Having our wedding at Bay Pointe was to put it simply: perfection. We booked our wedding over a year in advance and from the first few seconds that we stepped in for our tour of the venue, we were in love. Mariesa, our sales manager, was so personable and so accommodating. The entire process leading up to the wedding was so efficient working with Madison. She was so communicative and so easy to work with. All of our changes, questions, recommendations, literally everything - she had an answer to! We always felt so welcomed by the entire staff. Our rehearsal dinner at the Bay Pointe Bar and Grill was beautiful and the staff that night were amazing - they made sure we were doing ok, our family was fed and everyone was having a good time. Lauren, our day of coordinator was excellent at her job. She worked so well with all of our vendors and family. We had the BEST time ever. The value is worth the money you spend. A huge thank you to everyone on the Bay Pointe team who helped us along the way and the weekend of.

Jerry and his crew made out wedding day incredible! They helped run the whole day, they got the guests seated, kept everything on schedule, and ensured that Ben and I didn't have to worry about anything. When our flowergirl got stage-fright right before walking down the aisle, Jerry swooped in to save the day and helped her find her mom. We initially didn't plan to do a grand entrance into the reception, but Jerry and the DJ (Megan from Music that Moves) made one happen last-minute so our flower girl could have a second shot ar throwing her petals. You're not just getting a venue at Parkway, you're getting a whole team who will make your event run smoothly. If we ever do a vow renewal or anniversary party, we will be back!

The Olympia Fields Park District is possibly one of the best park districts in the south suburbs. Every location they offer to have an event at is top tier. The Olympia Fields Park District is a photographer's dream. Whether you are planning a wedding, bridal shower, party, celebration, corporate retreat, workshop, retirement dinner, or an association meeting, their facilities can provide the perfect setting for you. The Bradford barn takes the cake when it comes to ELEGANCE. I worked as a photographer at every location the Olympia Fields Park District has to offer and they all receive five stars from me. The thing that gives Olympia Fields Park District the Superior advantage over other locations and park districts is the option to have everything set up how you want it. From the catering to the layout to the design, they don't get in your way. Most banquet halls force your hand when it comes to catering or using their partners, but the Olympia Fields Park District let's you host your event how you would like to. Also their locations bring a different kind of highly upscale energy. When you host an event in the Olympia Fields Park District, there's a certain level of excellence and class that comes with it. If you plan on renting one of their facilities, I would strongly suggest calling to check if the date and time you are looking to get is available. They host lots of events and you don't want to find yourself thinking you will be able to rent a location and it is already booked up.

The space itself is absolutely breathtaking—we honestly didn't need to do much decorating because the venue's natural beauty spoke for itself. Any decor we did add only magnified the elegance of the rooms. • Exudes old-world charm

Venue considerations

The venue is truly amazing. The terrance for our ceremony looked over the Michigan Lake and the City of Chicago Skyline. The indoor area to eat and dance shows a great classy and modern decor. The venue definitely speaks for itself, and does not require much decorations to reflect a beautiful wedding. One downside we experienced was communication. My wife and I were shocked on some of the responses. This was our first time getting married, and some of the communications back to us made it seem like we should know everything about the wedding industry. We also had to repeat multiple emails and communications even though this information was given to another college at the venue.

Located in a historic 1911 building, it’s been sustainably rehabbed while keeping its raw but elegant essence/nature, it is the most unique space in Chicago. Here you will find your ultimate space for any special event whether it’s a wedding, special occasion, or an intimate gathering. Skyline Loft is completely transformable to make your event unique and unforgettable.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Allows pets
  • Provides a dedicated team on-site

Venue considerations

  • No on-premises lodging options
  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists
  • No all-inclusive dining options
We had an amazing experience with the Sculpture Garden at Bridgeport Art Center. We started our process with Claire who was super accommodating with a last minute Friday evening tour to accommodate my work schedule, once we booked we worked with Eleanor who was also wonderful. Communication with both was timely and efficient and they were super patient with all my questions! The space itself was stunning, guests are still commenting on it a month later! For us it was awesome to have an “outdoor wedding” that didn’t need a rain plan due to the cover on the ceremony space. You felt like you were outside with more of the comforts of an inside space, and the pictures turned out amazing with the natural light, tall ceilings and chandeliers! The indoor space is just as lovely and the night flowed beautifully thanks to the venue team!

Magik Street sets the stage for unforgettable experiences, where the warmth of exposed brick and the vibrancy of murals intertwine with Chicago's industrial spirit. Imagine the inviting aroma of live cooking wafting from the open-concept kitchen, complemented by the lively atmosphere of a custom-built bar, and a entertainment lounge. Step onto the private patio, adorned with twinkling café lights, and let the celebration flow seamlessly into the night.

