McKenna is THE BEST! Her pricing is competitive and reasonable and communication was so clear and prompt from the beginning. The actual day of the wedding she was an absolute essential. She was an expert not only at wrangling family members during the group photos but also posing us, keeping me (the bride) relaxed, and making sure we had a wide variety of flattering and beautiful images of our day. Best of all, she sent a preview over the next day and had the full photo set ready only 2 weeks later! Trying to keep this review short but there is truly so much more I could gush about - just hire her!!

  • Starts at $3,500
  • Serves Trout Creek, MT

Founded in Montana, Prisma West is built on a deep appreciation for natural beauty and authenticity. Our work goes beyond simply documenting events, we craft visual stories that capture the essence of each moment with honesty and artistry. From weddings and elopements to portraits and creative projects, Prisma West is dedicated to creating timeless imagery that resonates long after the day has passed.

Working with Ryan was an absolute dream! From the moment we started planning our engagement/announcement shoot, he was all-in — and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better photographer. He hiked up a mountain with us (yes, really!) and captured everything so effortlessly: the love between us, our connection, the laughter, and even our pup’s sweet personality. Ryan has a gift for making people feel at ease. We were a little nervous at first, but he instantly made us feel comfortable and confident. From laughing through the hike to tearing up during our vow exchange, every emotion was captured so beautifully and authentically. The final photos are beyond what we could’ve hoped for. If you’re looking for someone who will go the extra mile (literally) to tell your story through beautiful, authentic images — Ryan is your guy.

Aurelia K Photography
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,500
  • Serves Trout Creek, MT

Hey! I'm Aurelia! I am a natural light wedding photographer based in Western Montana with a love for the golden sunsets, the wild west & all things travel. I am ready to be your new bestie all while capturing your unique love story through my lens, anywhere your love takes you. Let's adventure together! It is super important to me that my photos capture true emotion + connection with you + your lover.

Before we were even engaged, we reached out to Aurelia, hoping she'd be available for an elopement the following year. Her incredible portfolio gave us a strong gut feeling—we knew we had to get on her books before we made it official. From our very first conversation, we felt at ease. Despite being total strangers and miles apart, there was an immediate sense that she was the right person to authentically capture our special day. What we didn’t realize at the time was that we weren’t just hiring a photographer—we were gaining an advocate, a guide, and someone who truly cared about our experience. Eloping in a state we don’t live in came with its challenges, but Aurelia was there every step of the way. She was quick to respond to every question and hurdle, including coordinating a backup florist at the last minute when our original one failed to respond the night before the wedding. We were also lucky enough to have Aurelia take our engagement photos a few months before the big day. As two people who don’t naturally feel comfortable in front of a camera, we hoped this would help us ease into things. But what truly made the difference wasn’t the extra session—it was Aurelia’s gift for capturing candid, genuine moments without making us feel overly posed. When we sent her a Pinterest board of ideas, she went above and beyond—showing up prepared with props, and even driving a vintage car down a dirt road to bring our vision to life. Leading up to our wedding day, Aurelia created a thoughtful and organized timeline that we shared with our loved ones. Thanks to her preparation, everyone was on the same page, allowing us to stay present and on track to capture all the moments that mattered most. For my husband, the idea of six hours of photos initially sounded like a nightmare. But by the end of the day, he said, “That was the most fun I’ve had in a while—and my favorite memory with you, even more than traveling the world.” That sentiment is entirely thanks to Aurelia. She made the experience feel completely tailored to us, turning even the most photographed spots in West Glacier into something that felt uniquely ours. We truly cannot rave about Aurelia enough. We look forward to any excuse to travel to Montana again—just to have her capture all of life’s future milestones.

My name is Ali Cushing; a NY-based photographer working in a blended documentary and editorial approach, emphasized with a cinematic method, and a personalized, true to life editing style. I am honored to be entrusted with depicting genuine love, authentic characters, and immortalizing precious memories. I see beauty in the subtle details as much as the wide, epic scene, while I see glory in the mundane in-between moments as much as the heart thudding highs. I am adamant that everyone, of all genders and orientations, any ethnicity, culture, or faith, all shapes, ages, and abilities, are welcome and I’d be delighted to work with you.

Awarded Best of Zola
Hiring Ali was the best decision we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, she felt like a helpful friend who was there to guide us through the planning and execution of our big day(s). She was a calm and supportive presence during our wedding weekend who made herself known when we needed her, but otherwise felt like a guest with a nice camera. Of course the photos look exceptional, but what stands out to us is her artistic eye and her excitement about her craft. She went absolutely above and beyond for us in so many ways and my family and I are forever grateful!

