I'm Hanako! I'm your new pal with a camera ;) As a queer, multicultural photographer, I'm ready to be by your side and capture your love story - from the big moments to the in-between ones. With Afterglow Studio, I strive to capture feelings, not just moments. I want you to be able to revisit your gallery and be transported back in time, feeling all the feels from your day. It's an honor to be part of such important milestones, and it's my hope that you carry the warm, glowy feeling with you for years and decades to come.

My passion is in storytelling and centering you and your loved ones on the day. That means getting to know you two and the details of your story far before I show up on your wedding day. I'm in your corner from day one as a sounding board, an open ear, and a cheerleader, no matter if your big day is 2 months or 2 years away.

Afterglow Wedding Photography
From the beginning, Hanako was clear with communication and expectations. She helped with building a shot list, which was so helpful! Very professional throughout the entire process, helped walk us through the timeline when my wedding planner was dropping the ball. Knew how to politely tell my wedding guests that she knows how to do her job and she doesn't need suggestions from the peanut gallery! Hanako felt like part of the family! Seriously, I am in love with the photos she's captured! I will reflect on these photos for the rest of my life and think, “LOOK HOW HOT WE WERE ON OUR WEDDING DAY!” We looked gorgeous that day, but she captured our beauty! These photos belong in a magazine! The turnaround was always so quick! She caught a lot more moments than I expected! She was on the move and made sure she was always where she needed to be. On top of it! Very impressed with these skills! So friendly and helped calm me down in the chaos that was my wedding! Highly recommend Hanako!
