest days of your life. On the day of your wedding, you’ll say "I do", blink and it’ll be over. It's ok though! You’ll sleep easy knowing you'll always be able to look back at your Wedding Day in bright, beautiful color when you receive your wedding photos in about 4-6 weeks.

Nicole and Jose of Bokeh Lane Photography are simply wonderful! So energetic and creative! They shot our engagement session and are slated to shoot our wedding whenever COVID allows for that. We wanted a photographer that has a great eye for candid shots and heard about these two from a friend who had their engagement and wedding shot by them. My friend’s pictures were beautiful, so I reached out to Nicole and Jose. They helped us with every step of the process, even with picking out outfits before the shoot. They’re kind and professional and just so easy to work with. I am not used to being in front of the camera, whereas my fiance is a natural in front of the camera. I told them that up front and they made sure to make me feel comfortable while just letting my fiance be himself, and the pictures came out so great! They are highly responsive as far as communication goes and prices are extremely reasonable for such high quality work. Highly highly recommend!

The biggest failure at the end of our lives would be trading our intimacy for our fears in light of playing it safe. This season of your lives may make you feel unwelcome and even excluded as dive into your wedding research. Listen to this: No matter where you’re from, who you pray to, what you weigh, who you voted for or who you love; who you are and who you’re becoming as individuals and as a whole are what matter to us most. We're a team of people loving, color-addicted, and moment-captured wedding photographers based in DC with over 300 weddings of experience. We've shot stories in over 20 countries and 30 states.

Adam is incredible all around and we were so grateful to have him for our wedding! As a same-sex couple that does not particularly enjoy being photographed, we were most worried about our photographer. Adam's superpower is making you feel relaxed and natural - he knew how to pose us without trying to make us do heteronormative poses, he knew how to keep us laughing and comfortable, our entire wedding party loved him, and the end result was magical pictures. Adam is great at getting to know what specifically is important to you in your pictures and he has no problem running interference with family if necessary on wedding day - both of our families can be a bit chaotic and he did great at keeping 'family photo time' efficient. We had previously done engagement photos with him and it genuinely felt like 'oh there's our friend Adam running around taking pictures' on wedding day. We did not book a second shooter but felt that he was able to capture everything that we wanted.

James Ton Photography
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
Washington, DC

  • Starts at $2,400

"You just have to live, and life will give you pictures." The first time I saw the work of Henri Cartier-Bresson, I knew photography was my calling. His philosophy shapes the way I approach weddings—I want you to be fully present, soaking in every moment of your day. When you're enjoying yourselves, celebrating your love, and having the best day of your lives, the most beautiful and authentic photographs naturally follow.

If you’re looking for a wedding photographer in the DC area, stop and boom James immediately! We really liked James from the first time we saw his portfolio online, and felt very confident after our first call with him that we had found the photographer we wanted to work with. He was really thoughtful in sending us sample galleries from weddings he had done that were in similar venues to ours. We could not have made a better choice! He was good at communicating and working out details prior to the wedding, even scouting out potential locations in case of rain in the forecast. On the day itself he was fantastic and provided just the right amount of direction to get good shots while putting everyone at ease. He also captured all the special candid moments and I still don’t know how he managed to get so many different angles and shots during the ceremony. We also absolutely loved the video slideshow he did with our speeches and the photos. We’ll always treasure the stunning photos we have from our wedding and couldn’t recommend James more highly!

Hi, its Jessica, I am a couples and wedding photographer based in Virginia. My clients are so special that they find themselves a friend for a lifetime, not just another wedding vendor. I take time to know you! I love learning about your love story, the proposal, etc. I am hopeless romantic, so I will probably shed a tear at every wedding I attend or photograph.

We truly could not have asked for a better wedding photographer! From the very beginning, they were professional, organized, and incredibly easy to work with, which immediately put us at ease. On the wedding day itself, they struck the perfect balance between being calm and reassuring while also keeping everything on schedule and flowing smoothly. They captured every important moment beautifully—from the big, emotional highlights to the small, candid details we didn’t even realize were happening at the time. Looking through our photos feels like reliving the entire day all over again. The images are timeless, natural, and full of genuine emotion, not overly posed or forced! What stood out most was how attentive and thoughtful they were—not just to us, but to our families and wedding party as well. Multiple guests commented on how kind and personable they were, yet somehow always in the right place at the right time! We are beyond grateful for these photos and will cherish them for the rest of our lives. If you’re looking for a photographer who is talented, reliable, and truly cares about capturing your story, we cannot recommend them highly enough (:

My passion for photography grew when my daughter, Lotus, was born in 2004 and I began documenting her childhood with an eye toward catching each irreplaceable moment. Soon, friends and then friends of friends asked me to photograph their children and families. Before long, I was documenting the lives and milestones of people all over the DMV area. I realized how happy I was connecting with people and capturing special moments, and so I launched Lotus Photography in 2012 - named for my first muse. I captured my first wedding in 2016 and I was instantly in love with being a wedding photographer!