Hi, I’m Isaac. In my world, light is everything. The cool ambient hues at dawn, hinting at what the day may bring. Golden sun rays catching particles through a tree as friends gathers to celebrate. A Cotton candy sunset peppered by patio string-lights as a DJ plays my favorite song. We all have timeless memories logged in our minds. For me, they are based in a language of light. As a wedding photographer, this deep connection to special lighting helps me produce dynamic visual stories of romance, personality and beauty.

Awarded Best of Zola
A few things that stood out the most about Isaac were how responsive he was, how he was able to accommodate to our budget, and how he took pictures from angles and views that turned out great on the photos. As a couple with demanding careers, I much appreciated how quickly Isaac was with replying to emails. We had a pretty tight budget, and Isaac was able to offer us a package that landed pretty close to our budget and only had the items that we needed the most (mini engagement photoshoot for the website and wedding day). Our ask for him was to get some candid shots as we feel pretty awkward in front of the camera. I personally think that the wedding day pictures came out more naturally because of the setting being surrounded with friends and families, and Isaac and Sushen did a great job capturing the candid moments beautifully. Isaac even had an idea for me to pose by climbing up a wooden stair ladder for a shot that I honestly wasn't sure how it was going to turn out while doing it, but it ended up turning out beautiful and magazine-like in addition to other ones that he asked us to pose for. Isaac put together a behind the scenes video that also showed the reactions of guests to our photo place cards before we had entered the reception area, and this was lovely in that we got to see our guests' reactions that we weren't able to see.

It never felt like we were working with a vendor; it felt like we had a friend by our side, and that’s something we’ll always treasure. From the engagement shoot to the wedding day, Chelcie consistently went above and beyond. She stayed true to her creative vision while embracing everything we hoped for. She listened, guided, reassured, and made us feel seen and supported through it all. On the wedding day, Chelcie (along with Sarah and Jeremy!) was a total rockstar. She came fully prepared, found the most beautiful locations, followed every request, and wasn’t afraid to try new things to get the perfect shot. She brought such a sense of calm and control—exactly what every bride needs. The 24 preview photos alone have us and our families raving. We already can’t wait to see the full gallery (and to print hundreds of them!). Chelcie isn’t just an incredibly talented photographer—she’s someone who made our wedding feel even more magical. Hi! My name is Mae, and I live in Brooklyn with my girlfriend, our two dogs Apollo and Bia, her cat Gigi and my lizard, Basil! I’ve always been passionate about capturing moments as authentically and magically as possible, and as i’ve settled more into this career path, I love that i’ve landed in a place where I have the privilege to capture and preserve people’s love stories. Weddings and elopements are so distinctly and uniquely human, and it’s truly the biggest honor to be trusted to document them.

Awarded Best of Zola
I came across Mae’s work when looking for a photographer for engagement photos in Central Park, and I was immediately impressed with Mae and knew we were going to be incredibly happy with the results. Mae responded immediately to all my questions, day or night, and took the time to video chat with me at length twice before the shoot to discuss what we were looking for in our photos. Before the shoot, I had sent her a few examples of what I liked, and not only did the photos come out exactly how I wanted them, but were even more perfect than I envisioned. The engagement shoot itself was so much fun, and Mae made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process, despite us thinking we’d both feel awkward getting posed photos of us taken. Mae truly had a vision for what poses, locations, and lighting would work, and the execution was perfect. Some of the feedback we got from our friends was that the photos looked like a magazine, and that they were “ethereal.” Even better, Mae somehow got us the edited photos back within 24 hours of the shoot. Her pricing is also incredibly reasonable given the quality of her work, meticulousness, and experience in photography, as well as the very quick turnaround time. My fiance and I truly cannot recommend her enough, and we are excited to work with her again in the future. She is truly an artist, and any couple would be incredibly lucky to work with her!

Years from now we are going to get to experience this day over-and-over because the quality of her photos is incredible. The variety of shots she was able to get makes it seem like she had second shooter (but she's just that good). Our first look was perfect. She made sure we got some golden hour shots and then got us right back to dinner so we could eat. She also is incredible at giving minor adjustment tips to make sure we weren't doing anything weird with our hands lol. Additionally, and this was big for me, working with her ahead of the wedding she reminded me how to be excited for this day. Wedding planning was stressful, but every time I got to talk to Lo she got me back to a place of being excited and joyful. The day-of when she showed up, she helped make sure we had everything covered, and kept me calm even when some things went wrong. I felt like I not only had a great photographer, but a friend who had my back and wanted to make sure my day went perfect. I am so glad we hired Lo. My groom teared up looking back at some of these photos. Hire Lo!
