About this venue

​The Lodge at KLM Park is surrounded by 52 acres of beautifully appointed parkland. Built in 1927 and designed by R. Harold Zook, one of the most renowned residential architects in the western suburbs, The Lodge exudes grace and elegance. It is as versatile as it is engaging, welcoming a variety of special events and occasions from weddings to social functions. The first floor of the English-style building is alive with character, providing a spacious living room with a fireplace, a piano, dining room, kitchen, alcove, and access to the beautiful patios and surrounding grounds that may be used for outdoor event space. ​

    Wonderful wedding venue

    We could not have asked for more from a wedding venue! The building and grounds are absolutely beautiful. The outdoor ceremony site is stunning, even with no additional decorations. The staff was well organized and very easy to communicate with, they even helped us with last minute back-up plans in case of poor weather. We couldn't believe we were able to get such a nice spot for such a good value. Highly recommend!

    Beautfiul venue but disorganized staff

    The Lodge itself and the grounds are beautiful! However, the event manager was very disorganized and rude at our walk-through a few weeks before the wedding. On my wedding day another staff member of The Lodge was there and contradicted everything we discussed at the walk-through. Although we kept them in loop throughout the process of creating the master timeline of the day, which stated that the last dance would be at 11:30pm, the staff memeber told my DJ to shut off the music at 11pm and would not let us have our last dance. It's a truly beautiful venue and it's a shame that the staff were difficult to work with and caused unnecessary stress on our wedding day.

    KLM is a GREAT Venue

    We love working with the team at Katherine Legge Memorial Lodge. The venue is in a great location and is very easy to work at, especially with their full kitchen on-site. It's a beautiful venue for events of all kinds!

Yes, the first floor of The Lodge facility is wheelchair accessible. The main entrance is accessible and there is a portable ramp for the back entrance. The 2nd floor is unfortunately not accessible.
Alcohol must be brought in by a licensed caterer or delivered directly to the Lodge from an approved liquor purveyor. Alcohol must be served by a licensed and insured bar tender
Yes, there is parking very near the Lodge in Katherine Legge Memorial Park.
Your standard weekend (Friday afternoon / evening, Saturday, Sunday full event rental) reservation includes 8 hours from start to finish, including the time it takes our staff to set up and clean up. Any additional time will be billed at $250 per hour.
A $500 refundable security deposit must be paid upon booking your event. The security deposit is refundable less a $50 processing fee up to 30 days after booking. Thereafter the fee will be forfeited upon cancelation. The event balance will be due 90 days prior to the event. The payment is not refundable within 90 days of the event.
