Featuring a ballroom, formal dining rooms, sitting rooms, a library, and separate bride and groom preparatory rooms, the Mansion provides the perfect setting for your wedding and reception. For couples who prefer an outdoor venue, your ceremony can be held on Cheney’s impeccably landscaped grounds which provide an ideal backdrop for your wedding photographs. At your reception, your guests can flow from the Mansion onto the lighted patio and the adjacent renovated greenhouse which provides an intimate setting for guests to gather. The patio and greenhouse are also perfect for an alfresco cocktail hour.

The Mansion and grounds can accommodate 150 guests for a sit-down dinner, and up to 175 for buffet service. A tent may be placed on the grounds for larger groups. All private wedding events have exclusive access to the first two floors of the Mansion and the beautifully-manicured grounds.

4-5 hour event time with 2 hours for set up and 1 hour for break down. We also have an all day rental option. We have a preferred list of caterers we work with and that is separate pricing. $500 deposit to secure your date and is refundable after your event.

Description

Includes ceremony, full reception for 50 guests or less. We partner exclusively with Premier Catering on this package. Available Sunday thru Thursdays any time of day. Saturdays from 10 am - 2pm. $500 deposit secures your date and is refundable after your event.

Noelle, our coordinator, was instrumental in keeping everything on track on the wedding day—she worked seamlessly with our caterer and other vendors to handle all the moving pieces so my husband and I could just enjoy the moment. The venue itself is stunning with its vintage charm and intimate setting, creating the perfect backdrop for our celebration. Noelle's attention to detail and calm presence meant we never had to worry about timing or logistics. Yes, but it must be served by a licensed bartender. Our preferred list of caterers provide all staffing necessary for food and beverage service during your event.
There is no parking lot, but there is ample free street parking and nearby garages in downtown Oak Park.
Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible. We also have ramps at the main and side entrances.
Set up, clean up, tables, chairs, Event Supervisor and event attendants. All food and beverage staffing comes through caterers.
Your reservation includes 4 or 5 hours of event time(depending on day of the week) plus 2 hours prior for set-up and 1 hour after for clean-up. Additional hours may be added for $400 per hour. We also have a full day rental option available.
There is a $500 security deposit for all wedding rentals, fully refundable after the event. In case of cancellation, the security deposit will not be refunded, but may be applied to a rescheduled event within the calendar year from original reservation.
No, our venue is fully insured. Our preferred caterers are also fully insured. Outside vendors, such as non-preferred caterers, DJs/other musicians, etc. are required to provide insurance.