Georgette was amazing. We vibes right away because she was so enthusiastic and friendly. She checked in regular, was on time for every call and even reached out to remind me that we should check in. She wished me a happy wedding day the morning of and even the week before. Our pictures are beyond beautiful. I’m really so happy with all of them. The lighting was perfect. My only problem is picking photos to frame because there are too many beautiful ones. She blended right in with our wedding party, jumping in to help with my dress buttons and all! Don’t think about it- just book her!

Hi! I'm Nina and I run Ivy & Quartz photography! I shot my first wedding in 2013, but my journey with photography began long before that. When I was about 10 years old, my dad gave me a camera and I quickly became obsessed. My intrigue continued to grow over the years and I went on to earn my BA in Studio Art , Photography, from the University of Virginia. After graduating I worked as a portrait photographer and decided to pursue and earn my MFA in Imaging Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Nina did a fabulous job as the photographer for my and my husband’s wedding! From the beginning, she was very communicative and did a great job giving us advice on how to get the best possible photos. We wanted more candid shots of our wedding, and Nina delivered photos that were beautiful, natural, and artfully done. I actually received a remark from a guest, a former TV personality, that Nina’s understanding of how to get the best lighting was impeccable! In addition to being a warm and delightful person to work with, Nina has given us photos of our wedding we will be able to treasure for a lifetime. Do yourself a favor and hire her!

Working with Demetric is the best decision you can make. Both him and Jamar were absolutely wonderful, and so talented. All of our guests also loved them! My name is Casey, I'm a 30-something year old photographer from Northern Virginia who shoots on a combination of digital and film! With me, you'll receive true-to-color-but-better photos that are a combination of both candid and posed moments. While I am newer to wedding photography, I'm not new to capturing moments of joy, love, and tenderness between couples and their loved ones. When I'm not taking photos, you'll find me cuddled up at home with my wife and our two cats, going on ridiculously long walks, or watering my many houseplants.

From our first conversation, Casey made us feel at ease with her warm and responsive communication throughout the planning process. She showed up incredibly prepared on our wedding day, which helped us relax and enjoy every moment instead of worrying about the details. Her photography skills are exceptional. She has a real talent for capturing the authentic moments that made our day special, the ones that feel like our own memories. Casey went above and beyond to reduce our stress before the wedding, and her thoughtful approach to her work really shines through in every photo. We felt like we were in such capable hands, and the final images prove just how much care she puts into each wedding. We can't recommend her highly enough to couples looking for a photographer who is both skilled and genuinely kind.

First of all, Anji and Pete are AWESOME!!!!! If you are considering a wedding photographer, engagement shoot, or just a lifetime shoot, look no further and book them. This power couple has some serious talent and it's to capture your day/moment in a way no one can. We couldn't thank them enough for our awesome engagement session and because we loved the shoot so much and the pictures even more, we booked them for our wedding as well. They are so easy to work with and truly know what they are doing. It shows in the quality of the images we got. Every little detail is captured and we got sneak peaks the day after our wedding! The best thing is that our entire family and all of our friends loved them. They were so respectful, personable, and friendly and they even remembered most of our family and friend's name and called them by it. Everyone loved our pictures as well. They both work incredibly together and they have an understanding like no other couple in the business. Best of all was that they moved like stealth. The last thing you want is a photographer who is constantly in your face and that you notice walking around taking pictures. We didn't have that feeling at all! In fact, we were quite surprised by some of the pictures they took because we didn't notice they were around us. Working with them is a breeze and they are super responsive to emails, phone calls, text. They are timely, friendly, listen to what you are looking for, and are truly passionate about what they do. Which is also what makes them great! Again, my husband and I absolutely LOVE them! And so do all of our family as well as all of our friends. Give them a shot or should I say, let them give you a shot (pun intended) and meet them. You will be so pleased with their work as well as their personality. I am so excited I have met and found them and look forward to a future shoot with them already :)
