Since 2014, I have been working as a professional photographer, from dance competitions, to headshots, press events, engagements, weddings, corporate, and picture day in NYC public schools. But no matter where my career has taken me, my favorite moments have always been about capturing love, connection, and togetherness. As your wedding photographer, I promise a relaxed, fun, and creative atmosphere, making sure you feel confident and at ease in front of the camera. My goal is to deliver stunning visuals that will exceed your expectations.

Lisa was amazing to work with on our engagement photos. She not only took great pics, but she was also able to really capture my finance’s and my personalities in her photos. She was so sweet to our dog too! I highly recommend her.

Hi, I’m Richard, a wedding photographer based in the Hudson Valley. My passion is finding the beauty in the simplest moments and capturing them in a way that feels raw, real, and full of life. As a candid, photojournalist photographer, I’m all about ditching stiff poses to focus on the relationships, the laughs, and the genuine emotions that tell your distinct story. I aim to capture the little details and authentic moments that make your day uniquely yours.

Awarded Best of Zola
Richard Krutick is special. A special talent as well as a special man. He captured it! The day after our wedding he sent me a teaser gallery of what was to come. I was blown away. When planning my wedding the photographer was the most critical to me -I was picky. When I saw his work he turned my entire way of looking at my wedding around. Richard and I had over an hour-long conversation and we clicked. I, having a creative director background and working with photographers all my career, was thrilled because we spoke the same language. I wanted honest, documentary-style moments captured without noticing the presence of the photographer. He was there when you needed him and you liked him. My guests were saying what a warm and great guy he is. He got their personalities, each and every one of them. He looks at everything with a special eye. Right at the time of my outdoor wedding with the most beautiful view and lush floral arbor, it poured and didn't stop. Gravel walkways turning into mud, no bride or groom wants to see. He just grabbed the moments and ran with them. Pivoting, he captured the most creative and editorial images I could ever dream of. He took the storm and made it beautiful. I hope I will have another event, moment, fun-filled party, or cherished time that he can again capture so we can work with him again.

This is delightfully different elopement + wedding photography! From helicopter elopements and lakeside wedding bashes to hiking engagements to weddings with bouncy houses, I capture the adventurous, quirky, and unique. Based in both New York + California, with travel worldwide, I've photographed couples on 6 continents. My creative, fun, & candid photography uses innovative techniques and unique ideas to get photos that make you look twice. Whether you're saying vows in your backyard or having a 3-day adventure wedding in the rainforest, I'll catch every spontaneous moment of joy and laughter—and plan a few unique shots on top of it all.

Awarded Best of Zola
Kathryn has been a friend of mine for 20 years, so I've been following her growing business and incredible adventures around the globe for a long time. When I got engaged, I knew exactly who I wanted to do our engagement and wedding photos! Not only is she fantastic to work with, she loves opportunities for creativity and "outside the box" moments. I loved the idea of playing with light at night, so she found a color-changing light device to create incredible backgrounds for our night photos! I also loved that we hardly knew she and her second were there during the ceremony. She's sneaky and still gets the most beautiful photos! I cannot recommend my beautiful friend enough, especially if you're looking for someone LGBTQ friendly! Unfortunately, Google is not letting me upload photos, but please check out her website to see samples of her amazing work!

We’re Hudson Valley and Catskills wedding photographers who specialize in intimate celebrations filled with connection and emotion. Our focus is on real moments, beautiful light, and photos that feel like you. Whether you’re planning a cozy backyard wedding or an adventurous elopement in the mountains, we’ll capture it with care and creativity.

Megan and Kenneth were the perfect photographers for our wedding day. From the very first conversation, they were friendly, reliable, and flexible - exactly the qualities we were looking for. Their work was absolutely excellent - the photos they took were stunningly beautiful, capturing all the special moments of our day (and turned around ASAP!). They made planning a breeze with detailed shot lists and helpful tips and were the perfect people to spend the pre-ceremony hours with I got every photo I wanted and more, and still had plenty of time to enjoy the party with our guests. They even got some great shots of our dogs! Megan and Kenneth are just great people, and I'm so glad we connected with them to document our wedding - it made the whole experience that much more special. Highly recommend!

