I help couples stay present instead of performing. For 25 years, I've photographed weddings for people who care more about connection than perfection. Most photographers pose you. I build rapport first and guide gently, because people look their best being themselves. Before your wedding, we meet to discuss what matters. On the day, I protect your time so you focus on your people. I find the light, prompt gently, and capture what actually matters. You get both film and digital. The photos feel true to who you are and how your day felt.
What sets me apart is my approach. I don't offer pre-set packages. You get a custom proposal based on what actually matters to you. Before you commit, we meet with no pressure, just clarity about whether we're right for each other. I believe in tangible heirlooms. Digital files are fleeting. I guide couples toward albums and prints that bring joy for generations. My art history background trained my eye. My lived experience as a daughter, bride, and mother of the bride shaped how I understand weddings. I hold space for emotional complexity. I honor your day.

Outstanding
I cannot recommend Laura enough to photograph your special day! Laura was our wedding photographer this past June and was such a pleasure to work with. While in the process of picking a photographer, Laura and I chatted over Zoom and I was pleasantly surprised with how easy Laura was to talk to, as well as how organized she seemed with her planning. Leading up to the wedding Laura was very communicative and answered all my questions immediately. The day of the wedding she arrived right on time and was incredibly organized. Her second photographer, Bia, was also a pleasure to work with. She was professional and fun- the kids in our wedding party loved Bia and she was able to capture amazing pictures. My fiance and I were somewhat dreading all the group photos that a wedding entails, however Laura ran this process so smoothly we actually had fun taking the photos! We were blown away with the end results. The photos came out absolutely beautiful. Laura captured all the feelings of our special day in every one of her photos. We also received SO many photographs- quite impressive considering I barely even noticed Laura taking pictures while I was so wrapped up in the day. I have zero complaints and only wonderful things to say about Laura. I sincerely hope to work with her again one day!

Excellent Wedding Photographer
We could rave for days about our overall experience with Laura and the end product photographs and prints we received. Laura's experience and professionalism were demonstrated pre-wedding with effective communication and outlining of expectations. She provided excellent advice which ultimately made the day of go much smoother. At the wedding and reception, we were impressed by how unimposing Laura was while still being able to capture the moments most significant to us, as well as the ones we didn't even know would be the most important to us until we saw them. When the fire alarms went off unexpectedly, she took it in stride, creating the most of the moment by placing us near the fire trucks and capturing some of the best pictures of the night. We sincerely and strongly recommend Laura for wedding photography and continue to be so grateful!
