Hello! My name is Aanna and I can't wait to meet you. When I was seven years old, my parents gifted me with a tape recorder. It became my aim to document life in my home and beyond—an ongoing narration. Fast forward a few years and I brought my journalism to a new level when I spent my hard earned money on a camera. The rest is history—and a longer story for a future coffee date :) For as long as I can remember, I have been observing and responding to the stories and visuals around me; and it has only become more exciting with every person I meet and event I photograph!

I grew up with a life saturated in creativity. To put it simply: I love my job. My style tends to be joyful, raw, romantic, & bold. I love a deep splash of color in a palette of neutrals and natural light. I love traveling, ethnic food, & ice cream! Getting married myself helped me to realize the importance of wedding photography more than I could’ve imagined. I am also all about printing photos. I grew up in Spain right by the Mediterranean Sea, but my passion for photography started in 2006 while studying in Sweden. I got my hands on a camera for the first time and since then, I haven’t been able to stop. In 2011, I invested in my first professional camera and started my business. Little did I know that would be the start of my wonderful journey through the American Dream. I photographed my first solo wedding in 2012. I loved the experience, the romance and the beauty of the moment. That year I booked three more weddings and by 2013, three weddings turned into eight; eight turned into fifteen in 2014, and so on.

I am so excited that you are here and I can not wait to meet you! I often get asked why I became a wedding photographer. Honestly it is not about me it is about you. Several years ago my father passed away and I realized that I only had one photo of him at my wedding. I regret this deeply because he was such a huge part of my life. Jump forward 7 years and I have an amazing husband, 4 kids, my wedding dress and my wedding ring, but only 1 picture of Dad and I on that day. I have no photos to show my children how happy he was and the love we shared on that day. I would do anything to go back and get those photos.

I love being a wedding photographer and have been full time for two years capturing weddings in the Sioux Falls area and beyond. I focus on capturing raw emotions, laughter and whole lot of love in my photos, you can probably tell looking through my portfolio. So although my focus is getting those natural emotion photos, I do also get the smiling at the camera ones as well. For weddings, I go for all the BIG moments and all the in-between small moments that you'll cherish for a lifetime. As for me, I love coffee, family time, adventures/traveling/being outdoors, and interior design/DIY.

My name is Ashton. It’s lovely to have you here. I’m South Dakota-born but have spent the majority of my adulthood working as a creative based out of Amsterdam, NL, so I feel a bit like the city raised me. (For reference, I consider a three-mile walk for a cup of coffee a hike.) That said, I’m a fool for beautiful things whether they’re found on city streets or among the cornfields. I regularly swoon over color palettes, light and shadows, and intentional design.

I love capturing adventurous people in the Black Hills. Home is western South Dakota on a fourth generation ranch, between the Badlands and the Black Hills. I graduated from Lake Area Tech in 2015 with a degree in Photography and Business. When I’m not roaming the Hills with clients in the summer, you can find me at The Stables at Palmer Gulch, where I photograph and sell photos to tourists riding the trails horseback.

I developed a love for taking pictures, mainly portraits, in my early teens. In high school I took my first photography class. I continue to specialize in portraits but I do enjoy dabbling in landscape images when time allows. I attended Northwest Community College in Powell, WY and graduated with an AAS in Photographic Communications. I am fortunate enough to live in the beautiful Black Hills of South Dakota where my husband and I raised three boys. We are now empty nesters and enjoying our latest stage of life.