Matthew Rigby Photography

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Tappan, NY

I'm Matthew, a wedding photographer based in Garrison, NY. With a decade as a wedding photographer and 15 years as an educator, I bring two things to every wedding: the ability to document moments as they happen, and the calm to handle whatever the day brings. I prepare carefully, communicate beforehand, and stay present when it's busy. My style is mostly documentary. I blend into the wedding, observing and documenting moments as they happen rather than staging them. Feedback I hear most often is that couples weren't aware of me, but that I got everything. I work with all couples and celebrate every kind of love, and every kind of marriage.

Awarded Best of Zola
I cannot recommend Matthew enough! For my surprise proposal to my girlfriend, he literally went above and beyond. On our video call consultation, I had suggested a viewpoint on Bull Hill in Cold Spring but we couldn't find a lot of photos of the exact spot—so Matthew actually hiked all the way up there a few days early just to scope it out and make sure it was perfect! On the day of the proposal, he arrived early to ensure everything went flawlessly and blended into the landscape beautifully. My now-fiance remembers noticing him but thought he was just another hiker enjoying the views. The natural photos he captured of us at the viewpoint and in the surrounding area are stunning. Matthew's dedication and meticulous preparation made us feel totally at ease. If you want a photographer who is adventurous, professional, queer-friendly, and willing to put in extra mileage (and elevation!) to get the perfect shot, Matthew is your guy!

From our initial phone call to seeing the final photos, Eddie was a dream to work with! He is a thoughtful, kind, genuine human and a wildly talented photographer. My husband and I cannot think of anything he could possibly do better. At the wedding, he went out of his way to take portraits of my friends with their partners, he cared deeply about capturing important moments with family, and several people — entirely unprompted — told us how much they enjoyed Eddie. He made us feel so comfortable during our engagement shoot, and took truly priceless photos with our dog. Eddie is the best. Hands down!

You know that all encompassing feeling when you’re revisiting a vivid memory? You can smell the fresh air, feel the way the sun hits your face just so, hear the voice of the loved one next to you, remember the joke that they delivered and instantly you’re laughing all over again. That magic is what I hope to capture as your photographer. It’s my job to hold those moments in time so that they don’t have to fade. You’ll forever be able to revisit the moment, see the exact way they smiled, revisit that incredible sunset, relive the memory and turn back time.

Awarded Best of Zola
We knew Jess would take great photos — we’d already done our engagement shoot with her and loved her work — but on our wedding day, she truly outdid herself. From the moment she arrived, she picked up on exactly what we needed. I (the bride) was feeling overwhelmed by how many people were in the room while I was getting dressed, and Jess immediately noticed. She said all the right things to calm me down and even offered to kindly ask people to step out so I could breathe. Throughout the day, she kept everything running smoothly. She knew how to make us laugh, how to organize big groups effortlessly, and how to move things along quickly — which I especially appreciated since I’m not one for endless posed photos. Jess doesn’t just take stunning pictures; she takes the time to really get to know you beforehand, and that personal connection shines through in her work. Our experience with her was so wonderful, it honestly feels like we made a new friend. We can’t recommend her enough!

Using Tasha Hurley Photography was the best choice I could've made when picking my wedding photographer!! Not only was she extremely easy to communicate with but also connected with us as a couple and understood our vibe immediately! We communicated our photography style wishes and Tasha ran with it and photographed our vision beyond what i could've imagined. I appreciated her flexibility and timeliness which created a very stress free and fun environment when taking photos. As we did a courthouse wedding, she also was our witness which was an extra bonus! We received a sneak peek very quickly after the wedding and knew we made the right choice - she even gave some editting options to make sure our photos were exactly like we wanted. The final photos looked amazing and I still can't get over them! If you are looking for someone who you can connect with you on a deeper level, has an eye for details and capturing all the perfect moments - Tasha Hurley Photography is the best person for the job.

