About this venue

Homestead On The Roof— our cozy, secret rooftop— is tucked away above Roots Handmade Pizza in the heart of West Town. The magic of Homestead is its 85-seat outdoor rooftop patio with full view of the L-shaped, 1,000 square foot rooftop garden overflowing with beautiful flowers, two massive vertical hanging gardens, and a decorative outdoor fireplace. For weddings, Homestead on the Roof can accommodate both ceremony & reception. Homestead On The Roof is open year-round for private events and semi-private events during the summer months. Join us every summer for an exclusive new pop-up menu, available for a limited time.

Homestead on The Roof has become a favored Chicago destination for hosting events. Weddings, birthdays, corporate events, graduation parties, and any other special occasion will find the private indoor & outdoor space perfect for an elegant time. Nestled in between two natural brick buildings, our 100-seat patio features hanging and planted gardens. You'll also have access to our 80-seat interior, complimented by natural birch wallpaper, rustic handcrafted tables and intricate terrariums.

    We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue for our wedding. The setting was absolutely beautiful. Because our guest list was smaller, the layout felt cozy and flexible. The team worked with us to find a layout that worked for us. Every detail from the lighting/candles, flowers, food and cocktails, was a cozy personal vibe we were going for. The staff truly made the experience exceptional. The planning was easy, they were attentive, organized, and genuinely cared about making our day seamless. We were able to relax and be fully present, which meant the world to us. We are so grateful for the perfect day.