  • Full catering menu to choose from
  • Promotes a party atmosphere
  • Offers full-service amenities

Venue considerations

  • No on-premises lodging options
  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • No dedicated areas for getting ready
I recently attended a wedding industry networking event at Magik Street, and the space truly lives up to its name. From the moment you walk in, there’s an unmistakable creative energy that feels modern, artistic, and just a little bit unexpected in the best way. The vibe strikes a perfect balance between upscale and approachable, making it ideal for both professional mingling and genuine connection. The decor feels intentionally curated without being overdone. It’s the kind of venue that feels like a blank canvas while still having a strong identity, it felt perfect for weddings or styled events where ambiance matters. The space felt inspired, comfortable, and engaging. It encouraged conversation naturally, with a layout that allowed guests to flow easily. The outdoor patio space was a huge plus, we enjoyed being able to step out and enjoy the firepits! . The food was a big highlight. The passed appetizers were thoughtfully presented, elevated bites that felt both creative and satisfying. The stations were equally impressive, offering a variety of options that catered to different tastes. I hadn’t seen live food stations at a networking event before it was a nice touch! Everything felt intentional and well-executed, adding to the overall experience rather than just filling a requirement. Overall, Magik Street delivered not just a venue for our event, but an experience. It’s a space that fosters connection, creativity, and memorable experience, especially notable for events rooted in design and celebration like in the wedding industry. Hope to attend more events at Magik and will be sharing with my clients!

Lacuna Lofts saved the day after our first venue closed. We loved the unique space. The food was amazing—some of our guests said it was the best wedding dinner they've ever had! (The mashed potatoes were a real crowd pleaser.) It ended up raining on our wedding day, so we had to pivot and have our ceremony in Magik Street rather than the skydeck. The space worked perfectly with our flowers, and our guests still got to grab photos on the roof during cocktail hour.

We planned a wedding for just over 1 year in a different time zone. From our first visit to the venue, we knew this would be the wedding of our dreams. Our wedding coordinator, Lisa, was always accommodating, gave us a very reasonable timeline and clear tasks to perform as well as due dates for payments, etc. We never felt overwhelmed by her requests and she kept us on track every step of the way. The last couple months were obviously more task intensive but due to her vast experience and clear communication we were never in doubt about what she expected from us. Additionally, during the planning process she provided multiple options for decor, venue arrangements, as well as vendor recommendations. We utilized the vendor recommendations for the photographer, florist, and cake, and each one exceeded our expectations. The photographer (Shane Lawrence Photography) was extremely professional and proficient, and produced quality photos (and video) that we will have for a lifetime. The florist (La Petite Fleuriste) created beautiful arrangements for the ceremony, gorgeous bouquets for the bridesmaids and bride, and assisted with center pieces for the reception tables. The cake (Val’s Cakes) was a breathtaking display of baking artistry and tasted incredible! The first time we saw the cake was during our entrance at the reception and we were blown away. Also, multiple guests commented to us about how delicious the cake was, a notable achievement for a wedding cake for one hundred people! The rehearsal itself went very smoothly and after only a couple iterations we left feeling confident the ceremony would be executed well. On the day of the wedding the suites were set up and ready for us including yummy snacks and beverages of our choice (must be purchased through the venue due to liquor laws). It was the perfect area to get ready. The garden was set up beautifully and we barely had to put thought into it! The appetizers at cocktail hour were delicious, the bartender was attentive and efficient throughout the night. We were pleasantly surprised at the dinner (our parents had to attend the tasting for us due to us living across the country). The chicken was moist, steak not overcooked and the sides were delicious! It all paired well together. Normally plated meals can be underwhelming, but the food at Aberdeen was exceptional. The wait staff was attentive, efficient and professional and there were adequate servers for the amount of tables we had. Throughout the entire night we felt supported by our coordinator and the entire staff, but they did not bother us with frivolous questions. Family and friends have been raving for days after the wedding about how nice the whole event was, and how good the food and drinks were. I wish I could replay the night again. I highly recommend Aberdeen Manor for a wedding or other special event.

If I could do my wedding over again I would do it over and over again at the Barn at Cottonwood. We opted for the Giant Slide, Tractor Ride, Photobooth, Bonfire. In Lieu of a wedding cake, we did pumpkin pie and apple cider donuts provided by the venue. It was beautiful and means a lot to me that this was a family-owned operation. On the day of event, we had several attendants there for us for both the giant slide and tractor ride. Overall, it was a great experience, and I am very happy.

We were lucky enough to book Canal Street Eatery & Market for our wedding on October 19th, 2024. Working with the Canal Street Team to create our event was absolutely incredible – everyone who works here is kind, warm and provided top tier service to us and our guests. Elise, the senior sales manager for catering and events, is an absolute rockstar. She ensured that our day went off without a hitch and worked very closely with us on all of the details that were important to us and our wedding day. She is extremely detail oriented, responsive, and above all else an incredible person. We love Elise!! Aside from the amazing team of people at Canal, the venue itself is absolutely jaw-dropping. Gorgeous high ceilings, perfectly decorated with a funky, yet simplistic design. It is truly the perfect setting for any party – and the pictures speak for themselves! We hardly added any of our own décor aside from our floral pieces and it was all the space needed. By utilizing the main dining space as well as their sister bar only a few steps away, we were able to have a seamless evening filled with delicious food, family and friends. We really cannot recommend Canal Street enough! Seriously, have your wedding here and come back again and again to relive the memories.
