You know when you meet someone and it feels like you've been friends forever? That's Heather for you! Heather is fun, kind, warm, and will be your ultimate hype girl! Aside from being an awesome human, Heather is a talented photographer. Don't know how to pose and feel super awkward in front of a camera like me? No worries, Heather's got you! She'll direct you on how to stand, how to put your hands, how your face should look, give you hot tips... all of it! She also has a sharp eye for beautiful landscapes. You're in good hands and will have cute photos, I promise. In addition to Heather, we were lucky enough to work with her videographer, Andrew, and another shooter from her team. The entire HCP team was so fun to work with you and will put you right at ease. I've gotten to do 3 shoots with Heather to date and am incredibly pleased with how our photos have come out. In fact, I haven't even gotten the final album for our wedding yet (just previews) and i'm STILL impressed! If you have the opportunity to work with this team, take it. I couldn't recommend them enough.

Mae Krell Photo

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $8,500
  • Serves Tea, SD

Hi! My name is Mae, and I live in Brooklyn with my girlfriend, our two dogs Apollo and Bia, her cat Gigi and my lizard, Basil! I’ve always been passionate about capturing moments as authentically and magically as possible, and as i’ve settled more into this career path, I love that i’ve landed in a place where I have the privilege to capture and preserve people’s love stories. Weddings and elopements are so distinctly and uniquely human, and it’s truly the biggest honor to be trusted to document them.

Awarded Best of Zola
I came across Mae’s work when looking for a photographer for engagement photos in Central Park, and I was immediately impressed with Mae and knew we were going to be incredibly happy with the results. Mae responded immediately to all my questions, day or night, and took the time to video chat with me at length twice before the shoot to discuss what we were looking for in our photos. Before the shoot, I had sent her a few examples of what I liked, and not only did the photos come out exactly how I wanted them, but were even more perfect than I envisioned. The engagement shoot itself was so much fun, and Mae made us feel so comfortable throughout the entire process, despite us thinking we’d both feel awkward getting posed photos of us taken. Mae truly had a vision for what poses, locations, and lighting would work, and the execution was perfect. Some of the feedback we got from our friends was that the photos looked like a magazine, and that they were “ethereal.” Even better, Mae somehow got us the edited photos back within 24 hours of the shoot. Her pricing is also incredibly reasonable given the quality of her work, meticulousness, and experience in photography, as well as the very quick turnaround time. My fiance and I truly cannot recommend her enough, and we are excited to work with her again in the future. She is truly an artist, and any couple would be incredibly lucky to work with her!

We had an amazing experience working with Pluvia Studios as our wedding photographer and videographer. He was incredibly intentional and truly listened to the shots and edits we wanted, which made the final video feel so personal and meaningful. Especially since our wedding was at different locations in San Francisco, Presidio, and our local church, I loved how our package cohesively looked natural, fresh and beautiful. During our first intake call he was concise and walked through the package we were interested in. We were in awe by the timeless and beautiful photo gallery and videos we received that we’ll cherish for a lifetime. JayDee was also very responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the entire process. We’re so grateful to have our day captured so beautifully and highly recommend him and his team.

Hi! I’m Bri! Cameras have always been a passion, but it wasn’t until I left my corporate job that I fully embraced photography as my calling. I started by capturing Jiu Jitsu, focusing on its raw intensity, but soon realized I love the mushy gushy moments—tearful vows, quiet glances, and the joy of saying “yes” to forever. Now, I specialize in weddings, elopements, engagements, and proposals, blending storytelling with emotion and movement. With a keen eye for detail, I create images that feel natural, artistic, and deeply personal—telling your story exactly as it is.

Awarded Best of Zola
Josh and I got engaged on 2/20/25 and Josh had hired Bri to photograph our engagement! She hid, I had no idea till after I was engaged. She did a wonderful job catching such a raw and beautiful moment between us!! Her and Josh even had to make a last minute plan and change locations for the surprise engagement due to weather, and she was very flexible, and worked with Josh the night before, and the plan worked out amazing, I still had no clue!! Bri is an amazing choice for a photographer for any occasion! Thank you Bri!

Birchfields

Hi! My name is Steve. I do visual storytelling. I’m married with three kids and in my spare time I record music and build things. I've been filming and photographing weddings since 2009. I love travel and getting to know unique couples.