Gjagji Photography
Rating: 5.0 (26 reviews)
·Ratings include Zola and Google reviews
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,800
  • Serves Tappan, NY

My approach is rooted in a documentary style that focuses on capturing genuine, unscripted moments as they naturally unfold. Whether it's the quiet emotion of an intimate vow exchange or the energy of a packed dance floor, I’m there to observe and preserve it all with honesty and intention. From small elopements to full-scale celebrations, I pay close attention to both the subtle details and the powerful, unforgettable scenes—because every wedding has its own unique story, and my goal is to tell it truthfully through my lens

Gjagji photography was truly one of the best decisions we made for our November 2025 wedding. From start to finish, she went above and beyond in every possible way. Not only is she incredibly talented, but she is also trustworthy, honest, and genuinely fun to be around—which made such a difference on a day that can feel overwhelming. She blended seamlessly into our day, capturing the most beautiful, natural moments while also being outgoing and engaging with our guests and bridal party. Everyone loved her energy! She made us feel comfortable in front of the camera and somehow managed to get every shot we had hoped for—and more. What truly stood out was her dedication. She stayed later than expected just to make sure she didn’t miss a single special moment, and her attention to detail is unmatched. You can tell she takes so much pride in her work—every single photo was thoughtfully edited to perfection. Looking back at our photos feels like reliving the entire day. She perfectly captured not just how everything looked, but how it felt. We are beyond grateful and cannot recommend her enough! I have 3 sisters and all 3 sisters can not wait to use gjagji photography for their big days!!

Stef Reyes Photo

  • Starts at $3,200
  • Serves Tappan, NY

Hi, I'm Stef. I photograph intimate weddings, NYC City Hall ceremonies, and micro celebrations where presence matters more than production. My approach is documentary at its core. I'm not directing every moment, I'm moving through your day quietly, watching for the ones that actually matter. I shoot both digital and 35mm film, not as an aesthetic choice but because film asks everyone to slow down a little. That slowness is kind of the whole point. Based in New York City and the Hudson Valley, available for travel.

Awarded Best of Zola
I reached out to Stef a couple of days before my last-minute City Hall ceremony scheduled for 9:30am on a Friday. That’s too early and too last-minute for many wedding photographers, but Stef was such a great sport. She took a few posed photos of the group then followed us on a walk up the Bowery and through Chinatown to get to our brunch spot, snapping fantastic documentary-style photos all along the way. We wanted to remember the moment for what it was, without staging shots. The photos were exactly what we hoped for.

What's up? I'm Mike, and I love making kick-ass photos. I'm not a wedding photographer because I "absolutely love making people happy and capturing their beautiful story." I do this because I LOVE the feeling of making awesome photos, and I love serving awesome people.

Mike is truly an exceptional wedding photographer. From the very start of the process, he took the time to connect with us and understand our vision for the day. His warmth, professionalism, and genuine passion for his craft made him a joy to work with. On the day itself, Mike felt like part of the celebration—capturing every emotion, detail, and special moment with effortless artistry. His ability to make everyone feel comfortable and at ease is just one of his many talents. Looking back at the photos is like stepping into those cherished moments again, and we’re beyond grateful for the memories he's given us. A good friend of mine has said that my brand is to care. She isn’t wrong-my brand is one of caring because my being is one of caring. I’ve been a wedding photog for 14+ yrs. I find that being a wedding photog is a gift - I barely have the words to describe how special it feels to be invited into clients’ most momentous & intimate wedding moments over & over again. I’m a champion for the weird & whimsical, the fun & funky - even & especially on wedding days. Plan your day the way you want to, trends be damned. Let your wedding day reflect your joy. That’s what we’re all there to celebrate, anyway. ✨

