My husband and I initially reached out to her because she had photographed weddings at our original venue, and we were completely sold after looking through her portfolio. Her moody, emotional, and intimate photos were exactly what we envisioned. We are not “cookie-cutter” wedding photo people, and with every set of photos we reviewed, we found ourselves literally gasping. Our gut feeling was only reinforced once we started talking to her and getting to know her. Neither my husband nor I had ever had professional photos taken, but our engagement shoot was so much fun. “I cannot recommend Laura enough to photograph your special day! Laura was our wedding photographer this past June and was such a pleasure to work with. While in the process of picking a photographer, Laura and I chatted over Zoom and I was pleasantly surprised with how easy Laura was to talk to, as well as how organized she seemed with her planning. Leading up to the wedding Laura was very communicative and answered all my questions immediately. The day of the wedding she arrived right on time and was incredibly organized. Her second photographer, Bia, was also a pleasure to work with. She was professional and fun- the kids in our wedding party loved Bia and she was able to capture amazing pictures. My fiance and I were somewhat dreading all the group photos that a wedding entails, however Laura ran this process so smoothly we actually had fun taking the photos! We were blown away with the end results. The photos came out absolutely beautiful. Laura captured all the feelings of our special day in every one of her photos. We also received SO many photographs- quite impressive considering I barely even noticed Laura taking pictures while I was so wrapped up in the day. “Working with S&LM was pretty good. They communicated to me closer to the event, and asked me for everything they needed and more. The pictures I have seen so far look great, and the small video I have seen looked good as well. They made sure I got almost all of the specific photos I wanted, and had a take-charge attitude while photographing, and making sure everyone was in the right place and looking great! The DJs were pretty good, but didn't know all the specific songs we mentioned that we wanted played for certain dances/moments. They also didn't announce the first dance until they were hitting the play button, which threw our choreography off until we asked them to restart! Unfortunately, some people missed our dance because they didn't know that it was happening. It still worked out in the end, and all the right songs were played at the right moments. All in all, I would definitely recommend Lights & Sound Media to prospective couples.”
