I’m a Rapid City and Black Hills wedding photographer with 10 years of experience creating natural, heartfelt images for couples who want their day documented with honesty and ease. I’m drawn to soft light, real connection, and the quiet in-between moments that make your story yours.     The best experience!

    Charity at Beneath the Spruce was a dream to work with. Her communication style was timely, upbeat and responsive, and the quality of her work was excellent - high quality, with great attention to detail, bright and knowledgeable. She helped us with a plethora of poses and made sure everyone got the photos they needed in an organized manner. Beyond capturing the posed shots, she also documented timeless candid moments between my husband and I that we will cherish for a lifetime. Her work speaks for itself, but it's also her professionalism and attention to detail that make her stand out above everyone else.

Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.
Sometimes, I’ll bring one or more assistant photographers depending on the size of your wedding. Don’t worry, this won’t cost you extra. Adding a second photographer costs $500 unless your wedding collection includes a second photographer.
Yes. We provide partial or full video coverage based on your needs.
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful.
My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 6-8 weeks after your wedding. I will, however, always deliver your final gallery as soon as I am able.
You can expect about 80 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
I do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
In my 10 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by a trusted associate photographer. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