We don't even know where to begin singing Erica's praises. When she says "Client Friend" she really means it. This is exactly how she treated us from our very first Zoom meeting with her. Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, but she was such a source of calm and support all the way through the wedding planning process. When we had to find a new venue due to issues with the first one, Erica was so reassuring that it would all work out and she even offered to send me full galleries of all the venues we were considering. When I forgot to put my engagement ring on before our engagement shoot (!!!!) she encouraged us to go back for it and told us not to worry about the timing. And on our wedding day, the second she saw me start to get stressed during family portraits, she stepped in with the most perfectly timed pep talk. Not to mention, she and Amanda (another Sweet Alice team member) managed to make rain on our wedding day such a special adventure that I wouldn't trade it for sunshine even if I could! Erica is the most kind-hearted and thoughtful human and this shines through in everything she does. From the many little treats and gifts she sent us just-because, to her ability to make anyone feel comfortable in front of a camera... My husband and I are both very much not photo people, but ten minutes into our engagement shoot it felt like we were hanging out with an old friend. We heard this over and over again from our friends and family at the wedding too. AND THE PICTURES. Some of my favorites are the candids she took when I didn't even know she was shooting. We had such a lovely time re-living our wedding through the album she sent us. We both said that we were glad we didn't end up spending extra money on a videographer because your photos told the whole story of our day so beautifully! I can't emphasize enough how grateful we are that we found Erica- there is no one else we can imagine spending so much of our special day with. I plan to encourage everyone I know to try and book her for their weddings- if only so we can hang out with her again!

If I have a camera in my hands, then I am most definitely smiling. Photography has been my passion since I was a teenager and I love bringing that passion to weddings. I strive to capture all the intimate details that make a wedding truly personal. Don't be surprised if you see me crying during the parent dances, it's one of my favorite moments :)

Awarded Best of Zola
Sarah is firstly a gifted artist and photographer. As you can see she understands space and color in a way that my wife and I clearly do not but more importantly she understands what makes a moment feel special. We asked Sarah to deliver a documentary style wedding experience and she did not fail. When my wife and I chose Sarah, she immediately got to work helping us to plan our wedding day in a way that you might not necessarily expect from a wedding photographer. Sarah was so personal and friendly on the day of our wedding, it felt more like we had a friend taking our pictures as a favor. However, the finished products speak for themselves: our friends and family celebrating, iconic moments of the day, and our love clearly shown throughout. Sarah delivered organization, artistry, and value in a comprehensive package that can’t be beat.

Hey! I'm Nina. I'm a pretty energetic and charismatic person that loves love and enjoys life. Documenting through photo is my favorite thing on this planet. I've been a professional photographer since 2016 but really I've been invested in photography since I was 15 years old. My love for documenting moments came from a desire to capture my own life and that of my friends using disposable cameras, flip phone cameras and point and shoot digital cameras on beach trips with friends. I have used writing, art, and photo to document my life and it is an incredibly special thing to be able to share that with my clients.

Awarded Best of Zola
Short story long. We got married in September 2025 on a bright and somewhat cloudy day in a Historic Lodge in Hudson Valley. Nina was our ONLY photographer that day. I don't know too much about photography, but I do know that on our wedding day the lighting in the building and the grounds was varied and difficult to navigate. I highlight this because the photos that Nina captured and edited were BEYOND SPECTACULAR. Aside from being extremely talented, she was incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout the day. She provided us structure prior to the day, but made everything seem seamless and effortless the day of the Wedding. I highly recommend Nina for literally every occasion. I guarantee she will be documenting every life event of ours for the rest of our lives. Thank you so much Nina!

Cappy Hotchkiss Photography

I grew up in Amagansett, NY, one town away from Montauk, hanging out at the ocean, riding horses, and photographing my plastic Breyer horse models in different scenarios with my little crappy film camera, always searching for the perfect light. I have since moved on to photographing people with better equipment and I still always search for that perfect light. I now live in the lovely Hudson Valley after a long stint in NYC and Brooklyn where I trained under fashion and editorial photographers before starting my own photography business almost 20 years ago. Full disclosure, I'm a little scared of the ocean.

Cappy Hotchkiss Photography was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. From the moment we first connected, their communication style was friendly, responsive, and clear. They took the time to understand our vision and made sure we felt at ease throughout the entire process. The quality of their work is truly exceptional - their photos have a nostalgic, natural, and emotional quality that perfectly captured the spirit of our special day. Cappy's skill and creativity shone through, even in the challenging backgrounds of our intimate venue in Greenport. They beautifully documented every moment, from the getting ready shots to the ceremony and reception. The final images are timeless, memorable, and absolutely perfect. We couldn't be happier with the results and highly recommend Cappy Hotchkiss Photography to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding photographer.