Awarded Best of Zola
We hired Steven and his team to do our wedding photos and videography. I really wanted a photographer that could capture the soul of the event, and Steven did exactly that. His photos are full of life, and I shared so many portraits with guests that actually got printed out or posted online. If you're looking for hundreds of photos of your wedding party that look exactly the same and for every planned second to be documented, Steven is not your person. If you're looking to hit the big moments but focus on capturing raw moments with timeless photos to get framed, I couldn't recommend them more. I never thought I would get a wedding video because it always seemed cheesy to me. But after watching examples of his work I fell absolutely in love with his videos. I've honestly had a hard time watching ours because it evokes so much emotion. Steven was collaborative and willing to go with the flow. We gave him the difficult task of being prepared for 3 different locations with totally differing lighting (indoor/outdoor plus shooting from high sun into the night). He puts an immense amount of care into his work and the photos are truly art that we will cherish forever. If there are specific things you want covered, be sure to share a list. When it comes to capturing the moments that can't be planned, he is on the case!

Eric Turner Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,500
  • Serves Tea, SD

Hey there! I'm Eric, an outdoor-loving, laid-back wedding photographer based in the Midwest who lives for capturing those real, unfiltered moments that make each love story unique. When I'm not behind the camera, you'll probably find me hiking trails or discovering new local breweries. My approach blends documentary-style storytelling with a touch of editorial flair—meaning I'll capture both those candid laughs during toasts and those naturally romantic moments during golden hour. The best photos happen when couples feel completely at ease and free to be themselves.

Awarded Best of Zola
We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Eric was amazing to work with and super communicative leading up to the wedding. On the day, he and Alexis (his second shooter) captured beautiful photos and documented the day perfectly, and even shot a video of our full ceremony and produced a highlight reel of clips from the day! They were always present but never in the way, and struck the perfect balance so we could fully enjoy our wedding day.

Kailey Louise Designs

My name is Kailey Louise, a midwest-based photographer that enjoys a good cup of coffee in the morning, sitting lakeside with my family at our cabin, and third-wheeling some pretty amazing couples. I love capturing the moments that make life worth living + making sure you have beautiful memories to look back on. I will be your backseat co-pilot for your once-in-a-lifetime moments! I want you to remember the special days and the regular days. I strive to capture the candid, the posed the belly laughs, the surprises, and all of the in-between.

Awarded Best of Zola
Booking Kailey for our wedding was a decision I’d make 100x over. From start to finish, she was everything we could’ve hoped for and more. Her ability to capture the essence of our day so beautifully still has us speechless every time we look at our photos. Kailey was incredibly professional yet fun to be around; she struck the perfect balance of keeping things on track while making us laugh and feel completely at ease. When anything took longer than we planned, she was able to get us back on track while managing to capture all of the moments we wanted. As someone that is uncomfortable being photographed, she made it so easy to feel comfortable in front of the camera. What really stood out was her level of organization. She coordinated seamlessly with our other vendors, keeping the day flowing smoothly without us ever having to worry. Every moment felt effortless because of how well she planned and communicated. And the pictures were absolutely stunning. The way she sees the world through her lens is something special. We loved seeing the day through her eyes and are so grateful to have these memories captured so beautifully. Kailey is a true talent, and working with her was one of the best choices we made for our wedding and engagement photos.

Roman Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $2,000
  • Serves Tea, SD

I’m a professionally trained photographer and a graduate of a professional photography program. I spent 10 years as a photojournalist covering news, sports, and political campaigns, learning to anticipate moments, stay calm under pressure, work fast in changing light, and capture real emotion without being obtrusive. That documentary foundation is what I bring to weddings. For 25 years, I’ve photographed weddings as a wedding photojournalist, focused on authentic moments, real interactions, and the in-between details. For portraits, I keep things artistic and natural with gentle direction, and family photos organized.

My wife and I used Roman Photography's services for our wedding in 2015 - we absolutely adore the the photos. Our fun and family were captured beautifully. We loved the work so much, we contacted Roman again ten years later to do our anniversary photos. Roman came out and did another magnificent job. He kept things playful and light (we're both uncomfortable in front of the camera) but still professional. I can't recommend Roman Photography enough!

