Canal Street Eatery & Market is a full service restaurant. Located next to Union Station, one of Chicago's most iconic buildings, this venue presents itself as the perfect place for fun, feel-good get-togethers. Canal Street Eatery & Market offers numerous areas ready for your function. The main dining area, with its sleek wooden floors, spherical chandeliers, and timeless contemporary art pieces, makes way for a memorable modern-style event. Lush brown leather booths and well-built wicker basket seats also ensure complete comfort for you and all your loved ones. The indoor bar, fitted with warm-toned tiles, a smooth counter, and stylish overhanging lights, sets the scene for an afternoon or evening of sweet, succulent cocktails and celebratory drinks. The restaurant also features ample outdoor space for al fresco wedding feasts, giving you and your guests a chance to enjoy the Chicago summer.

Incredible
Choosing Canal Street Eatery and Market for our wedding reception was seriously one of the best decisions we made. Communication over the last year and a half was so seamless, the team was super responsive, stress-free to work with, and literally every single idea I had, they were able to execute perfectly. A few absolute highlights: The Food & Drink: The food was incredible!! We skipped a traditional cake for an untraditional dessert, and they totally nailed it. Also... the espresso martini tower was an absolute MUST and such a hit! The Space: The venue itself is just so gorg. The aesthetic is already so good on its own that we barely needed extra decor. Ended up just using candles and it was so beautiful. If you’re looking for a stunning spot with top-tier food, custom execution, and a team that actually makes your life easy, couldn't recommend Canal Street Eatery enough.

Incredible Venue!
The team at Canal Street helped us pull off our dream wedding! A special thank you to Elise and Thaina from their group for being such excellent coordinators to help us plan and execute our special day. They were super accommodating, communicative, organized, and gave valuable suggestions for various logistics. We had a vision of having an espresso martini tower. Whereas some other places told us no, they happily found a way and it came out perfect. The restaurant itself is gorgeous too. We highly recommend doing your reception at Canal Street Eatery!

Exceptional Wedding
We had our wedding at Canal Street Eatery, and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The venue itself is stunning — the scenery, the ambiance, and the overall atmosphere made for such a beautiful day. A huge thank you to our amazing coordinators, Elise and Thaina — they made everything run seamlessly and took care of every detail so we could just enjoy the day. The staff was incredible, communication was excellent, and the food was outstanding — our guests are still talking about it! We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you to everyone at Canal Street Eatery for making our wedding so perfect. Highly recommend to any couple looking for a gorgeous venue with an incredible team behind it.

Perfect Chic Downtown Wedding Venue
We had our wedding ceremony on the Green, cocktail hour at AfterBar, and our reception at the Eatery and the transition between the 3 spaces was seamless. All the food and drinks were fabulous, and the chic and modern spaces really set the tone for everyone to have a wonderful time. The location is also unbeatable, easy to get to via public transportation with a garage parking option on-site. The Eatery/AfterBar's event team were also responsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process, were thoughtful and accommodating regarding guests' dietary restrictions, and were great with our other vendors (Rob Karlic Photography, Naturally Yours Events, Flowers for Dreams, Defloured Bakery, Umaga Bakehouse, and BreezyBooth). I cannot recommend this venue and their team highly enough, and we look forward to coming back often!