My wife and I could not be happier with the quality of work that Allen and Vicki were able to deliver for us. We felt that their prices were more than fair and that the quality of the photos delivered was excellent. Vicki and Allen were a joy to work with during every step of the process. They were not pushy, listened to our vision, and were personable and friendly the entire time. They were extremely organized regarding pre-planning of what photos to take but also were responsive to the environment and any day of ideas. We would work with them again without hesitation.

Angie Gaul of Milestone Images is a New York-based wedding photographer capturing authentic, emotional moments with artistic flair. Serving NYC, Westchester, Hudson Valley & beyond. We have a passion for documenting life’s best days ever, including weddings, bar mitzvahs, families and milestone events. We document all the moments you never forget.

We had the best experience working with Milestone Images for our Modern Orthodox wedding. From day one, Angie understood the cultural details that made our celebration unique and special. She completely understood why cocktail hour comes first and could keep up with the fast-paced parts of the day. She texts back right away, which made planning so easy. Unlike other photographers in this space who tend to have a dated style, her work is fresh and current—honestly better than anyone else we've ever seen. I like to find beauty in the balance between the shadows and the light. They are rarely inseparable. They are complex and totally opposite and yet they can not live without the other. Just like real connection. What is real is beautiful. Only love is real. Your wedding day is important. To you. To your families. To me. And I don’t take it lightly. I understand that you’ve never done this before and you may not even know where to start! Don’t worry- I got you!

Sam was the first vendor we booked. From the moment I saw her photos I knew I absolutely needed her for our day. From our very first call, there was an instant connection and I knew she was going to be so much more than my wedding photographer. We just spoke the same language. Throughout the entire planning process she was a guiding light, helping us with the timeline and prioritizing how we wanted the day to feel. On the day itself, she kept everything on even ahead of schedule and worked expertly around the rain! She kept me calm, protected my space, and allowed us to be fully present with our people. There was no painful posing or forced smiles, only genuine joy and captured experience. Sam is worth her weight in GOLD. One month later, people are still telling me how much they loved her. If you can get Sam, book her and don't look back. I truly could not have imagined our wedding day without her!

My clients describe me as caring, passionate about my work, and trustworthy. I am honored to feel like an extended member of the family when I'm photographing weddings! When I’m not working with amazing people, you'll find me hiking in the Hudson Valley, brunching with my girlfriends, or planning my next vacation (mostly likely on a beach somewhere). I'm obsessed with warm weather, family gatherings, and sunsets. When it's chilly out, you'll find me with a hot cocoa in hand. If there's music on, it's likely country or throwback 80s jams. ALL people and love stories are welcome here!

We love Debbie! Debbie has been such a pleasure to work with through our wedding process. Since our first meeting with her, Debbie made us feel super comfortable and at home, feeling more like a family friend more than just our photographer. She has a great knack for getting the best shots and captures authentic feeling in her photos. She was so good at helping us relax in our photos (which was great for me as a notorious camera-shy guy). Debbie will be our first call for any professional photography in the future and we 110% recommend her!

Her photos speak for themselves but she also went above and beyond for us. After the ceremony, we greeted each guest as they entered the venue. While I was hugging everyone, she took off my removable sleeves and bustled my dress, while also managing to get beautiful pictures of us hugging friends and family. She heard me say before the ceremony that I would be taking the sleeves off and bustling the dress right away and she took action. Throughout the entire wedding day she was moving, climbing on top of things and laying out the ground to get the perfect shots. And she sure did!! She also posted our sneak peak photos the very next morning. We received 7 beautifully edited pictures before we even left the hotel the next day. Later that day she sent us a link to about 5,000 pictures she took at our wedding. They are not yet edited, so we can't post all of them yet. From talking to friends and reading things in Facebook groups, I know it is not normal to be able to see all of the photos so fast. It was such a gift to look through the photos so soon, instead of waiting for months. She works hard, she works quickly, and she produces photos beyond what we imagined we would get from our wedding day.