Hello! My name is Aanna and I can't wait to meet you. When I was seven years old, my parents gifted me with a tape recorder. It became my aim to document life in my home and beyond—an ongoing narration. Fast forward a few years and I brought my journalism to a new level when I spent my hard earned money on a camera. The rest is history—and a longer story for a future coffee date :) For as long as I can remember, I have been observing and responding to the stories and visuals around me; and it has only become more exciting with every person I meet and event I photograph!

Awarded Best of Zola
Working with Aanna was an absolute dream for our wedding! She is truly a one woman show and spent 8 hours with us and never missed a shot. She was incredibly helpful in making us feel comfortable in front of the camera and was able to capture us beautifully in both candid and curated shots. There was excellent communication that helped our day run smoothly and stress free. We have received some teaser photographs back and are absolutely stunned with her artistic ability! 10/10 would recommend her to any couple out there for their photographer, we could not be happier!!!!!

Danielle Robidoux Photography

Your wedding is not a performance. It's the way you look at each other when no one's watching. Your hand finding theirs without thinking. My couples care more about what’s real than what looks good on a grid. They want gorgeous photos but also want them to mean something. The couples I work with have depth. Their stories have weight. They want someone behind the lens who sees them. Not just how they look, but who they are. Presence over performance. That's the closest I can get to naming it.

Awarded Best of Zola
We are so lucky to have had Danielle photograph our wedding! She is the BEST, so creative & talented, and makes you feel so comfortable. We have gotten countless compliments saying how professional and amazing she is, and we couldn’t agree more. We cannot wait to see all of our wedding photos come back and relive our special day all over again. We are so grateful for Danielle’s professionalism and artistry. We truly cannot recommend her enough!

Photography truly has a full grip on my soul– I love EVERYTHING about capturing special moments to be forever held in time! I consider my style to be way more candid, as I truly adore capturing an authentic experience that is almost tangible to the person viewing the photo. I want the viewer to feel the emotion and as if they were there with us right back in that moment. I love realness of a perfect candid shot…my goal—especially with couples—is to get to the heart of their connection and connect with my couples, as well, to truly make them feel comfortable in front of the lens so that we can get to those authentic magic shots!

Awarded Best of Zola
We had the pleasure of working with MoonTide Media for our wedding photography/videography. Shannon and Ally were an absolute joy to work with from start to finish. Their communication throughout the planning process was fantastic - they consistently kept us updated on travel plans and made sure we were all on the same page regarding the photography timeline. Most importantly, the quality of their work is stunning. We recently received a preview of some of our photos and were brought to tears by the beautiful images capturing our special day. Shannon and Ally have a true talent for capturing emotional moments without ever getting in the way. They were the hardest working team at our venue, going above and beyond to get every possible shot we could have imagined. We felt so comfortable with them that they even grabbed some extra candids of our wedding party that we had asked for with no issues. If you're looking for amazing photographers/videographers who produce breathtaking images while also making you feel at ease and comfortable on your wedding day, look no further than MoonTide Media.

Hi, I'm McKenna! The person behind the camera and a hopeless romantic. I describe my photography style as candid, romantic, and timeless. My goal is to make a human connection with all my clients and deliver images that you'll love forever. I started 1828 Collective in 2016 after I realized that capturing relationships and telling love stories was my passion. Four years later I'm so in love with my job that I often forget I'm working. I find joy in capturing love, hearing about how you met, and everything in between.

We were recently married in June and had McKenna as our photographer and absolutely LOVED her work!! First off, communication was so easy throughout the whole process. She was so sweet and accommodating to everything. We did our engagement photos with her and she drove all the way from Charlotte to Duke! Leading up to the wedding, we had a few phone calls to plan logistics and she was so organized it make the whole process so easy! On the wedding day I didn’t have to worry about anything photo related. She made sure to capture every moment we wanted without putting any added stress on us. If you’re looking for a photographer who also hypes you up to make the process more fun, look no further! Can’t recommend her enough!

What do you imagine your wedding to be like? Imagination is a nice gift we have. It helps us building our identities and shaping our individual uniqueness. Imagining carries a degree of anticipation, depending on our past experiences and who we are, of how something that hasn't happened yet is going to be when it actually happens. Like traveling to a place where we've never been before and we take photos of its landscapes and people living there: we tend to capture in those photographs how we had imagined that place. A wedding is a destination in the journey of life, perhaps the most important one.