After being around weddings for years, I've found my place in specializing in intimate weddings, where I aim to encapsulate the distinct essence of every couple's love story through my lens. From the quiet glances to the joyous tears, having had the privilege to witness and immortalize numerous heartfelt moments, I'm dedicated to ensuring that your wedding day is documented in a way that resonates profoundly with your unique journey together.

Dayna is so great! She has such an incredible eye for photos and has a really beautiful way of catching moments. She also has a personality/demeanor that is so easy to get along with, and I really vibed with her. We got our wedding photos back in 5 weeks, and they are all absolutely GORGEOUS. She listened to what we wanted and what we were nervous for (and repeated it back to us to make sure she understood). I am so happy we booked Dayna and I wholeheartedly recommend her to other couples planning their wedding!

I'm a visual storyteller with a passion for capturing love in its purest form. With 10 years in the photography world and 9 years of experience in weddings, I've had the privilege of documenting countless love stories. My style is all about authenticity and emotion. I strive to freeze those genuine, fleeting moments — the laughter, the tears, the stolen glances — in a visual symphony that tells the unique tale of your love. I've always been a cheesy "lover of love." I feel lucky to document such vulnerable emotions, life-changing experiences, and really awesome parties!

Alex is AMAZING. Her photos left us in awe — I was so impressed by how she listened to my vision and adapted her style accordingly. Most of all, though, Alex excels in all things related to running a business — she’s prompt in email responses, professional with her contracts and payment process, and goes above and beyond to connect you with resources for a successful day (a last minute coordinator, in my case). This is what really sets her apart from other vendors in my opinion. Run, don’t walk, to hire Alex for your wedding!

Clean Plate Pictures began when Erica Beckman left her fancy Photo Editor job at The Wall Street Journal to photograph happy couples full-time - guess what? Weddings are way more fun. Erica earned her degree in photography and uses her twenty years of experience in the industry to bring exacting editorial standards and creative excellence to all her work. Her documentary style captures genuine emotions and artfully records events as they unfold organically.

From the moment we booked Clean Plate Pictures, we were impressed with their communication and responsiveness. Erica was always open to our suggestions and worked closely with us to ensure they captured our day perfectly. Her impeccable attention to detail and great eye for the perfect shot were evident in every photo. She was able to herd our many relatives to make the family shoot less stressful, and even made the slightly janky Hyatt Place look elegant in the getting-ready photos. Erica was so friendly and had a strong expertise on the best shots for our venue. We were thrilled that Erica was willing to travel to New York City to shoot our engagement photos as well. We absolutely loved working with Erica (and Elle the second shoot, a dream!) and would highly recommend Clean Plate Pictures to any couple looking for professional, talented, and personable wedding photographers.

Rebecca has been working as a professional photographer for over 10 years. She began with a small film camera, taking photos at her favorite concerts. As she grew, so did her unique style and her passion. She attended the Academy of Art in San Francisco, Ca. and obtained a BA in Advertising Photography. Over the past 10 years she has had the opportunity to photograph events in places such as Portland, Or., San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Monterey, Ca., Washington DC, Florida and now New York City. She frequently travels for her photography and loves every moment.

Where do I begin... When I first started looking for a photographer I had a certain vision in mind. I didn't want the typical posed pictures for engagement/wedding pictures. I wanted someone whose work stood out and was unique. I emailed Becca as soon as I came across her work hoping she had our wedding date opened. She did! I think after like two emails back and forth I booked her, I knew she was the photographer for us, super chill and laid back. When we first met for our engagement pictures I was super nervous, my husband and I aren't photogenic at all, and personally I feel like pictures are awkward. Becca is a natural, I felt like I was hanging out with a long lost friend and she made us both feel beyond comfortable. She got our pictures back to us within a week and we were OBSESSED! Fast forward to our wedding day... Becca and her assistant Raven went above and beyond... No words can explain how happy we are with our albums. I can't wait for our future photo sessions together!
